Apple's 14" MacBook Pro is such a great tool that has been useful to a lot of software enginneers and programmers. But with Apple Silicon and Arm already established within the market for more than a year, can this live up to the hype ? Well take a look for yourself!

Finally found a video on what I was looking for, every CZcamsr who reviewed this laptop was obsessed with just content creator's perspective, but I think software development is real use case of this machine
Duuude! You're such an artist! The room design, the video, the editing, the shooting, the scripting, the 2 real reviews of the CZcamsrs etc... Such a wholesome video to watch!
I'm subscribed right away and I'm a big fan now!
You're gonna go far mate! Please keep it up!
I'm finding your videos after I took the plunge to upgrade from a 13" M1 Pro to the 14" but happy to see it's worked well for you and many others. It definitely looks a lot less sleek in comparison from various angles, but the screen is a great improvement and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the additional power once I start docking it.
As a Software Engineer who is looking for buying a new laptop, this video has a ton of information. I really liked this video and hope that many more videos for programmer's tech needs are made.
So you´re going with this laptop or will you chose another?
LOVE IT! 14 INCH will be on my bucket list before this year end!
This is so COOL, its like the collab I never thought I needed. Yet again another GREAT video! 👍🏿
Great video, Andres! You hit on about every point for development. I'm loving my 16in for JS and Java work.
I've used it for work and I thought it was insane. Also, your video color grading is insane. Love watching it!
Ok baby 😊
There is no other CZcamsr with such good colour-grading talents
Respect for ur high quality videos
Never stop are a legend
There is always someone better than someone. It's the judging person's choice at the end. So don't say no one exists with better color grading skills than him. Just say you liked his color grading better than anyone on youtube. Peace ✌️
I don't plan on upgrading my 14-inch MacBook Pro until M3 pro, possibly even M4 pro. It's simply a great laptop that will probably still hold much of its value if ARM continues to get better support!
videos perfect. super on point and can totally relate since I have the 16'' for a year now. Always feel its too big to travel with. Will def try out the 14'' when M3 which is 3nm comes out.
Being a software developer, I got the Mac Book Pro M1 16in for almost a year mostly cross platform and mobile development using MAUI. I got to say, it's worth the weight and extra battery life!
Iam so confusing about 14 or 16, Iam a developer too and dont know what i should buy, can you describe as developer based both of this ?
Finally somebody makes a complete review of the ARM architecture machines for programmers (which I had to learn the hard way after getting one). It's quite a struggle to make work your usual dev environment depending on what you program and if you have to virtualize a lot with Docker, which was my case. I had to return my M1 and get a Dell XPS instead. Love your videos as usual💪
For docker is bad?
Great quality and very informative video!
I’m already planning on getting this or the m2 so I appreciate your in depth review on how it works for programming. my 2016 13” pro is not powerful enough anymore. it’s ok when doing front-end projects but lags when I open lightroom 😅
Still loving my 16in MacBook Pro. I went to see it in the store and thought the 14in was too small. It might be because I was used to working on my desktop with large monitors so I felt I would miss the screen real estate when working on the laptop. I think if you can carry it with you in a backpack, it'll feel really good when you sit somewhere and get to work.
I had the 14” M2 Max for 3 days it was too too small and my eyes hurt. I returned it got 16” now
@@gurugamer8632 honestly don't get the "too big and heavy" argument for the 16in. Personally all through my college life and even at work I've been using 16in gaming laptops like the dell g5 and MSI laptops. Only recently moved to a MacBook and it's a breath of fresh air. Even some of the 15in laptops I've used in the past are bigger than it. Despite being 16in, it is definitely one of the sleekest if not the most sleek 16in laptops around. Sure it does weigh quite a bit in comparison to other macbooks but it's nothing compared to other laptops of a similar range in the market. I actually originally wanted to get the 14in, but due to lack of availability I ended up getting the 16in at a discount.
It's all about personal preference. I rarely use the laptop undocked
Hi, i just got the same MacBook today, its still on the way on courier tho, super exited after watching this amazin review!
