MSFS2020 is not just a flight sim. It is a virtual sightseeing tool often guided by local experts. What a time to live! Thanks for the guided tour of Anchorage.
Thanks for watching!
Very informative Adam.. loved the virtual tour and great narrative. Looking forward to future content. Thanks
Had the pleasure of visiting Alyeska during a cruise tour of Alaska - I think I can see the lodge from this video. Will have to revisit in the sim, for sure. What a lovely place.
Thanks for watching!
I appreciated this flight more because of your experience first hand in the real world. Please, show us more highlites!
Thanks Steve, been busy in the shop working on my airplane and haven’t done much sim flying lately. Time for a new video. Anything in particular you want to see? BTW my plane build is on the channel as well.
Great to see this and can't wait to get setup myself after an upgrade. Grew up in Wasilla flying with my old man all over the place in his t craft and later pacer in the 70s. Plan to re-trace routes. 90% sure of that lake in the Talkeenas where got that first caribou.
Pretty cool to see my city full scale in a game! Thanks for the video
Love it. Great opportunity to learn about Anchorage. I would love to see a tour-style video of Petersburg and Devils Thumb, if that is something you are interested in.
Very nice! That scenery is stunning. I live in Maine now but am from Homer, AK. My PC is about 10 years old so I don't see me getting FS2020 anytime soon but would love to see a flight around Homer.
The clouds are great in the game you can even move the cloud layers up and down by grabbing the tabs on the left in weather I have been playing this non stop since Tuesday. I’ll have to add anchorage to my list of destinations to check out
Inferno Nine Great tips!
Another good on is the active pause default is the pause break button it freezes the plane but everything else keeps going. So if your at a place you really want to look at use that and you can change wether and use different camera angle even use the showcase camera and drone and look all around the area
Hoping on going to that college out of there just got a tour of that place today it’s a pretty cool school.
! was a missionary in Alaska in college (1982) working with native children. I loved flying around the bush.. Ruby, Tanana, Galena. Our bush pilot was so suave (and older) he'd sleep half the time.. I WAS a bit nervous but he new the routes so well after a about a month of flying around it just made me giggle. Have you thought of doing a series of fly overs of some of the places in "Life Below Zero?" KAvik etc.. that'd be a fun series for people who follow the show .. thanks !
That was sweet! I am from Seward Alaska, and was stationed at Elmendorf flying C-130's. It really takes me home seeing this as I live in California now. I would like to see some footage of Seward if you can. I am getting ready to purchase a new gaming computer dedicated to this. Awesome video!
Darrell Dyer Awesome and thanks for your service.
I've flown into Anchorage many times. Why? When Russia was the Soviet Union it was the mid-point on the London to Tokyo route. We'd spend a couple or three hours there. I always wanted to take a weekend break in Anchorage but never did. Too busy, I suppose, I was in the music business. Subscribed. Best, Pete
Do you know how to turn on the point of interests pins ? Or do I need to reinstall
I grew up on Elmendorf. I went to the house I grew up in and the game turned it into a 3 story house with balconies and even tho the neighborhood is flat it made a big elevation difference and a gigantic staircase.
That exactly where I currently live.. Thank you for sharing.. Please show more of Southcentral Alaska and more..
Steven Gardner Sure will, anywhere specific you like to see or an aircraft type?
Yes.. I'd like to see some of Fairbanks with TBM and cessna plane around Wasilla Palmer And Sutton area where I grew up. I aslo with like to see Alexander Creek just past big susitna river where I got to visit.. That would be awesome to see..
I also would love to see Portage Glacier and Knik Glacier on a cessnes plane as well..
Good interesting video. If they could sort out those little stutters and those odd freezes would be great. I get the same . Scenic for sure
Adam this Sim is cool..I like it....I made a jump (skydive ) in Anchorage back in 1972.....18;000 ft ....de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter .19 of us jumped.
FYI whenever you change the weather or day/night there is an expected freeze while it has to reset the rolling cache is my guess. Happens to me too.
Back2BackLakers2010 Yes, someone else mentioned that too.
I'm from Anchorage Alaska also and I've noticed some things in the scenery that are aren't really too accurate, You will notice how you can't see the captain cook hotels and that building by town square is a hill with a building in it also if you look at the bridge that goes to government hill, it's inside of a building lol but for the most part they have it pretty close.
Never been to Alaska, but always thought it was beautiful. Would love to visit one day.
It’s definitely a beautiful place and one where you can be in a modern city then an hour later be standing in the middle of nowhere on a glacier.
Now you can in Flight Simulator 2020 problem solved !
