Nice. Glad you decided to keep the 86. What ended up being the diagnosis of the engine failure? Were they able to repair it or did you have to drop in a new engine?

Yessir couldn’t let it go just yet! Connecting rods were messed up due to oil starvation from the oil pickup tube getting clogged with rtv which led to the short block getting rekted and replaced :/

@@carantix Did you get charged or was it covered under warranty? Considering tuning my BRZ, but if it isn't covered warranty, might wait until it expires

We completely rebuilt the engine ourselves lol so can’t really comment on that but it’ll probably void your warranty if you tuned the car. There’s probably some ways around it like switching ecus or maybe changing some stuff around the ECU to look like it hasn’t been touched but we haven’t really researched and dabbled with it. It’s probably better to just wait😅😅