Thank you so much, a perfect reviewing video
Great Video! Thank you for sharing 😊
This is the kind of video i want to see on my brand new base model M1 Book 14"
yes it is 2023 but god was it such a deal!
Thank you
amazing, thanks for sharing it!
Thank you for the review. I'm wondering if on the 14-inch model the font size is set up small enough to have enough space for code, is it comfortable to read it if a person has good but not perfect eyesight?
Great video! What monitor are you using in the office?
If you dont mind me asking, what softwares do you use? And what websites that make your programming and developing more efficient.
Thank you.
hi, which monitor do you suggest for programming used it together with MacBook Pro 14? And also, do you have a video that shows you vs code configuration (themes, font, plugins)?
Best review for devs so far in my opinion
Great video. I'm wondering what is your macbook sleeve's brand?
I love these videos man
Dude! awesome video, as always! one question! where did you get the windows 11 wallpaper shown in minute 8:17 ? SICK!!!!
epic vid!
btw whats your terminal font?
Super Review Video Of M1 Pro MacBook Bro Intro Super Cool 😎
Thanks for the video
0.08 Yes the real G.O.A.T 💯💪🏿
@7:52 ‘…most tools are already supported by ARM’ - do you mean ‘most tools support arm’? Tools (software) are built to run on chipsets - not the other way round. You compile ‘tools’ to run on a target architecture. As a developer you know that right? That aside - your channel and content does genuinely rock. Your desk setups and visuals are top class. Nice work.
As a professional software developer, this video is perfect. Bringing on other professionals was such a great addition. This was very informative and in-depth. You really helped me decide on my purchase (and save money by not going overkill on the upgrades).
Super happy to help!!
Regarding the 2 display limitation. It's not entirely true. If you get a displaylink compatible dock you can expand that to whatever you want or however many displayports the dock has. I have a dell dock and works great. You can see it in my first video 😂
I like this, Perfect. Though, I have never had issues with running docker, I run multiple containers most time to the point that some of the containers run for days, I will say the only issue I had was running android emulator which you spoke on, I just left it and use that on my windows laptop. Thanks for the wonderful description, Wonderful videos always.
What mbp m1 pro configuration you have? Is it 16 GB one? I am a backend engineer (but sometime need to run frontend to test the application locally). And the dependencies are docker (db, grafana, Prometheus). Wondering if 16 GB is sufficient enough? I am considering to buy mbp m1 pro 16 GB for portability (work from anywhere use case). But i have home pc to work at home
@@AgungPratama yes I’m using the 16GB m1 pro, I believe it should be enough for you to run your containers without issues, i run close to 3 microservices on my docker and at least one service contains postgress, rabbitmq, and the server itself, and most contains more than that. I’ve never had a down time except when I’m updating and it needs to restart. So it should be fine for your images or containers
Hey I'm also Android Developer, does MBP M2 Pro 14 Inch handle large project efficiently ? Also wanted to know do we get enough space for typing on keyboard or our palm interferes with touchpad.
Were you able to solve the android problem ?
I use M1 MacBook pro for php development and I'm completely happy with it
Can you please do a review on these macbooks for video editing? Not sure if the m1 max 64gb is an overkill for sony a7siii 4k60 slog3 422 color. Plus sapphire and BCC effects and color grading
So i was looking at a mac 14” M3 max with 1tb drive and 36gb ram or a 16” of those same specs. So from your video you say that a 14” working remotely like at coffee shops on a 14” screen is fine to work on? I love the portability of 14” but the screen size of 16”. Your thoughts?
I'm going into architecture in uni and I was on the fence between a m1 or m2 MacBook or a PC. But with all the 3d rendering and cad programs PC is definitely a better option but I really want one of these just as a laptop for personal use.
As an architect, i would suggest the latest samsung ultra book 3 to be ur perfect to go machine...but if u already got a full fledged rig pc, then u might consider the mba m2 as a handheld backup out of studio~ a pc with big screen monitor of at least 32inch is a must for cad, 3d n board composition..it would save u time significantly to catch submission dateline, compared to a big screen laptop~ so choose ur gear based on ur budget n preference
@@ibnujabbarulmukhlisin624 I have a custom workstation PC right now, it is more than capable to run cad. I am looking for a laptop to take to class and study with. Would a MacBook be good for light use in architecture?
