There's still some blue from these parts, and if you watch his interviews he seems pretty blue too, but damn if he isn't amazing. Way more country than most of what they play on the radio.
I saw Ray Wylie Hubbard play at "Love and War in Texas" in Plano, Texas a few years back. Ray's son was there playing along with him. Ray was wearing a Tyler Childers T-shirt.
Just a mortgage payment and some good timing, and you might see him, lol. I missed the pre-sale notification for Rail Bird Music Festival and now it's not even worth considering. I saw him live at Bonnaroo in 2016 and I'll have those memories forever. I'll just keep an eye out for the live clips from his upcoming show that I can't afford
D Adams yes that’s what I’m saying. I thought you meant gonna be good like in the future. I saw Tyler last year before the Rona. One of the best current
Did anyone besides me notice the cool cat that showed up at about 2:32 in the video ? You can’t be any more smooth and feeling music than this guy. I wanna party with this guy….
I'm an American. I'm about as far from a nationalist as you can be. I'm not a proud American but I'm thankful to have had the opportunities and fortune that are abundant here and scarce in most of the world. I bring this up because Tyler's music is something that actually does make me feel a sense of pride about being an American. He and Jason Isbell write and perform American working class cultural struggle and love better than anyone.
My favorite thing is to read the few comments from 7-8 years ago. People already knew they were watching one of the greatest.
How come this guy isn't a star! Smokes 90% of mainstream music!
He smokes 100% percent of mainstream.
Because everyone wants to suck that Nashville c*ck. God forbid we get to hear real music.
5 years later, he is selling out everywhere. a Legend in the Making
Well, he is now!

love seeing how nervous young Tyler was on this stage... he had the material... just needed that confidence...

Tones of a lost era!
Wow! Tyler is the real deal! Incredible voice! Glad I recently found he and Ryan Bingham, by far the best 2 I’ve found lately IMO #savingcountrymusic
Try John Fullbright if you haven't yet had the pleasure.
Go for Sturgill Simpson. Cuttin' Grass vol. 1 is 💯💯
Two of the best for sure. Give Arlo McKinley a try if you like them boys.

E. Kentucky pride... and I'm from nowhere near there
I’m glad he changed the drum tempo on this song. This version is great but with the faster tempo it fits the song much better.
He's good
how can you give this a thumbs down? good lord.
get the girls dancing while they're standing...is NOT a thumbs-down song
The 11 people who gave this a thumbs down must be deaf!
I wish ray would of done a song with him
Mother Hubbard is the GOAT.
Smokes 100 percent of it
Hes here .
This kid is different.
The drummer needs to pick it up way to slow
Oh...he was a Brad! Hahaha
It's always asked but who were the 5 a$$holes who disliked that $h!t?

man destroy that dude talking in the background... shame
His guitar is way lower than what he plays now. Harder to play that low
Windup laying on a pool room floor. This young Kentuckian can write some words.
He didn’t write those words, though.
Cooling board
@@TheYamahog12Who did?
Like Bryan? Who's that?
#pukebryan
That drummer ruined it.
Ruined it. He shouldn't play if he doesn't know the song.
Kevin Washam. He was free styling. He didn’t have to know the Music. It really wasn’t that bad though
Actually this song sounds exactly like a song ray would write. Coincidence or ghost writer possibly?
Luke
Ray Wylie don't be approving of that cocaine
That drummer hurts my ears
