A big HELLO from CYQT.
👍🇨🇦👍
GREAT video. BEAUTIFUL plane.
Canadian colours. 😊
Learned a lot about the Cardinal.
THANK YOU for sharing this ride with all of us.
Two thumbs up.👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Very comprehensive video and I appreciate your time in making it for us! Like several commenters, I'm an older "new" pilot and love the 177 birds (wifey isn't as interested in climbing on the wing as we get...uh.. more mature 😁).
Also: I have beard envy
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m a fresh co owner of LN-NAE 177 RG2. This was very educating and informative for me. As a fresh pilot 57yo with only 80 hours and 172 experience, I am a bit nervous about how I’ll handle this beauty.
Its a great plane, it just takes some practice to finesse the landings. Use your trim to assist on approach for greaser landings.
man, what a clean cardinal. you get to do a pre-flight in the hanger, too?! you are blessed.
Yes, very blessed, only took 52 years.
Never have flown a 177, but there is something about a 177 that has a aerodynamically cool sleek look! Maybe one day I will have a opportunity!!! Thanks for your video!!!
Thank you for watching, more videos coming soon.
Very informative. I learned a lot. Thanks👍🏻
Id sell my soul for a plane like this ❤
Beautiful 177 RG
Thank you
Well done. Thank you.
I love Cardinals. Nice video.
Just found channel, A fan of the Cardinal (first bird owned).. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!!
Welcome aboard!
Very nice and very easy with such a very competent Co-Pilot 😇
I agree.
Nice cardinal, nice and roomy
Very nice RG. Do you know what brand of instrument lighting you have? Looks great.
Nice video, excellent pre trip. Where did you pick up those shades, pilot? They look great.
Where did you get the nice checklists?

So, for every hour in the sky, you spend how many hours effing around on the ground? I guess that's the real appeal of the hobby--all the non-flying activities. It can't have anything to do with transportation efficiency, because with all the maintenance, procedural checklists, safety checks, etc., any car will beat a plane on a short-to-medium distance trip--at a tiny fraction of the cost of flying. Videos like this are helpful for non-pilots like me who are considering learning to fly because they show us what's really involved in hobby aviation. Thanks.
Did the cross feed vent line drain valves come with it or did you install them? My 1975 rg doesn’t have them
Factory lines.
The vent lines are factory, but the drains were not put in by Cessna. Must have been added along the way to this Cardinal.
Your landing gear is moving very slowly on retract and especially the main gear
Yep, we were actually testing something on this flight. The pump is currently being rebuilt back to factory standards.
Who did the panel upgrade?
The panel was like this when I purchased it. We do plan on some upgrades of our own in the future though. Stay tuned.
