    This is interesting to hear especially from Yasir Qadhi. If Yajuj Majuj is just a tale then where do we draw the line at what was a tale and what was real in the lives of the Prophets peace on them all? I mean forget Yajuj Majuj we believe in angels lol. Beings of light, that don't eat it drink that have wings and can travel through space and can be large enough to lift entire towns and cities and destroy them. I mean that sounds pretty fantastical. But we believe in them. And the Quran speaks about them. So where do we draw the line at what is real and a tale? Allah can create anything so why is it more unbelievable to think that Yajuj and Majuj is real than angels? I'm frankly surprised that Qadhi has this mindset.

    • @aishaarshadalam3412
      @aishaarshadalam3412 Před 4 lety +7

      @Tom Edwards Actually that verse is very hard to read translates from the Arabic. When it talks about "it" preceding from between the loins and backbone its talking about the actual baby not the sperm. The area where the womb is and where a baby grows is between the loins and the backbone. And God doesn't put people in hell for not believing in Him without them knowing anything about Him in the first place. If you live this life and don't know about God or His message you don't automatically get sent to hell when you die. Everyone is given an individual test, if you aren't tested in this life you'll be tested on Judgement Day. Authentic hadith confirms that and the Quran also states that God does not throw people into hell unjustly and without them knowing anything. Not to mention anyone who has an atoms weight of belief in God will go to heaven and God made humans with the fitrah (in Islam that's the innate belief in God from the moment we were created) so eventually everyone will end up in heaven. Obviously some people will go to hell and be punished first for the sins they did in this life. It wouldn't be fair for God to send Pharaoh (the one who enslaves the Jews and who Moses pbuh went up against) into heaven and not punish him along with a pious person who spent their whole life worshipping God and doing good to earn His reward. And look you don't want to believe in metaphysical realities and ideas that's fine, don't. But let's not be patronising and make out that you know for absolute certainty that it doesn't exist, because you don't. Really your position should be well I don't know, you believe it but I'm not convinced. And that's fine with us. I'm not hurting you by believing in God and tbh it's none of your business anyways if I do believe in Him. I mean I don't really care that you don't believe in Him, I don't have a burning need to change your mind and show you the light lol.

      @Ubaydah. Před 4 lety +23

      Aisha Arshad Alam sister, please be careful with such statements like "eventually everyone will enter heaven" Allah has mentioned several times in Quran pertaining to the eternal (meaning forever) damnation of some to hell who are deserving of it, mentioned in Surah Yunus, Fussilat and Qaaf to mention a few, and Allah is Al 'Adl (Utterly Just). Barakallahu feekum

      @@Ubaydah. Yes this is true but there is plenty of discussion amongst classical scholars about this, for instance the fitrah is a part of every human and that innate sense of belief in God is a part of us. Of course it is completely in Allah's Hands who will go to hell and heaven and if it will be eternal or not. I accept your comment and take the advice you have given. May Allah forgive me if I said anything wrong, it was from my own self and truly Allah is completely perfect and All Knowing. Jazakallah khair :)

I can only assume that Dhul Quarnayn, yajooj/majooj and the wall are not real/literal, rather metaphor..Maybe this metaphor is not apparent to us right now, as we are not in that age yet.
      Why i think it's metaphor is that if it was real, yajooj/majooj wouldn't waste time trying to bore through it, just to have Allah(swt) seal it up again?. It would be more logical to just go around or over it.. Allahu Aalim though!. I had defended Yasir Qadhi vehemently on your video about his podcast few months ago.
    Watching the video in question made me flinch and filled with rage and I couldn't stomach it.
    Indeed he crossed all the bounds and is now actively misleading the youth.
    He kept contradicting himself when he said he wouldn't dismiss anyone believing the classical interpretation and then actually went on ridiculing and insulting not only the believers of that hadith but the early scholarship. And then he didn't even present his opinion and he showed such treachery by mentioning his friend's opinion as laughable yet believing in it himself. And when everyone laughed he said laugh at my friend and not me. And he kept rejecting any ideas put forward by the audience that would relate back to the classical interpretation yet he would find his friend's interpretation plausible.
    Unfortunately I will have to distance myself from Yasir Qadhi and not watch him anymore. Although being critical of brother Saajid in the earlier video I didn't unsubscribe because he didn't say anything against Quran and Sunnah but Yasir Qadhi has went too far and unless he publicly apologizes and reverts to the correct opinion, I consider him a threat.

