Professor Rudolph Ware, also known as Butchware on social media, speaks about his upbringing and how reading the autobiography of Malcolm X inspired him.
He shares his thoughts on how he believes Malcolm X would have responded to the 7 October attacks, the important legacy and “moral obligation” to resist colonialism and how that applies to Palestinians.
Professor Ware explains how ‘exemplary violence’ was used to dehumanise slaves and how it is being applied by Israel in Palestine right now, while “liberal” media and “liberal” powers provide cover.
He also speaks about white supremacy. He criticises people who are platforming Candace Owens on Palestine as “hurtful” to the black community and damaging to fostering true solidarity. He pulls no punches. Shaun King, LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, Trevor Noah and the “crocodile tears” that are used to justify the spilling of the blood of brown and black people all come under the microscope.

But remember, Dr. Finkelstein was virtually nowhere to be seen before Oct. 7th. I have been following his trajectory since the despicable Alan Dershowitz, with the aid of his accomplices, ensured that Dr. Finkelstein didn't receive tenure at DePaul University in +/- 2007. But most people only became aware of him over the last 7 months as, other than an annual interview on Democracy Now!, he was barely present on alternative media previously.. So it's not as if he has been saturating the airwaves for years on end.
From time to time he says he's tired (he does another one of his hour-long podcast interviews practically every other day…so it's understandable!), but he'll be around for quite a while longer! (Remember, Noam Chomsky is almost 25 years older than he is!)

As a white Englishman, as a cockney who has been the subject of class suppression all my life, I have to express my view that what Professor Ware is saying is about the path of sanity to a peaceful future. I would just say that whilst I agree that black people "know this story" there are white people who also know the story just as there are Jews protesting against Zionism. All I am trying to say is that this is about those of us who respect humanity and those of us who do not. It has nothing to do with skin colour, religion, culture or passport; it has everything to do with the human experience inside all of us. There are those against us and we need to make sure we stand together against them.

I am at 28 mins into this video and Professor Ware is now on my key reading list.
World domination and control, and all that comes with that, emanates from a specific part of the world. It has done so for 500 years and counting. If it is within all of us to be this way, why aren't others engaging in it? "We" the global South, just want to be left alone. World domination is not out bag.
This is a testament of the western society, and so-called western "values". Its exposing the ruling class as being very classist and racist (supported by a huge voting majority).

I'm blown away by the Professor's ardent, articulate, eloquence - 100% AMEN to all his words... I'm huge a fan of Malcolm X - he was the most important contemporous warrior and activist for true humanity (and he was not afraid to evolve/refine his thoughts and ideologies, based on the people he met, knowledge he gained and what he experienced in living his life❤
In Britain the newspapers and the TV news attempted to make Malcolm X out to be a leftist agitator and a racist. I guess they were only aping what their American newspaper outlets were touting.
This is one of the most heavy duty, intelligent interviews I've seen in a very long time. Professor Ware' s depth and historical breadth is absolutely impressive. I see a lot of the late Dr Amos Wilson in him in that they both possess the gift of being able to critically analyze apply history and human behavior to "see" whats approaching ahead of the curve. It's telling that at the heart of white supremacist empire, in the British Isles, you would be arrested as a terrorist for singing Irish resistance songs until very recently. The Scottish and Irish resistance songs hold the history of those people, and they have a strong history of resistance. English resistance songs have been all but lost. The English have lost their tradition of resistance. The US tradition is to take the art of resistance and turns it into commercialised pieces of social engineering.

Always, the stories we are encouraged to consume by empire are engineered toward atomisation: gangster rap, isolating sexual practices, and ultimately battle cries to praise the oppressor and fight those designated as the problem 'other'.

In Glasgow there is a football team called Rangers whos fans sing loud and proud "up to our knees in Fenian (Catholic) blood" every weekend at their games.
Just imagine a baseball teams fans in new York singing "up to our knees in Jewish blood at their baseball games each week. Gives you an idea of how little Scotland has moved from the days of the black and tans in northern Ireland.

BLM is a liberal organization and not an anti- imperialist organization .
South Africa was not liberated from Apartheid due to student protests. It was through arm struggle and would have continued had it not been for military assistance to Azania from Cuba at Cuito Cuanavale.
Many students protest have a narrative of ceasefire when the objective should be to assist Hamas and the resistance like USA did for Ukraine
Just listened to this with family. It's amazing how triggering the phrase 'white supremacy' can be for white folk. Like they are personally being accused of somthing. Humph. Some yelling later and I still don't know what phrase would better suit their sensitivities.

We can do Murual Aid, to a point, and it's important.
But...the limit is there as a barrier for all who have liberal comfort they want to save...status quo comes back to prevent Revolutionary praxis.

Yes, I hope this is a “last gasp” of US Imperialism. Within 24-hours of October 7th, I knew in my heart, the Palestinians were going to be destroyed. I was horrified and raised my voice in my vegan sphere. I also could not believe this group of compassionate people voiced support for what was being done in Gaza while with the next breath claiming love for all sentient beings. I am still in shock by the inability of my group to see the same dehumanizing comments used to support the slaughter & torture of animals being used against our brothers & sisters in Palestine. 😔
Those people are not a "community," and they do not "revere life."

How would one express themselves? What would be the expression if white people went through what they did and how they did? Then I began to shed the shackles of ignorance.

I'm a non-religious man, but what Prof Rudolph Ware said about what Mohammed said in regards to speaking out about injustice reminds me of something that Jesus said in the Christian Bible when he said "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.". I have always interpreted that as him saying " I have come to start a scandal and it's gonna get ugly". In that, I think what he meant is that his word was the "SWORD" and that it would be scandalous and disrupt the peace, or status quo, because his aim was to upend the establishment and their hardened, corrupt and wicked ways. I think the moral of that is we should never remain silent in the face of injustice even to our own detriment. We should never fear backlash for speaking truth to power and together we can make a difference. It is righteous to fight against injustice. I think that is the message being projected by, both Mohammed and Jesus. My Muslim and Christian brothers and sisters can correct me if I am wrong, but I think being human, regardless of faith or lack thereof, means being empathetic toward the suffering of others. I have a hard time understanding those who lack that basic ingredient. How can one observe a dead or injured child and have no emotional connection but, instead, pass it off as if looking at a piece of disposable furniture or clothing?
I'm really impressed with this professor, the only point I slightly disagree with is about brother shaun King, no matter what someone's past once a brother or sister reverts to Islam then he or she should only be judged by there actions after that and as the professor said himself us Muslims have to fight our own naffs totally agree with everything else
