I’m crying thinking of this. I’ve never really written this down before so I’m not sure if it will make sense but I’ll try to share it because I think it’s a common experience. I’m a revert who in my youth was suffering a lot from family problems and an eating disorder, feeling alone, and I got in with a crowd of people who made me think that following some of my sexual desires and embracing an LGBT identity (being purposely vague to keep this modest/appropriate) would be the gateway to happiness and acceptance. But it never was. No matter how many people I came out to who were accepting, no matter how many LGBTQ events I went to, how many hugs I received, how much supposed love and acceptance I was part of, I was never happy or fulfilled. I can’t overstate how strongly and explicitly I was given the message that embracing who “I truly was” and “coming to terms with my sexuality” would finally free me from unhappiness, that following “heteronormative oppressive values” is what was holding me down in life.
The LGBT agenda preys heavily on vulnerable young people who are missing community, identity, and purpose. Young people are drawn into thinking following a way of life embracing their sexual desires or changing their gender identity is the way to solve the gaping holes in their life, rather than Allah.
That is why it makes me very sad to see how the young Muslim community is now targeted by messages like this from people like Ilhan.

We simply need to remember that Allah is truly the best of planners, "they plan and Allah plans and Allah is thee best of planners" so chin up, you have clarity of both sides Alhamdulillah, that's a lot more than the many who are sadly still blind on both sides.
This news makes me sick, definitely sad and fearful of the future, however as long as we educate, stand out ground, fear Allah and never fear man... well will be fine no matter how tough it might get.

A friend of mine who is a Muslim btw or she calls herself a Muslim, came out to us. We were surprised like how could this happen. When I asked her what happened to her she said she was lonely and she watches a lot of videos about these things that increased her inclination towards the LGBT community. This is what is happening to our generation because we are teaching them that there is nothing wrong with that or that we should just stay away from them. No, we have to promote our ideology for people to know what is wrong and what is not.

If you push for reformation or try to change Islam so that it supports liberal ideals, you're basically saying that your religion is just some idea that came from 6th century Arab as starting point and that it can be modified and edited to fit better with what "we understand about the world now" as the liberal puts it.

@@absolutelynobody3837 Ameen and Barakallah Fik, I feel really sad for my fellow Muslim sisters. Being raised in the west is a huge trial. You don’t even have the wear withal to recognize how flawed your thinking is. I think one of the bigger issues is Muslims following cultural practices over Islam and as a result not giving women their rights. This creates a situation in which Muslim women conflate the two issues on a subconscious level and then feel like they need to find a solution outside of Islam to resolve their problems. It’s a nuanced issue for sure. It’s also problematic that the masses don’t tend to seriously delve into these ideologies they just trust the surface level message given to them. The only solution is genuinely seeking out Allah and putting aside your ego. I remember I used to compartmentalize Islam and these modern liberal views (I didn’t even care about politics, but it’s virtually impossible to live in today’s society without pondering these issues). I was for sure experiencing cognitive dissonance. It’s only in asking to be guided that I found any clarity SubhanAllah. Please make dua for my older sister though. She is very sympathetic towards the lgbtq community and not practicing. Right now we’re living here without our parents and I’m so worried about how seriously she takes the deen. She doesn’t like it when I bring up prayer anymore so I’m trying not to push her. I know Allah guides whom he wills, but I’m hoping more dua will help Insha’Allah. Sorry this turned into a personal issue. May Allah grant you ease in this life and the next. 💗

I said it once and ill say it again. As a young muslim women myself SHE DOES NOT REPRESENT US MUSLIMAS. We fear Allah when it comes to things he made clear cut forbidden. ESPECIALLY in public. Neither do those TIKTOK sheikhas with glotter filters, makeup and no hijab speaking on "deen" represent us either. Im getting sick and tired man. Wallah. We all sin, but when you start justifying it and on top of that DOING IT IN PUBLIC meaning others are influenced and sin from it. Thats a problem, man. In this life AND the next.

Salaam Alaykum Sister, Wallahi I hear you. We need to try make the changes in ourselves and show others how to live and hope a worldwide effort of that has a positive influence, may Allah help us all unite and drown out this fitnah and guilt trips of allowing wrong to become right and praise it, Astafighrullah!

But what do they care?? They already have this pre-conceived notion that no one can judge them but Allaah, a classic modernist cancer of a mentality, so basically whatever anyone's going to say doesn't really matter, and "we don't know what's in their heart", like, bruhh my blood pressure literally goes through the roof upon hearing such rubbish.
It all boils down to how much they actually value their imaan, and whether they're just in it for fame. And so when Islam would suit them, they would rally behind it, and when they judge it to be counter-productive (for lack of a better word), they'll waste no time in putting their "logic" "intellect" and "ego" above the revelation.
May Allaah protect us from every form of misguidance & falsehood, whether openly or in privately.

Oh people fear Allah don't speak about the Deen of Allah with no knowledge . Stick to the Qur'an and sunnah in understanding of companions . May Allah guide us all to the straight path

Just ask this "daeea": who the oppressed was, Lut peace be upon him or his "God made them this way" type of people? I see the guy makes strowman fallacy out of "go and beat them up" and I strongly agree with Sajid that if we want good for homosexuals and other groups, and we do, then we have to call them to Islam in a good manner and sound argument without reconciling our religion with modernist views.

I think the misunderstanding stems from the legislation being called the Equality Bill; people automatically think it is something harmless that actually stops oppression, when it doesn't. The issue here is just education on the law itself.

Important questions for Ilhan Omar & her supporters/followers.
    1. Is it possible to remain Muslim while lobbying for & legislating for what Allah has explicitly forbidden in the Quran?
    2. Is it possible to remain Muslim while actively supporting the lobbying for & legislating for what Allah has explicitly forbidden in the Quran?
