"..Ground?"
"Plane?!"
I lost it there hahah
Factss
Best by far.
Especially with the focus effect 😂
Yup that's a classic one!!
Classic was about to comment same thing.
"Comon let the abuse start you cant let him get away wth that." I was rolling
If I remember correctly, the original transmissions had the other pilots' messages a bit more spread out so you could hear most of the messages. Here, the video smushed them together and it actually became funnier.
"where's our gate?" Lol
"Get his ass!"
What was the temperature again hahaha
So we’re the planes
love how after the "caution prop wash" he was just like "uhhhh...."
He was mesmerized by the Cessna.
He didn’t get the joke
He muted his mic so he could laugh 😂
I think it broke his brain a little bit lol
Steve definitely did that on purpose just to mess with him.
That Qantas pilot's brain just short-circuiting is fucking hilarious.
HAA HA ha ha
"ground" .... "plane?" lmao
‘Caution prop-wash’ hahaha. Even the cinematography there was hilarious! Phenomenal job as always Nassault!
I just about died when I heard that one pop up on an aviation channel ages ago and it never gets old.
That one got me so bad the moment the Cesna pulls into frame. I am in a library too, had to immediately leave.
Yep
@@guard13007 that shit had me dying
I think Kennedy Steve broke the pilot.
I opened this video upset and frankly angry it wasn't ace combat.
Fuck ace combat. Kennedy Steve is my new favourite ace.

Welcome Long Caster
The "Propwash" section was brilliant. I find it amazing that he can be so cheery and comedic in a job that's synonymous to stress
His jokes are funny and appropriate. They do not interfere with the flow of his work and break the tension of the serious chaos at JFK. He was a genius.
I loved how he pretty much broke the pilot with that joke.
Gotta keep them pilots on them toes...
@@Justin-ny8df Yeah, the Quantas pilot had nothin'.
Synonymous is kind to the word.
"Caution, propwash."
"Uh...?"
Oh my Lord I'm rolling
I'm surprised Kennedy Steve hasn't taken up a career as a comedian - this is right old gold here!
I’m surprised he hasn’t had a stroke lol.
He retired some time ago.
@@NatesRandomVideo @Adam P @william Herron Kennedy Steve retired as an ATC after almost 30 years in September 2017.

As an Aussie, I'm disappointed at my National Carrier's inability to respond humorously to the prop wash warning
It was probably just the jet lag.
I don't blame the guy. Having to deal with a 10+ hour flight, multiple stops and the knuckleheads that make up current American general aviation would fry anyone's brain. And this is coming from an American aviation-lover.
It may have been his first crack at it there ……
I wonder how long it took him to go from a nervous new controller who was careful to make sure he said everything the right way to realizing he could bring humor and sunshine to everyone listening in.
The Lufthansa getting out of the nose to close the panel is by far my favorite story of his.
I also just can't help a chuckle when he messes with the tugs.
Tug 6.
Steve: TUG 6 GO AHEAD.
That Lufthansa guy was a true pilot for sure
@@RhodokTribesman "Schiesse!... ... ... I'll just go close it" "But ve are on a taxivay!" "Oh, ja, we should probably ask first"
His English was pretty German. Embarassing for a pilot of Lufthansa. [German here]
_Is letting this guy get out on the taxiway gonna come back on me personally? Is this gonna be an insurance thing?_
"Ugggghh... I don't --"
_Actually fuck it he said he wanted to, and I have the best seat in the house to watch this shit if he steps into the engine!_
"Heh! Alright, you know what?"
"Ground?"
"Plane?"
The best soundbite ever!
"watch out for propwash"
I like to think the pilot just stares into the cessna and thinks "what can he even do to me im in a 747"
#thatsthejoke
or perhaps "I could probably pull him to me with a bit of throtttle..."
Yes… thank you for explaining the joke
Genuinely thank you for explaining the joke, at least enough that I could Google it to figure out what prop wash is (it's the force of wind generated behind a propellor, which can knock back people, equipment, and other aircraft. The equivalent term for that of jet planes is "jet blast").
I always lose it with the Lufthansa pilot wanting to park the plane to get out and close the fuel door! Steve's brain slipped a gear there for a second 😆
Yeah, I'm rewatching the videos again. That was the first time I heard Steve struggle to respond. He's very good at comebacks.
captain Joe interviewed him and they talked about that. Steve was like are you allowed to do that? but couldn't really stop him so speechless it is
@@jbreezy101 in the interview he recalled a maintenance team came out. The pilot didn’t do it himself.
@@karend1577 he did not expect that one ha
@horsewithnoname12345 I just read an interview with Steve and he said the pilot did it.
Capt here for a Major US Airline.
This was well done. I've had many years in and out of New York Airspace. Steve always made the "The Dread of the Northeast" an "adventure" in the career.
man you got to speak to the man himself haha
As a former airport worker, I had my own share of funny ATC/Ground Control conversations...
Some of them where so freaking hilarious I had to stop the tug sometimes because of laughing 🤣
I'll never forget the night a Ryanair B737 stopped at the wrong gate, the ATC officer that time was REALLY pissed and was very eloquent as well...😂 I never heard a chained insult longer than he shouted that night.
you cant leave us hanging what was the insult?
@@Fynnley525 Damn, I don't remember the precise words, but it was something about the commander being son of siblings, and an utter hillbilly, and the pilot being a twat raised by goats or something like that...
It was more than ten years ago, go figure...😅
Another one I remember was a tractor driver who hooked the GPU unit instead of the Air Starter... With the GPU still attached to the aircraft... The dispatcher almost threw her headset to him... Let's say she was quite pissed off 😂
@@johnnyrocketa1257 please tell me they didnt drive off with the GPU
@@Fynnley525 He did... Fortunately for him, it was on a remote parking and not in gate, so he just drove away on a straight line... It just broke the hook that secures the GPU plug to the aircraft and not the plug itself... But the dispatcher got hit in the ankle and started insulting him... I was close to that parking, she yelled at the radio how happy he made her so loud I could hear that both in radio and live 😂
Dude didn't got fired... That day, but sometime later was caught drinking a beer and was sacked.
@@johnnyrocketa1257 hook? is that a feature only on bigger GPUs? i work at an FBO and our 28VDC GOUs dont have any kind of hook or latch or anything, just the plug itself
Steve having a favourite tug implies the existence of a tug hierarchy, with one tug he hates, and that thought just gives me the warm fuzzies.
"caution propwash"
Kennedy steve singlehandedly causing a complete brain malfunction to that qantas pilot LOL
I’ve listened to most of the Kennedy Steve “videos” but this is like “seeing” them for the first time. Fantastic! Please do more. BTW, “Kennedy Steve” Abraham was a model for using humor in stressful situations. He’s the ramp manager for one of the JFK terminals now.
*'Terminal 1'* , I believe...
Noo, he supposed to destroy them, not to join them.
Is there a channel we can listen to him there???

