@@awasebjesse5560 He was used as a make shift LB in a back 5 formation. Saka is intelligent, and very flexible to play there, even as a left winger he was very industrious, however he flourished as one of the best RW in the world due to his ability to hold up play, and cut inside attacking spaces, a dragging defenders in the process.
Balogun is the reason Arsenal should not spend money on another striker. It seems people have forgotten him.

Very true, he is very quick, and has a good shot with the two legs, but very bad in positioning to play a left back in a flat 4 defence. Arsenal should ignore Muydryk, and use Tavarez as a winger next year.

I don't get why everyone's so excited about Balogun; I understand he's had great numbers on loan but aside from penalties most of his goals wouldn't have gone in in the Premier league, there was one maybe two good ones

We need to loan Bierith, Moller, patino and Balogun to premiere league teams may be the teams that are between 14-20th position.
Infact I believe Balogun has a much higher ceiling than Nketiah.
We have given enough chances to Nketiah for the aps 3seasons but he doesn't seem to grabbing the opportunity or he is not at a good enough level for arsenal.
Next season we should give Balogun the same opportunity as that of Eddie and send Eddie on loan to a PL club and decide between Balogun and Eddie after that
Eddie got a chance at the end of last season and scored goals… he’s got a chance the past few games and he’s scoring goals again. He’s a goal scorer and he’s doing his job. Balogun looks good too, why not keep both, young, talented and scoring goals.

Infact he has missed on scoring many clear cut goal scoring opportunities.
So yes you can be an Eddie fan boy but he isn't at the level Arsenal need.
I give credit to him for the work rate though. But that is not enough of we want to compete for trophies.

As I clearly explained just being in the box and scoring goals doesn't make anyone a good striker these days.
Why do you think Auba stopped scoring goals in the last 18months at Arsenal? Coz defenders understood to mark him closely and not allow space to run into. To beat that he had to work on close control, ball control with back to the goal and dribble past in 1v1 situations and he did not want to that in his 30s and got kicked out.
Similarly if defenders stop giving Eddie more space he doesn't have the technical ability to turn and burst into space or unlock a pass or show strength and hold the ball for other to make runs.
All the above avergae strikers in the last 10years have done that.
I don't see Eddie doing that in these 2years.
And coming to scoring goals, is he good in the air? NO. I have seen him even miss sitters with an open goal last season.
