    I am from Azerbaijan (historically shia muslim country), and this discrimination against muslims and hijabi women is even relevant here. Can you imagine? I always remember the narration: "Islam began as strange, and it is going to end as strange, glad tidings to the strangers".

    Women in Europe are being oppressed. A case in point is in a sport tournament recently somewhere in Europe, Norwegian women handball players refused to wear bikini panties forced on them by the European Handball Federation (EHF). Instead they opted to wear short pants. Disgustingly they, the team, were fined by the EHF for more than 1,000 Euros. This is a clear example of the oppression of women in Europe.

    Brother Saajid, don't pay people like this ANY heed. They have this distorted view on things. You're time is more valuable than this
    Here's my response to the woman should wear what they want argument. Yeah they can, but it's more beneficial and even safe (given alarming assault statistics) to conceal. It's like when u drive a car. Why do you put on the seatbelt?
    To protect yourself.
    You don't rebel it and pronounce"Oh, no. I'm not going to let a device restrain me. aaaaggghh." like everyone nowadays. You put it on to protect you in the event of a car accident. The hijab is the same.
    Now people profess "Oh no I have the liberty to present myself however I like" ... Well, how's that working out for you?
    You got alarming sexual assault stastics and rampant cheating.
    There is a natural attraction that exists around male and female and certain measures should be put in place to not invoke someone's lust.
    Lastly, the reason I think people respond so "passionately" to the Islamic stance on hijab because they've been SO accustomed to a society which promotes promiscuity and people presenting themselves in revealing ways. On the TV, on the ads, in the movies. It's literally everywhere
    So when they are presented with the divine solution with regards to how we should present ourselves, they become paralyzed and immensely shocked. This leds to them responding in a ignorant manner

      I, personally, think that we should be very open and honest about why women wear hijab in Islam. The truth is because it is a commandment from Allah the Most High. Yes, there are reasons behind it but ultimately we should wear hijab because we are Muslims and Allah says submit and we obey. Of course to most non believers this comes across harsh and unyielding but you know what? These people don't know who Allah is, they do not have the correct concept of Allah in their minds, they have some weird Christian man God twisted idea and unfortunately do not know who Allah actually is. That He is our Master and Creator and we have no rights unless He Himself deems to give us them. People don't like that. The truth hurts and they can't handle it. When people ask me why I wear hijab that's how I reply. I just say it's a command from God and I want to please Him so I wear it. End of discussion. Using the other reasons is like opening a can of worms. How can you argue against obeying a command from God? You can't.

      That's how Muslims need to start their speach, by praising Allaah. It is;
      Bismillaah (in the name of Allaah), walhamdulillaah (and All Praise is Due to Allaah), wa salaatu wa salaamu 'alaa rasoolillaah (may peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allaah).

    That foolish guy who wanted you to go to Saudi should first leave U S to somewhere in Europe, because Americas, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. don't belong to white European colonisers, but Native Americans, Incas, indian tribes, Aborigines, Africans etc. He should remember, they are still suppressed and exploited in their own lands and forced to live a life of second class citizens by their white masters. I know the vast majority of today's white citizens of America, Canada, Latin America etc are very nice people, but their ruling class is entirely different most of the times.

    This argument of its a free choice and Islam oppresses females is so bizarre. I mean if we’re really going to talk about oppression let’s talk about all how much this culture has made sex a commodity. Females are encouraged to start only fans, do pornography and prostitution so that the man at the top of these organization can make all the profit off them. Not only that let’s talk about how society has created unrealistic beauty standards that many girls are struggling to keep up with. All of this leading to crazy amount of mental health disorders mainly including anxiety depression and body dysmorphia. I mean is this not oppression? How I see it is being a slave to societal standards being no sense of freedom whereas being a slave to Allah brings all the freedom in the world

    • @TheBarser
      @TheBarser Pƙed 2 lety

      Slave to allah? Well you said it. You never tried the other side of the coin I guess, so how would you know? While it is true that muslim women dont have to deal with many of the hard choices in life as free woman, I dont think it is preferable to be a slave than free. I am pretty sure most women that doesnt have to deal with stockholm syndrome would prefer to be able to choose themself how to live there life.

      @@TheBarser When you say ‘most’ it means your talking for most of of the world. Honestly it’s quite contradictory because a lot of western females who have been continuously exposed to the environment of being enslaved to socirty or their own desires actually look out and seek guidance with some actually reverting to Islam. I could also make the argument that most women then haven’t experienced Islam fully and can’t out rightly make a judgement as to which lifestyle is better. My point is regardless of what we think the stats speak for itself the increase of body dysmorphia, super high beauty standards has led a lot of females into so much mental health issues and depression. It’s quite sad cause everywhere you go all you see is nudity being blasted everywhere and the girls being presented are completely photoshopped and edited and psychologically this can have a huge traumatic experience on females.

      @@MG-kt1nv your are right about the pressure on beauty standards especially in America has issues, but I take it you have also seen that societies true to deal with this. The solution is not Islam. I mean if women really want to have there life restricted by being forced by there men on what to wear then alright. As long as it is freely chosen by a grown up woman. Indoctrination kids into these roles is just cruel imo.

      @@TheBarser I’m not sure where your getting this ‘life restriction’ in fact many of them actually see it as freedom in the sense that they not enslaved to beauty standards and society. I think your taking the statistics to be very light and something that can just be reversible. It’s biologically engineered in men to perceive and judge a female on how they look. I actually encourage you to look more into Islam before making baseless accusation that you get from Fox News

    In all that conversation and discussion there is never a valid argument WHY women are regarded less than men in Islam. I am sure you would say that they are not but they don't have the same rights and choices as men, they are not equal. So essentially it is a religion for men (as all religions by the way) and women just have to abide. And that is why feminism is needed.
