Thank you for not only clearly demonstrating how well this guitar performs as a finger-picker, but especially for the open G and open C tunings, including Fahey's "Night Train of Valhalla!" Now to figure out how to come up with the spare scratch to acquire one!
Thanks, Russ!
Sounds awesome!
Thanks, Serge!
I like it!!
What a guitar! Cheers
Another great one, Nick! Watching from Massachusetts!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love my 2016 00-15 retro......the burst is nice and ithas an ebony bridge and board......they sound great when they get a few years on them!
Very nice!
So glad i got one of these when they were making them. I prefer the shorter scale. At 8 years old, it's sounding sweeter everyday!
@@latoniasprings mine too......lots of volume for a small box!
🔥
Fire!
I have a Martin 00-15 M, 2years old in March ‘24. Love it! I’m absolutely sure you could make mine sound just like your shop model!😂 Great picking man! Thanks for sharing .
Thanks for watching enjoy that fine guitar!!
I played a similar guitar at the Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania a few weeks ago. I had no pick, so I thumb-strummed until I got a massive blister. Great playing and sounding guitar!
That's awesome you got to the factory! Keep playing that blister, heal and repeat! Cheers
@@studio1vintageguitars I only live about 1.5 hours away. The first time I went, CF Martin IV was my tour guide! I love that company- it’s great in every way.
Hi Nick, thanks for beautifully showcasing this lovely Martin. 🙏 And great fingerpicking skills. Very inspirational.
Do you believe adapting to a 2 1/8" bridge sting spacing like on the 00-15M for fingerpicking is solely a matter of the right picking technique?
And out of curiosity: is it normal that these 00-15M does leave the factory with relative high action (~ 3mm at E 12th Fret)? I know it's personal preference but what action would you recommend on such a small body 00-15M for fingerpicking and light strumming? Would appreciate your answer.
What are the mics here?? DPA?
Schoeps CMC-1K Microphones
Oh no, you ruined my 000-15M by favoring the 00! 😅 But nevermind I love mine. Really like the finish on those, plus mine has got a burst, which I believe they don't offer anymore. Anyway thanks for this!
xD feel ya
Hey man! It's a close close race between these two, you could say it's just picking how tight do you want the bass response (for fingerpicking). I'd be over the moon with either one, so you've got a winner!!
action is too low on this one
The action was not low on this guitar