@@kylercannizzaro4749 if u mean light use is just running ms office n web browsing, then mba or any other small n lightweight ultrabook would be best.
@@ibnujabbarulmukhlisin624 Okay, would it be capable for any light design work that I would need during a class? Also, would you recommend the air or the new 13 inch pro with the same chip? They are the same price. Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure it is worth spending money on.
@@kylercannizzaro4749 the mba m2 of coz, due to magsafe n stunning display...the mbp13 though look more stylish with sturdy built quality, the display is just too small for its body ratio~
Loved the GOAT intro!
What type of sleeve are using for your MacBook? I don't see it listed
Love the daily build
Is 16GB RAM enough when running visual studio on parallels or should I get the 32GB?
I love your videos bro
Thanks for sharing your feedback, I'm planning to go for MBP 14’ m2 Pro 32GB RAM
Also I have a question, is there any big difference in chip processor - 10c CPU 16c GPU vs 12c CPU 19c GPU ??
I’m a sale funnel expert and I do web dev , canva and multiple tabs with PAID ads etc
Just want to know whether the 10c CPU 16c GPU enough
I got one 16" macbook pro. I think this series of device is optimal for computer science students. However, 16" is a little heavy for daily carry.
I think the only improvement would be the weight.
Yes, this time Apple give all we want!
Is it worth getting the M1 Pro 14 with 16 gb ram and 512 gb ssd for $1600?
Or should I get the MacBook pro m1 13inch with 16gb ram, 1tb ssd for $1250? I’m a new cs student.
Can you share with us? What chair you have for coding long time? Thx ❤
I’m planning to move from my MBP 2017 to M1 Max. Do you think it is a good idea if I’m going to use Linux VM to run VS Code and Qt Creator in it and Windows 11 VM for Fusion 360, Cura and a couple of Steam games? Have somebody used it for C / C++ coding inside Linux VM?
Nice video. I got a Dell Precision 5470 14” which I think is very similar.
Hi, I wanted to know what you recommend as a pc/Mac for a teenager who would like to get into design and application coding.
What model and spec do u suggest for mainly be comeing a CZcamsr and college student in bussiness should I got 14 max chip or base
Awesome video! What is that blue/orange VSCode theme you’re using? Thanks!
If you figure out, let me know, please and thank you.
I tried the MBP 14 keyboard in Best Buy, and being a nursing student that types a…lot… the keyboard feels so good I couldn’t describe it. It was just the perfect amount of click. The perfect amount of key travel. The perfect weight to the keys. The keys felt…buttery. Almost like typing on clouds that had some weird ass enchantment on them that made it feel so smooth and tactile. I’m currently saving to buy one, I’m in love haha
as a nursing student too, a compact device sure is good! it helps our back since we carry NIC NOC Book around :"
Just get an Air and save yourself some money.
How do you keep the keyboard so clean?? I have the same laptop and the keyboard became greasy within a week, wiping doesn’t help either
Which VSCode theme are you using?
I’m new user to mac. Looking for mac for ios development. I only concern about performance. Should i choose M1 Pro 14 16/512 or M2 Pro 14 16/512 ?? I seen online said M2 Pro ssd slower than M1 Pro.
I own the M1 MacBook Pro and I totally wished I had saved up a bit more for the 14 inch model. Maybe next time 😅
Hi! What is that portable screen you are using?
Please How do you connect nodes to your IOS apps? can I get a link to a resource.
Great Video By the way.
What theme do you use in VS code in this video??
thank you for this site in 7:38 👏👍👍
great, can you do a video for the m2 MacBook Pro for programming?
What you use for color correction the video is good
did you buy a M28U monitor? watching your video from exactly the same model:)
What theme do you use in vscode 1:07 ?
I"m dreaming about 16 inches, I mostly use Elixir / Phoenix and docker, I also enjoy doing mobile apps, Maybe I should reconsider to take 14 inch Mac pro instead of 16.