F35 Raptors?!?! Nooo! F35 lightning. F22 raptor. I forgive you.
Whoops, thanks for catching that!
To not give the Russians any ideas.
Back in the 80s when I was stationed there we had F15s. Man I'm starting to feel old. Did my real life ground school there but never could afford actual air time. Always heard it said that if you could learn to fly in Alaska you could fly anywhere in the world.
well you learn something every day - I didn't believe when you said about how Anchorage was such a busy cargo hub. I was totally wrong. Nice. I'm assuming this is for a trans arctic flightpath?
I believe that freeze up which I too experienced is from new scenery and clouds loading after you leave clear skies. I have 32 gigs of ram and am considering 64..
It runs fine with 16gb, most of the performance problems can be fix with messing with computer optimizations.
Never watched one of these. Very well done.
David Winiger Well thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe if you haven’t as it helps the channel grow.
Aeroworks Productions I can recall the original Flight Simulator software for the pc. Hilarious sounds especially when you crashed. The green screen looked liked you crashed the monitor.
It always stutters and has issues when you change the weather for some reason happens to me as well
Very informative. Now I know when I fly here. :p
Problem with this MSFS Alaskan Trip, the time advances as you progess from landing site to site. I'm had to quite because Its 4.30 pm in the dark
where u on ice airport alaska you get alot of b747-8s at anchorage
I'd be interested in what you think of playing these flight sims in VR. I personally think VR adds a lot to the realism in these simulators.
JBER has f22s. Great video though! Keep up the good work
Yeah someone else caught that a few days ago. Sorry
@@AeroworksProductions it's all good. Just letting ya know!
Can you fly to sterling. That would be a great sight of the moos river and I’ve never seen sterling in Microsoft flight
Maybe in an upcoming video. Thanks for the recommendation.
@@AeroworksProductions thank you for thinking about that.
Pretty good graphics I need to check it out
can’t wait to GTA 6 for PC
I fly at least ones a month to PANC for FDX VA on VATSIM , great appr.
Nice, so you can confirm how busy of a cargo hub PANC is then.
Yes , it's a busy hub .
You are living in a beautiful part of the world even it was a ride through simulator.
How is the COVID-19 situation over there?
Have a great week and keep on flying
Billy's Flight Sim looks pretty good, but then again it always has been.
i wish they wouldve hand crafted in anchorage as it looks pretty dead. For PANC being one the busiest cargo hubs in the world, it wouldve been nice.
Actually we have f-22 raptors in Elmendorf afb
Yeah someone caught that the first day I posted the video. Got my numbers mixed up. Thanks for the catch!
How do you speed up your flights like that?
I sped the video up in my editing software but there should be a way to skew the flight. I know the F keys will make the aircraft climb in place and older versions allowed you to fast forward. Once I come across the setting, I’ll make sure to post.
I love Era airline
Ikponmwosa Ehigie Used to work there.
>touch down for landing
>20 knot taxi speed limit exceeded
It was a quick demo flight, not perfection, no need to thumbs down the video ....
@@AeroworksProductions Wasn't me! I thumbs up. I loved it, just laughing at a silly sim thing.
@@Slade366 Got it.
F-35 Raptor... its the F-22 just for reference
Yeah I was corrected on that already several times 😬. Thanks though.
So has anyone flown into Area 51 or North Korea yet?
Area 51 is on my list to do too.
the buildings are all wrong. anchorage isnt mapped to real life like many cities are.
F-35 Raptor. 🤢 Lol I know it was an oopsie. But ughhhhhh 🤣
Yeah already got heat for that one…..
THIS IS NOT A REview
The fps is REALLY bad. Please, fix it, otherwise, this is NOT pleasing to watch.
Looked fine to me!
i can see russia from there!
lefthandedpolack Well maybe not from Anchorage but from Nome you could.
Let me tell you all something about this sim......it looks great in some places and looks like dogshit in others. I just took an ICON flight from Bergen to Olso, to follow their amazing train-line. It started off ok, then the scenery went to hell. These gigantic table-top looking rock formations started popping up (There should be little to NO pop on ultra-settings even with the correct scenery) and weird texture map splitting started to occur. I restarted the flight, but same thing. I'll try pre-cache, but that won't make a difference. Just tired of everyone blowing smoke up this sim's ass. It's good. Really good....but it needs a LOT of work. I have yet to find one CZcamsr dedicated to showing what needs to be done to make this a proper sim. I hear grumbles here and there, but seriously, this sim is not as great as everyone is making it out to be. Having said all of that, I can't wait to see what this thing looks like a year from now when it's all patched up. In the mean time, let the buyer beware.
