It makes complete sense. Ramsdale isn't good enough for Europe. He struggles to save pens, and that's gonna be a serious problem in the UCL/UEL.

Confidence is the biggest thing for goalkeepers; if you have 2 going for the first position in just rarely works.
@@arsenemeansarsenal8642 It always annoys 1 of the keepers and unsettles the squad when you have 2, Chelsea done it with Courtois and Cech that lead to Cech being sold, Kepa and Mendy with Mendy being sold, United with De Gea and Henderson with Henderson being sold, it's not innovation its a generally well known problem where teams that do it normally only do it for a transition year before selling one of the keepers.

David Raya is world class and is only a matter of time before the world sees it. If he were to sign at Arsenal , he would earn his place as no.1 over time sooner rather than later

For those saying it doesn’t make sense and need upgrades elsewhere. Since we sold Turner and have ambitions for trophies this year 2 sensational keepers are just what the doctor ordered. And technically a loan so no obligation to buy him in the summer? Perfect. Although I would like another winger and a proper striker but both of those can be found in our team.
It’s good for competition. I’d be surprised if both of them are there in two years though.

Go look at Matt Turner's penalty record, it's one of the best in the world. Ramsdale keeps making mistakes he’s no good with the ball at his feet when under pressure and he ends up blasting the ball out for a throw in every time, he makes rash decisions that end up biting us in the arse.

Giving titles of best in the league or one of the best just because of good form or team playing well is all it is. The best don’t need labels consistency dictates who’s the best. Always has.
Well remember that Arsenal tried to buy Raya the year they got promoted but they said no so they went for Ramsdale.
Ramsdale literally has a mistake in him every game. He has personality but he is not a reliable keeper. Arsenal have money somehow, so why not get a better keeper?

Theo said they’re in all the competitions. Like they were last year too but sacked them all off the focus on the league which they still bottled. Arsenal aren’t going to win the league. They’ve peaked and they don’t have the mentality to go on and win things
not saying Arsenal will do anything crazy next season, but to say they've peaked and that Arsenal won't do anything over the next 5-10 years is ridiculous. They will at least be relevant in the top 4 for 5-10 years and can challenge for the league/champions league. Last year they bottled the league, but were still the youngest squad in the league as well as faced certain key players getting injured. They've added substantial depth to cover for key player injuries now and their youth in saka, saliba, odegaard, martinelli, emile smith rowe and potentially Balogun will all develop significantly over the next 5-10 years.
We haven’t peaked if last season we had a very young and inexperienced squad who’s never been in a title race and only one player was in their prime
This season we have upgraded our flaws from last season and all our young players are more experienced and have gotten far better in terms of skill

@@rossneil4413 He was, Neuer and Buffon at 25 weren’t seen as top keepers but instead as average and Ramsdale at 25 is seen as a top keeper but when Neuer and Buffon reached 30 they were unstoppable so considering the quality of Ramsdale now there is a chance he can easily reach that level