That deadpan look at the start haha
Hi there, I recently bought a 14" M1 Pro Macbook pro with Mac OS Ventura pre installed along with 4tb internal ssd. I like it so far, but here are some of the things I have noticed and do not like it about it. First, the battery drains quick. and the second issue I have is whenever I want to to use an external hard drive and formatted in exfat or in ms-dos(fat) the macbook wants to run slow. and it's not with one particular external hard drive, it's with any other external hard drive formatted in exfat or ms-dos (fat). But if the external hard drive was formatted in APFS format then ist runs smoothly and quick. why is that? why in exfat or in ms-dos(fat) it runs slow?
where did you buy this thing in your camera??
Just because of that intro, you have a new subs hahaha
Using this laptop as a data scientist and SWE, I have 0 regrets about shelling 1600 on this. Best decision of my life.
Is the base model 16gb ram enough for you?
@@RabbilAzam I am constantly using 3 terminals, vs code, running a custom database, have android studio, spotify, postman all running concurrently with 10 chrome tabs. No lags whatsover.
@@saarthshah thank you so much for the response. I am thinking of getting one in a few months once it is refreshed
@@saarthshah main thing is display is damm fragile
please tell what mic you use in this video
excuse me, but where can I get that MacBook stand in this particular vid?
Can you do such programming video for MacBook Air M2,
Cause I consider it for my programming journey,
Love you BRO

You have just won a gift 🎁
Here in my country the Macbook air M2 costs 13,999 and our average national wage is 2,737
can you believe it?
For a devops work, using docker, minikube and visual code is bad?
Hey bro.. What is the monitor you are using?
Is 14 inch m2 pro base variant enough to get through docker?
Your one of my good tech reviewers..
Downside of MacBook Pro 14 is it’s too expensive in my region
Yeah it’s like $600-$700 more
as a swe, i work on my 13.3' macbook pro. loll I'm getting a 14 inch one soon, I guess 14 inch is def pretty good. It's better for the eyes loll haha
16 inch seems just way too bulky and big. Not really necessary, but it makes sense if you don't carry it around. I do carry my pc all the time, so 14 is a pretty good size.
Hi, where do i get your MacBook sleeve? Greetings from Germany :)
What was the name of those laptop sleeves?
I was leaning towards the M2 Macbook Air due to better battery life and portability but M1 Pro 14' has a clear edge over it in other departments like screen, ports, power, etc. What should I pick help me out guys
m1 pro 14 for sure, trust me the improvement from the m2 compared to the 14 inch is negligible even so that the internal ssd in the 14 inch is about twice as fast as the new m2 air and pro
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🥰
I agree that’s why I bought the 14” MacBook Pro
what is your laptop stand?
why no one talks about how much RAM is enough RAM nowadays? I have always thought that for programmers 16GB is the right amount but I am not so sure that anymore since you can offload building of your apps to the cloud
8GB with the Macbook air m1 is it enough to get started in web development?
Hi, have you tried to rum flutter on m1 Mac? With conection to the server by sql using visual studio code? Or is it Better to instal Windows to do that? Or maybe there is someone who did that. I would be gratefull if you can ShareYour experience 😀
Have you tried using android studio instead?
@@MrMegamsquare I was really trying not to use it, but I think I ll have to. Till now I was using php but I really want to learn flutter due to its flexibility, and I also heard that Google is working on the new operating system using it. But the fact that I have to instal many new things makes it harder 😅
+1 sub for acknowledging the GOAT!!!
bro you need to do a tutorial on interior decoration
PLEASE tell me where you get your wallpapers!!!!
Is the track pad small?
hi would you recommend 14 or 16?
dam late for 1 hours but. always love to watch this kind of videos ❤
the "glare" is not due to the mini LED but the glossy screen
After 13 days of purchase, my 14-inch Screen got hit by the MagSafe and make a spot, I have 59 days of applecare+ remaining and a 1-year limited warranty, will apple fix this spot issue for me? thank you
How would rock two monitor without a dongle how would that look?
