Just VFR flying in the land of the midnight sun (and showing off the stunning graphics). A tribute to one of my favorite areas in the world, the coast of Alaska, which I've been exploring via Cub.

Thanks! I have definitely put most of my hours in FS2020 into this aircraft. It's just soOOo fun with VFR flying in remote parts of Alaska where the FAA does not exist ;) "Oh look, another sandbar to land on"
I was fortunate enough to travel through the Inside Passage irl. Early in my Coast Guard career I was on an 87' Coastal Patrol Boat home ported in Port Angeles, Washington. Took the Passage to spend a month in Southeast Alaska, temporarily using Ketchikan as a home port of sorts. Growing up in Florida it was unreal, all the beautiful mountains, fjords, and glaciers. The absolute loneliness of being anchored in the pitch black starry night in some nameless bay with nobody else around. Watching so many salmon and cod jumping in the water it truly seemed like you could just extend your hand and catch one. I'll never forget it, the whole area really is a miracle of nature in its majestic beauty.

DCS will always be my favorite but it's been real nice to just ~fly~
So far I've been tooling around the area where I grew up, getting all misty-eyed at seeing everything so perfectly recreated. Also I've been finding my friends' houses.
But it actually turns out my fighter jet landings in DCS are more elegant now after time with a Cessna in MSFS2020

This wasn't just a visual experience, it was a spiritual one.
I have to say Nassault, I am smiling stupidly from this video. Though I'm taking things step by step, my end goal after my career is over and I'm nice and old is to Bush Fly in Alaska and Western Canada. I imagine it's some of the last rag tag flying in the world, and you've captured it beautifully here.

I LOVE the Into The Wild music. Alaska is AMAZING. Lived there last summer. Got to do a little bit of bush flying, it is incredible.

Wow, I missed this one somehow and as soon as the music kicked in I was taken right back to the end of "Kerbal". Insane to believe how amazingly far your work has gone in seven years. , if I recall correctly I left a comment about 3 ish Years ago on a showreel you made hoping you'd find work doing something you love. I can only hope you did because all your videos show one thing. No matter what type of video you do, whether it's historical, fiction or just plain cool. The stuff you put out and put your heart in is always awesome!

It’s indeed much more difficult to do anything like this! I was planning on making a cinematic but wow it’s tough currently.
Best video yet!! I must say I am dissapointed there is no articulation on the aircraft landing gear that is noticable.. Getting that right and a more uneven off tarmac surface would be unbelievable.