That Quantas pilot after being warned of propwash. He's so underwhelmed lol. Another wonderful video, man.
In the original video when Steve warned him about the propwash, the Qantas pilot's readback was smothered with laughter. . So funny.
I love how that Lufthansa pilot was just like “I’m not gonna make a big delay out of this” and just went out and fixed it himself 😂
I would honestly watch a comedy show based around an ATC control person and the odd stuff he goes through on a daily basis
Wings but ATC
"Ground?" "Plane??" got me.
This whole video is fantastic.
I had never heard of Kennedy Steve and now I am glad I did. Great video as always Nassault!
Thanks Trip! Looking forward to your jet video content :D
We were all saddened to hear he retired a few years ago.. he is an ATC gold mine.
Just google his name in youtube, and you'll discover a treasure trove
I started watching and immediately thought ‘oh no another set of audio robbed from someone else’ but of course I was wrong, the combination of audio and graphics was brilliant. Great job 👏
Haha thank you so much Ducati!
I started to chuckle at the "Caution propwash." I couldn't contain my laughter when the Quantas pilot was too flabbergasted to respond.
Nah, He's used to professional ATC. not clowns with microphones.
1:18 The editing on this one was brilliant. Turned an average joke into an hilarious one.
Nice work Steve. A controllers dry humor is a pilots best friend. I retired last year after 36 years being guided safely by these pro's. Here's the best line I ever heard;
KPHL ground control, airliners littered all over the taxiway's & nothing is moving. The tower is located right next to the Delaware River & very close to where tanker ships are unloaded. A bored pilot looking at the huge tanker on the river say's to Philly ground, "That sure is a big tanker right behind you". Philly ground's reply, "Yeah..& if it were to go off, our tower cab would be like a golf ball on a tee".
Philly controllers were some of the best I ever had the pleasure of working with.
i know your comment was in homage to air traffic controllers everywhere but I want to personally thank you for your service to those in need of safe air travel. its tough work being in the air and I always admire my pilots when I've taken a flight. fly high, sir
The caution prop wash had me in stitches....and the Qantas crew stumped. LOL
Glad you enjoyed, Dylan! Steve is a real hoot!
Kennedy Steve can sleep easy knowing he never has to deal with another Aeroflot pilot on his runways again.
It seems most pilots complain about traveling through JFK, but Everyone loves Kennedy Steve, and for good reason. He is the Man😂
Kennedy Steve should be an AWACS lol
Now that you said it, he would make such an amazing AWACS in a new game ahha
Laughed entirely too hard and got extremely giddy seeing this involved Kennedy Steve
I remember listening to Steve one night and he told one aircraft to follow his "prom date" across 31R. His prom date was a Virgin airliner. lol
I've already heard all of these clips before, but the cinematography here is the cherry on top. I had a good laugh! Well done, good sir!

The cinematography and the editing was absolutely hilarious. This is the best ATC comp ive ever seen.
There will never, ever be another Kennedy Steve. His name will ring in eternity with the likes of Boston John forever more.

I've listened to John, he is a good ATC controller I have no doubt. But I find Kennedy Steve way more entertaining to listen to. The North American airline pilots appreciate, think the British did too though they probably won't admit it. On the other hand some of the European and Asian airlines I don't think quite knew what to make of him at times.

Hey thanks again Pyrelogic!!
Nassault strikes again. I never knew I needed this, and now I want this produced as a full budget proper comedy show. This was the most enjoyable video I've seen this entire year. The visuals were just absolutely stunning, down to the tiny heat distortion details. Simply superb!
I love how Space Oddity intro is sneaked in for "Space Case" while Kennedy is calling Virgin 9 Mike.

I had to look up *what Prop Wash is* in order to get the joke, but it's hilarious! Especially with the Qantas pilot stun-locked in that "are you kidding me?!" vibe! 😁
Nice cinematic bit, too! Perfectly timed!
This is why New Englanders will always be the kings and queens of sarcasm and quips.
Adding the visuals really makes it easier to keep up with the situation and relax into Kennedy Steve's wit. A great contribution to this man's legacy!
