    MSFS2020 is not just a flight sim. It is a virtual sightseeing tool often guided by local experts. What a time to live! Thanks for the guided tour of Anchorage.

    Had the pleasure of visiting Alyeska during a cruise tour of Alaska - I think I can see the lodge from this video. Will have to revisit in the sim, for sure. What a lovely place.

    Great to see this and can't wait to get setup myself after an upgrade. Grew up in Wasilla flying with my old man all over the place in his t craft and later pacer in the 70s. Plan to re-trace routes. 90% sure of that lake in the Talkeenas where got that first caribou.

    Very nice! That scenery is stunning. I live in Maine now but am from Homer, AK. My PC is about 10 years old so I don't see me getting FS2020 anytime soon but would love to see a flight around Homer.

    The clouds are great in the game you can even move the cloud layers up and down by grabbing the tabs on the left in weather I have been playing this non stop since Tuesday. I’ll have to add anchorage to my list of destinations to check out

      Another good on is the active pause default is the pause break button it freezes the plane but everything else keeps going. So if your at a place you really want to look at use that and you can change wether and use different camera angle even use the showcase camera and drone and look all around the area

    ! was a missionary in Alaska in college (1982) working with native children. I loved flying around the bush.. Ruby, Tanana, Galena. Our bush pilot was so suave (and older) he'd sleep half the time.. I WAS a bit nervous but he new the routes so well after a about a month of flying around it just made me giggle. Have you thought of doing a series of fly overs of some of the places in "Life Below Zero?" KAvik etc.. that'd be a fun series for people who follow the show .. thanks !

    That was sweet! I am from Seward Alaska, and was stationed at Elmendorf flying C-130's. It really takes me home seeing this as I live in California now. I would like to see some footage of Seward if you can. I am getting ready to purchase a new gaming computer dedicated to this. Awesome video!

    I've flown into Anchorage many times. Why? When Russia was the Soviet Union it was the mid-point on the London to Tokyo route. We'd spend a couple or three hours there. I always wanted to take a weekend break in Anchorage but never did. Too busy, I suppose, I was in the music business. Subscribed. Best, Pete

    I grew up on Elmendorf. I went to the house I grew up in and the game turned it into a 3 story house with balconies and even tho the neighborhood is flat it made a big elevation difference and a gigantic staircase.

    I'm from Anchorage Alaska also and I've noticed some things in the scenery that are aren't really too accurate, You will notice how you can't see the captain cook hotels and that building by town square is a hill with a building in it also if you look at the bridge that goes to government hill, it's inside of a building lol but for the most part they have it pretty close.

    • @AeroworksProductions
      @AeroworksProductions  Před 3 lety

      I sped the video up in my editing software but there should be a way to skew the flight. I know the F keys will make the aircraft climb in place and older versions allowed you to fast forward. Once I come across the setting, I’ll make sure to post.

    Let me tell you all something about this sim......it looks great in some places and looks like dogshit in others. I just took an ICON flight from Bergen to Olso, to follow their amazing train-line. It started off ok, then the scenery went to hell. These gigantic table-top looking rock formations started popping up (There should be little to NO pop on ultra-settings even with the correct scenery) and weird texture map splitting started to occur. I restarted the flight, but same thing. I'll try pre-cache, but that won't make a difference. Just tired of everyone blowing smoke up this sim's ass. It's good. Really good....but it needs a LOT of work. I have yet to find one CZcamsr dedicated to showing what needs to be done to make this a proper sim. I hear grumbles here and there, but seriously, this sim is not as great as everyone is making it out to be. Having said all of that, I can't wait to see what this thing looks like a year from now when it's all patched up. In the mean time, let the buyer beware.
