    I became Muslim before #YusufEstes I was also in my early 20s. Got married after practising for a while and learned the basics. Marriage is work and commitment. Think about ur future children and choose a good spouse even if he's not rich or very handsome but you like him 😊 Pray 'stikhara' b4 u make up ur mind about a person. Even if ppl get divorced some time later it's not a sin. You should still behave decently especially for ur children's well being.

    To be honest, I saw some of brothers who got married at their 19th and some neighbor girl who got married at 18 and their marriage failed. Now I realized that these marriages could've easily been successful if both sides were in ome page when it comes to deen, but still it drove me back from thoughts of marriage. There is definitely other factors as well, and I personally know brothers who at the same circumstances kept their marriage. But in the end, not understanding our religion well made me forgot about this for now.
    I'm 23 now and Insha Allah I'll do my masters, but if I can find a muslimah who has strong emaan and knowledge of her deen I'm ready to step into real adulthood.
    And may Allah reward you for your efforts to call us to the good.

      Allah may take care of you, but Muslims today aren't like before. "The Game" has infiltrated our ranks, and now, Muslimahs want the same traits in men disbelieving women want, and Muslims want in women what is idealized in women through media. Hypothetical example: I don't want to raise someone else's kids, and I don't expect a Muslimah to want a man that is inexperienced with women.

    salamu alaikum akhi, I found this talk very beneficial and filled with haqq.i married my wife knowing she wasn't religious ie didn't pray often or fast the full month of Ramadan excetra.I didn't care much because I wasn't fully devoted to my Deen either meaning holding down my five pillars.now I'm 30 she's 25 and we have been married for 3 years of i have alhumdulillah become devoted to my Deen and bettering myself and now she doesn't pray at all subhan Allah and didn't fast one day in the month of Ramadan.Now I feel so separated from her and it saddens me that I didn't marry for her Deen as prescribed by our prophet saw.

      Akhi if it has been that long then I think it's best that you move on. Any longer can put your Deen at risk !! If you really have been giving her naseeha from the beginning till now, and she still doesn't PRAY (Pillar of ISLAM btw...) then Wallahi you can do so much better.

May Allah swt help you achieve your goal!

    Sheikh we have a lot of communities in America that get married very young. Unfortunately the track-record is very poor. Very common to find teenage divorcees and people going through a number of marriages by their early and mid 20's. Often times this creates a lot of turmoil and particularly the young women rebel against the deen at this point thinking it is the only means to a stable life. The flipside of course is those waiting until they're much older, but the reality is for most of those who grew up here they'll be dating in that time period and their parents will have minimal influence on them. Those with stronger parental influence are those you'll most often see married in their 20's.

      Umar Lee Big problem is the lack of real commitment and they have to work harder on the marriage instead of fighting. We had sisters and brothers literally punching each other in their car outside the masjid on Eid! That was a smaller masjid in Montreal 25 yrs ago. Ppl maybe need to leave behind their Jahiliyah ways b4 marriage is even considered?

    • @JetBlackAir
      @JetBlackAir Před 5 lety +8

      We would have to raise our children from very young ages to expect to be married while young in order for this to work. As is, we raise OUR sons and OUR daughters, forgetting we're raising someone else's wife or husband, leaving them unfit to marry at any age. Because if this phenomena, and the encroachment of western materialism and feminism into the Muslim community, I had to tell my son to prepare for the eventuality of never marrying, as nowadays we imitate all the negative traits of non-Muslims and feminism has gone haywire. But if he does marry, he must tell his kids at a young age to be responsible enough to marry, or they'll fail and divorce no matter what age they marry.

    • @rabinasiddique1783
      @rabinasiddique1783 Před 3 lety +2

      Assalamu alaykum I personally think it has to come from parental guidance, sadly parents are failing to teach their children in many factors, talking to the children whilst growing up is a must and I really feel society has an affect but the home life has to be firm, consistent and no compromising of the Deen. Many parents safeguard children upto a certain age and then let them go at teenage years, these years they need the parental control the most. Relationship development is so important. Parents really need to fear Allah and stop blaming society. Actually what these kids are doing under the parents roof is unbelievable. Contradiction of the Deen from the parents is a big factor and is confusing our youth. We are following the non Muslim in so many factors. May Allah guide us all. Aameen.

    Haq upon Haq upon Haq akhi. If only those born into Islam could see it the way most converts do.... There is no harm in men and women marrying in college even if they can't afford to move out together. Just like non Muslims have girl friends and boy friends who visit each other's houses every weekend or whatever... Why can't Muslims do the same by marrying each other? Why such taboo? inshaAllah we need to not repeat the mistakes of our parents with our children. Excellent video mashaAllah.

    the marriage that is islamic nikkah gives honour to spouses for graceful relationship. you cant just do something bad and be at the back or quit without treating somebody in the most humane way. Nikkah even allows a women and man to have relationship while they can progress in their career and help and support one another with love. Brother i totally agree with all problems of society but their should be more awareness platforms, people even the muslims do not thoroughly understand the eases they are blessed with bcoz they donot study Quran

      Assalam Alaykoum brother, well spoken, when it comes to polygamy in USA, the brothers are using Islam to used and manipulate the sisters, they barely have enough to take care themselves, most of them have this records that the wife have to be dealing with for the rest of her life, the brother needs to work for about 12 hours a day, no time to even give the wife her Intimacy right, sometimes 1 time a week or 2 weeks, Howe in the world Islam can Allow that brother to have more than one wife? When the first wife don't have 10% of her right, they need to lower their gaze , man have they answer from Allah, they cheating because they want to have different women all the time, I know Muslims with 3,4 wives and still cheat, remember when some man use to have 40 wives before Islam, they can't satisfy all those 2,3or 4 wives, not in USA, sisters will never forgave them for not providing all their rights

      @@GNALENKonate72 That's right, So I suggest brothers save up their money for a year or two and move to a country like Egypt where the dollar goes a lot farther and make a business so they can have enough money to do what they want and afford to give the rights to their wives.

    As a 16 old living in Saudi Arabia, I can tell you that this extends problem far beyond the US. Now of course Saudi Arabia has laws and a society that go by Islamic rules that facilitates the life it dictates for Muslims, but through the west's shows and anime and manga from japan, we get exposed to this the life style you mentioned. I can only speak for myself but the result is utter hatred for the religion, from the heart, and how conservative it is. It's like I have missed out on a far more rich, fulfilling (to some extent), interesting, fun (to a good extent) and dynamic life because of the society the religion has brought about. All the while not truly finding religion as false so as a result being further in pain for hating on it.
