    how about a 50/50 chance for either normal or reverse annexation? that way, large nations still have a chance to rise up, but it will be more unknown nations doing the rising-up

  • @FoundationAfro
    @FoundationAfro Před 2 lety +235

    Mod idea: any annexed province becomes a 1/1/1 dev province, with any lost development going to the loser's capital. Winner would get the regular amount of AE, not what they would get from conquering a 1/1/1 province. Countries would stay mostly the same strength except for the really small ones, because the losers aren't losing much development, while the winners aren't gaining much (I suppose the loser's capital trade good could matter a lot). And mid- to large-sized countries would basically be impossible to vassalize because they'd eventually become an OPM with a capital over 100 development, and impossible (at least for the AI) to conquer, because it would lead to so much aggressive expansion. Although that all might not do much except making a bunch of medium-sized countries and some really rich colonizers who can conquer the low dev countries outside of Europe without much bother.

    • @exantiuse497
      @exantiuse497 Před 2 lety +21

      AE wouldn't be a problem. AE from dev is capped at 30. A 1000 dev province causes no more than one with 30

    What if all religions (not just Christianity) could have personal unions?
    What if you convert a CK2 save with Sunset Invasion enabled to EU4? (It makes the super high tech Aztec nation appear in Mexico at 1444).
    What if all countries with Native American tech group received +2 gold per month and +1 colonist at 1444?
    What if default estate loyalty is set to zero instead of 50?
    What if the revolutionary tech is unlocked at 1444?
    What if you swap climates in the world? IE the Sahara is cold ice and Siberia is full of hot deserts, and flatlands are mountains.
    What if you tweaked global unit movement speeds? Either way faster or slower.
    What if you run a game with the console command "yesman" and watched? Would the AI use it? Exploit it?
    What if the HRE formed in 1444?

    • @thedukeofdeathpt6262
      @thedukeofdeathpt6262 Před 2 lety

      Per your first point, it's already implemented in the game. Though rare, Musleem nations can also fall under a PU. I say rare, because if you are either the Ottomans or the sultanate of Rum, you'll always get an heir no matter what, even if you don't have any allies nor royal marriages

  • @Tyler-ho8ts
    @Tyler-ho8ts Před 2 lety +9

    I feel like you could do some interesting stuff with the culture map mode. Maybe increasing the AI’s desire or chance to culture convert? Or applying a worldwide cost reduction to culture conversion? Maybe after a certain amount of time the culture of a province turns to the owner’s unless the culture is accepted? I feel like there’s a lot of possibilities! Great video btw the voiceover was done well.

  • @harz632
    @harz632 Před 2 lety +1

    Rigan Scandinavia is pretty dope.
    Ideas for mods:
    Sieging a province sets it to 1/1/1, whilst prosperity is full provinces slowly get free random devs, the more developed the longer the time in between those gains.
    3 dev to 4 dev like 3 months, 20 dev to 21 dev 12 months etc.
    Another one
    Casualties you inflict in battle are added to your manpower pool.
    Lastly:
    Reverse the prerequisites for institutions.
    eg. "Is in europe" becomes "Is not in europe"
    "Is not an island" becomes "is an island"
    "Is protestant or reformed" becomes "is not protestant or reformed"

    Wow, the nations who have large empires at the end must really suck. Hypothetically, they must have had to keep losing their wars to get that big. Which means that, after losing several wars, they owned a lot of land and still kept losing wars.

    Innovation spawn biases are moved from Europe to India / Indochina / China (up to you which).
    IE how vanilla favors the Renaissance spawning in Italy? Change it to favor spawning in Asia.
    Another one - move the HRE from Europe to Arabia & Friends. IE all from Egypt to Constantinople to the Ganges River would be HRE. And it'd be a Muslim HRE. The Ottomans would be the equivalent of France and India the equivalent of Russia.
    Third one - use one of the old CK2 mod converters. Like bring the After the End Fan Fork converter up, see if it works.
    Fourth one - find Dei Gratia, download it, enable ALL fantasy options, and do a religion time-lapse.

    Wars play out normally until the peace conference, in which the loser is the one deciding the terms on the winner as if they had won instead of the winner, with the same warscore % & CB effects that the winner had.
    Or a completely different thing: All nations start with all national ideas unlocked. When nations are formed or released, they also have their national ideas automatically unlocked.

    Mod idea. Every time you conquer a country you get all of the territory as a core, but every time your ruler dies, all territory is split up between 1 to 5 heirs.
    Vassals and colonies either get divvied between heirs or are released and ruled by heirs. PU are ruled by different heirs. But if only 1 heir, are merged by main country.

    Should make a video with each of the deadly sins :
    Envy : whenever IA claims a province, it looses a stab
    Wroth : each time IA does harsh treatment, it triggers another random massive rebellion
    Sloth : if the country doesn't grow for a certain time, it frees a tag
    Lust : if the IA gets a royal marriage, it kills its heir
    Greed : if the IA gets over 500 ducats in treasury, it goes bankrupt
    Gluttony : each time a tag annexes a vassal, it gets annexed instead
    Pride : each time IA reaches 100 prestige it loses all its legitimacy
