I am an Armenian born in Iran Teheran in 1971 and I moved to Los Angeles when I was 12 years old. I respect and love this Rabbi because back home when I was kid till I moved to America, we had a older Jewish couple as our next door neighbor and for me they were Grandparents that I never had from my mothers side, and as a 7 years old till 12 till we moved out of the country I use to come home from school and they will take care of me till my parents will get home from work, and they were real Jewish people with the same ideology as this rabbi. The zionists have really caused a lot of pain and suffering for the real jewish people.

We have been immensely proud of the accomplishments of the local and the immigrant Jews, several generations of my own family, who have built the state of Israel, with blood and sweat. Since the establishment of the state of Israel, all of us, residing everywhere in the world, are feeling more secure, because we have a national homeland.
I am allegedly of a certain lineage, a Holocaust historian, and basically a pretty nice guy. After a hassle, I moved away from the university after having a few ribs broke by an attacker in the dark--etc., etc. Moved in with a nice older Jewish couple and rented from them. They were adamant that they had nothing to do with at least part of the system here. I think it behooves everyone in the long run to focus upon acceptable actual behavior and not group identity. Bad guys use race and group identity to hide behind and rationalize the unpardonable; just like bullies use group dynamics (contagion) to commit wrongful acts: the inexcusable.

Thank you Rabbi Shapiro for clarifying this subject! After more than a century's worth of propaganda it is impossible to make any sense of it without looking into the root of the matter. Rabbi Shapiro does it brilliantly. Read his book "The Empty Wagon" for further details.
I just ordered Rabbi Shapiro’s book-empty wagon. I’ve been listening to Rabbi Shapiro’s talks as I’ve been able to find them. I’ve also been relooking at many of the names mentioned in helping bring about the return to Israel. So many eye opening things. I keep returning to the Old Testament to read. The old is in the new and new in the old.

I am about two weeks learning the history of Zionism and some deeper background on Palestine with my own background in history and civilisations in a broader view.
This is real facts don't care about your feelings brutal truth. I listened to Imam's and Orthodox Rabi, even secular scholars, say the exact same things regarding historical facts and added so much from their religious perspectives. I understand much better now. I think there is issues now in these times where Jews in general may be perceived negatively by some people for the actions of Zionists.
I certainly can understand why they would not choose Canaanjites for marketing purposes.

I have listened to some of the top scholars in the world on this subject. Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, ilan Pape, Gabor Mate etc. But Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro brings so much more to the table. He brings clarity to an issue which has puzzled millions of jews and gentile alike, for many years. A brilliant man with an equally brilliant mind.

I’m an atheist (a Marxist) but I can say that the world would be a better place with more Rabbi Shapiro and less Ben Shapiro.
(I would have liked to hear his opinion on the different strands of Judaism. From my superficial understanding and what he said, the differences in their religious practices is irrelevant so long as they follow the 613 commandments. Is that right?)

I really like this Rabbi. WHEN he spoke about the sacredness of the land, my ears really perked up because I have written in my comments that that's ONE thing no one ever discusses. THIS SACRED LAND is being desecrated with bombs and hate and cruelty. I do believe in the power of the land and the sacredness of land.
I was there in the 80s when there was relative peace and I could still feel the Holiness of place. I do NOT want to go back as long as it is a Zionist State-- full of violence and hate and killing and sadistic treatment of another group of people because it will no longer be holy. You are correct. The term “Jew” didn’t exist at the time of Moses because English did not exist. In Hebrew, jew is Yehudi, which means “Of Judah” which WAS one of the 12 tribes. Jews should be called in English Judahites. It would be more accurate. Per scripture, judah was the most numberous tribe and, generations later, was the tribe of King David and Solomon. After the schism splitting the Nation to the kingdom is israel in the north and the kingdom of Judah in the south, the Assyrian King Sannecherib conquered the northern kingdom. It is believes that the northern Israelites were scattered around the world, hence the origin of the “10 lost tribes” and many fled south and were absorbed into the kingdom of judah. There are both ancient Assyrian and Levantine artifacts corroborating these events in the archaeological record.

I'm a zionist. This was hard to watch to but I sat through and listened to the whole interview. I think the only way we can find peace is by having the willingness to listen to one another even if we disagree. Many of the things Rabbi Shapiro said I find difficult to understand. His warped view of history is far from mainstream but nonetheless I wish him the best. Perhaps, despite his anti-jewish sentiments, he may inadvertently share the truth of Hashem with people who would otherwise be to opposed to hearing the same words from a typical Jew (most of us are zionist). In the end God will reveal who's right but by that point all of this will be the least of our concern

As a Christian I must say that the definition to us of a Jew is this verse by the Apostle Paul regardless of whatever definitions people make up concerning Judaism. Romans 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. Thus what ever advantages a Jew may have they are enemies of the cross of Christ ie unbelievers. If you have believed in Jesus Christ for your salvation then there is no difference between you and a gentile believer as far as positional truth. However if you fully trust Judiasm regardless if you are A Zionist or Not the definition of a Jew is strictly related to your genealogy or male bloodline traceable through patriarchal DNA and has nothing to do with matriarchal DNA. A genealogical record is necessary to prove or disprove if you are a direct descendant from Abraham Isaac or and Jacob or Israel. It is purely the male to male to male to male bloodline that makes you a Jew or not according to the apostle Paul. The only exception to this rule is Jesus Christ being the seed of the woman whom had a bloodline traceable to Israel through the male only bloodline. Therefore there is a very much racial element to being a Jew but if you are a believing Jew the race becomes of no issue and therefore you are a Christian. However if you are a gentile Christian you now have the bloodline of Jesus Himself. Jesus's genetic essence came solely from the woman and how God the Father and God the Spirit took that alone and weaved it into the body in which Jesus the Son was incarnated therein. it is a somewhat complicated relationship to decipher. I mean you can adopt the religion traditions and customs of the Jews and you can even have a Jewish mother but to a Christian that does not really make you a Jew. Yet even by the Old Testament alone this definition was always what a Jew was.

I respectfully submit : Margaret Mead, the American anthropologist (1901 - 1978) defined the Jewish people as being a "cultural enclave."
Mead said she meant: an identity as a people and who have the "characteristics of a nation," such as a shared history, along with a historical language, music, folklore, holidays, memories, food, plus a pantheon of scholars and rabbis (teachers). Mead's definition embraces and includes secular Jews and religious Jews.
Although the Jews of Iran have a different diet, language and cultural practices that differ from a Libyan jew or a German Jew, etc..

I think I prefer religious Jews (or my regular New York neighbor Jews) rather than Zionism.
My teacher was a non practicing born Jew and he said he was traumatized by how they taught him about the holocaust.
It's good to learn your history but you have to be careful not to traumatize your kids and make their life harder.