    Once Umar bin al-Khattab radiAllāhu anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) was walking in the market, he passed by a man who was supplicating,
    “O Allāh, make us of Your ‘few’ servants! O Allāh make us of Your ‘few’ servants!”
    So ‘Umar said to him, “Where did you get this du`a’ (supplication) from?” And the man said, “Allāh in His Book says ‘And few of My servants are grateful.’(Qur’an 34:13)”
    So ‘Umar wept and admonished himself, “The people are more knowledgeable than you, O Umar! O Allāh make us of Your ‘few’ servants.”
    Sometimes when you advise someone to leave a sin, they respond with “But most people do it, it’s not just me!”
    But if you look for the words “most people” in the Qur’an, you will find that,
    most people “do not know” (7:187),
    “do not give thanks” (2:243)
    and “do not believe” (11:17).
    And if you look for “most of them”, you will find that,
    most of them are “defiantly disobedient” (5:59),
    “ignorant” (6:111),
    “turning away” (21:24),
    “do not reason” (29:23),
    and “do not listen” (8:21).
    So be of the “few”, whom Allāh says about them:
    “And few of My servants are grateful.” (34:13)
    “But none had believed with him, except a few.” (11:40)
    “In the Gardens of Pleasure, A [large] company of the former peoples, And a few of the later peoples.” (56:12-14)
    Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullāh) said, “Go on the path of truth and do not feel lonely because there are few who take that path, and beware of the path of falsehood and do not be deceived by the greatness of the perishers.”

For someone who just suggested not to use logic when approaching Islam to then say "research what you are studying about" is the single most dumbest thing I ever heard. • @EpikMunk
      @EpikMunk Před 4 lety

      @Fragment Traveler - this is where you messed up, Islam invites believers and non believers to "think", "reflect" "ponder" and "reason" (reason is based on logic) by using these things we come to the conclusion that Allah SWT is our creator, He sent the Qur'an and the messenger and we understand the things that were revealed to us by using these faculties. When miraculous events take place, we understand that they are miraculous and supernatural because we use our reasoning and logic to see that it is by the power of Allah SWT that that's things happen since He is the creator of all things. The fact that scholars used reason and logic to authenticate a hadith should tell you how crucial it is. It is something Allah SWT has even told us to use.
      Look back at your example of the Jews, if you tried to understand it, you'll find it was the jews being illogical not logical since they were a god believing people who had previous experience with prophets to whom another prophet was sent and found He was born miraculously, even spoke to them as a baby and performed countless miracles amongst other things. If they did what Allah swt tells us to do which is think and ponder, they would have realised that this person was not a normal person and was actually sent by Allah swt.

      Didn’t Spain do that to most of south and North America? Islam was brought to many lands without fighting. The purpose in which to make the law of the Creator prevail. And to warn its inhabitants from worshipping and joining partners in worship with The Creator of the heavens and the earth. Slavery did exist as it did with every other nation at the time. However the prophet pbuh was sent with rulings to eradicate slavery, honor and respect women and the weak. Which is why Slaves, women and coloreds were the first to embrace Islam. Pow’s also accepted Islam after the kind treatment from there own captors

      Is that what your mommy taught you about Islam?
      If Muhammad came to abolish slavery and help women why didn’t he ever free his own slave Bilal? Muhammad could have released Bilal while he was dying.. but didn’t.
      Islam is for women? Why did Aisha say that of all women she ever saw, Muslim women were treated the worst?
      Islam is no different than every other man made religion that takes the idea of a Righteous creator Most High God, and twists it with a religion based around earthly gain.
      Land. Spoils of war. Slave women. And dying “honorably in a war for your “god”.

    Brother Saajid, I would like to applaud you for coming out to point out what you believe to be wrong in what Dr Qadhi mentioned. I know well that you can be attacked for that. But this is our DUTY! When anyone says something publically, that we believe to be against the teachings of Islam, then there is a duty upon us to point out what's wrong also publically. And to those who say: who are you to refute or criticise a 'scholar': scholars do not have 'sanctity' in Islam! We do not worship them! We weigh what anyone (whomsoever) says or does against the Haq that we have received from God. Umar Ibn Al-Khattab himself (may Allah be pleased with him), who was known to be Al-Farouq (the one who had the ability to distinguish between right and falsehood), when he was appointed the Caliph (so we're talking here about not only a scholar but also a companion and a Caliph!), he asked his people: what would you do if I ever happen to stray from the straight path like this (pointing with his hand)? A man from the crowd came out and took out his sword saying: we shall 'fix you up' with this! Then Umar said: Alhamdulillaah (thanks/praises to Allah) for making in my people those who will correct me when I go astray! So please do not worry about these misinformed calls for you to not talk about what you see as munkar under the banners of 'unity' or 'avoiding fitnah'! These people really don't know what they're talking about! If you and others stay silent many people will be misled by falsehood and we shall all carry the burden of that on the Day of Judgement.

    The truth is, western/secular academia presents popular (scientific) theories, as undisputed fact. But that isn't the case at all. At BEST, 'we' have popular working models; supported by research and evidence. But they are often subject to change, as soon as new research and new evidences comes out. There's a lot of ego and also politics in science. Some scientists just want to make a name for themselves, and sometimes scientific research/announcements/dogma is influenced by rich and powerful people who want to influence public opinion in specific ways

    • @omarfutbol6320

      @Vietnam California, yeah? To begin with, we have to keep in mind that before the quran was revealed their were other books such as the torah, injil, and zabur that were revealed to the past prophets and if the quran or in this case the hadith says it just comes to show that it was just confirming it. Like an example many before claimed that surat al kahf(surah 18) plagiarized the syriac text when it came to gog and magog but later came out the Syriac text came after the quran and even referenced it and as for Dajjal the Quran doesn't name him however the hadith talks about him and the prophet (pbuh) talked about him more in depth and taught us something about him that no other prophet before him since the time of noah even said about him. As for hadith and the chains of narrations we also have to take into account that their is a grading for each hadith from sahih to maudua and scholars such as an nawawi, bukhari, muslim, malik, ahmed (may allah have mercy on their souls) just to name a few were the ones to do that grading and if a hadith contradicts what the qurab says than it is weak and not acceptable but the ones that are sahih are taken as trustworthy but even then some scholars have disagree with them and take closer look at it and an example of that is imam albani in which he regraded some hadith that had a broken isnad and texts. Plus the Mahdi was never mebtuoned in the talmud because only the prophet(pbuh) talked and explained about him first and also he(the mahdi) comes from the prophet's lineage. We juat cannot simply reject hadith and take the quran only because if that were the case then we wouldn't know how to pray and how much to pray regarding rakaat. Plus the talmud was first translated in arabic 2012 and the prophet wouldn't just hear some parts of the talmud and put it in the Quran a long period after he heard it(more info in the vid below which refutes a dude using the same arguement). Plus also we have tafsirs like for example the tafsir of ibn kathir, al qurtubi, and al jalalayn to name a few. Anyways bruh I hope this explains the point and in the end of the day I don't really want to have dispute between me and a bro of faith because it is just no right but just correct what is needes to be corrected✌
