to those blaming britian, it seems you didnt watch the video, UN was the one who split the land and the palestinians rejected and declared war and lost. what the palestinians shouldve done is, accepted the UN partition and call UN peace keeping forces to protect the borders, instead of declaring war.

You could as easily say jewish immigrants should've simply stayed away from palestine, and that would be a very unfair reduction of a quite complex historical situation in the same way what you said.
The partition was quite controversial, and arguably split the land unfairly (a lot of muslim people now suddenly lived in a jewish state)
Also why should the UN at that time, which had no representation for any group present in palestine and which was (and still is) completely undemocratic, be recognised as the deciding authority here? Palestinians had no seat at the table, how could they even "accept" the resolution?
All muslim member states voted against the partition as put forward by the UNSCOP by the way, shouldnt that have been reason enough to question its peace-bringing power? Also there was no declaration of war by palestinians, it was a civil war at first, the other arab nations who declared war are not palestinians.
Also the conflict didnt start at this resolution, the english are to a high degree responsible for what happened before.

If your caught doing certain crimes, your home is destroyed and your entire family is punished. This is a cultural thing that's very common over there, yet people like you portray it as some evil only commited by jews. There were many British people in positions of influence who were on the Arab side, and many who were on the Jewish side. Loads of British soldiers were killed by Stern Gang and Irgun terrorists and eventually the UK told America and the UN "If we are not allowed to protect each side equally and limit Jewish immigration (which was a major reason for Arab tensions being so high) then we give up. We are leaving"
The Mandate was unworkable and many UK politicians wanted to avoid the responsibility in the first place. I mean what did Britain get out of it? A few hundred dead soldiers? The same was true for America - many Americans didn't want to get involved.
When the British left and as the UN was debating what to do a massacre of a Palestinian village, which led to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to flee their land which was then captured by Israelis, forced the issue. The facts on the ground were changed.
I'm not saying the UK can't be criticized for certain actions in Palestine but to blame the ethnic conflict on the UK is insane. I wonder what Palestinians would say, the actions of Britain 70 years ago or the actions of Israel for the past 70 years? And Israelis would probably say the same.

Unfortunately, this is what happened to my great grandpa. A home which we had owned for 6 whole generations was destroyed to make way for Jewish roads and settler movements without our knowledge. For hundreds of years, me and my family tree (dads side) had owned this land, and once it was flourishing with livestock, a market place, plants and trees for any fruit/veggie you could think of, a good university nearby, a mosque, a comfortably sized home, etc. Until Israeli settlers, dare I say unrightfully stole the land we’d been making for so long and claimed it as theirs. We now own 1/5th of the plants we used to and the other livestock, market place and house are now occupied by Israeli settlers completely not under our control. I now live in America but my grandparents unfortunately couldn’t afford to go to America so they illegally snuck outside the refugee camp we’d been out into and into Jordan. They were deported to Kuwait and that’s where my parents were born. My grandparents didn’t have enough money to go to America or stay in Kuwait so they moved back to a small, shady apartment in Jordan where they live now. It could’ve all been so different though. Better even.

And it was Palestine.. and don't make it sound like a favor (bc of a conflict the UK divided the land) no as a colonial kingdom and part of their colonialism they split a land of other people (palestinians) and brought settlers from Europe.. to compensate for a holocaust that they (europe) had committed against Jewish people.. and of course bc the colonial states needed a state to control the region so what is better than using the tragedy of news to make believe they care.

As the UN Secretary of State Dean Rusk said: “They attacked on a Monday, knowing that on Wednesday the Egyptian vice-president would arrive in Washington to talk about reopening the Strait of Tiran.” Yes Egypt asked the UN troops to leave, and moved in military to take their place, but there is no mention in this video that Israel always had military massed near the border. All we hear is "Egypt pulled out U.N. troops and blocked the Strait of Tiran, so Israel had no choice but to bomb Egypt." This is also why, no matter how many people call for "free Tibet", or "land back" here in the West,, it would never happen as the activists intended - all these settlements over the years are now fully entranced in the areas of the West Bank, just as similar as the ethnic Han Chinese settling in Tibet since the 1960's, or the hundreds of years that European settlers have in the Americas. The only realistic solution (for better or for worse), is for us to all learn how to peacefully co-exist with one another, based on mutual understanding and mutual respect. There's not much we can do with the past, but I doubt trying to re-segregate ourselves for the future would be a good idea.

This video starts off terrible by saying there were growing tensions between jews and arabs so the land was split by the UN but the arabs couldn't except it. This misses out the essential context that initially it was almost all arab and they got on with the jews there, then there was a huge amount of jewish immigration following the tensions that brang the UN split the land (which was promised by britain to both the arabs and the jews) which gave the more fertile and more land to the jewish people who made up a minority. I think that the context behind why palestinas called a war in 1948 should be known and good journalism should show it.

1- Promoting co-existing on both sides
2- changing the name from Israel or Palestine to something neutral.
3 proper representation based on citizenship and governing by constitution and not religion
4- ceasing advancements on holy structures and allowing everyone the freedom of religious practice under mutual respect.

So that mean more Jews could have migrated there or just stayed in Europe as they were already rich. But they didn't and made a cursed country on Palestinie.
Let me repeat, they got scattered so Palestinians settled there and the area was then known as Palestine. Some Jews also lived there. And Jews could also have immigrated there. But they made a state kicking them out which they left for 2000 years.

Both sides play dirty here and this is just the first video which basically just explains the map and skips over most other things which aren't relevant to understanding the map - you don't need to know Arafat to understand the map nor do you need to know about many other things.

And though the land passed through the possession of multiple empires, none of them ever established a state in the region, so there objectively has never been a state of "Palestine". Hey paints this people who live there as good and nice people, I’m sure some are, but a big majority go live there to support taking the land and kicking out of Palestinian, some of them literally take houses in the middle of cities, someway they dedicated their life to be an annoyance for Palestinians, and that is horrible.

The way the Israeli state was established is not that simple as it's described here. There was a Jewish question in Europe as European nations were not sure what to do with Jews in Europe after WW2. A Jewish guy named Theodor Herzl made some agreements with the UK and they allowed European jews to settle in Palestine. Millions of Jews from all over the world immigrated to Palestine, aka Aliyah, and then with the Support of the US and the UK (lots of money) established a State. So it wasn't like millions of Jews lived in Palestine and decided to become independent. Millions of Jews moved to Palestine.

No Jews were sent to Palestine, they moved there on their own. There have always been Jews living there, even after the Roman expulsion, almost all towns have Hebrew names, even the Arab ones (example Beit Hanina, an Arab town means house of pardon in Hebrew). As far as the Arabs, most of them moved to "Palestine" as the same time the Jews came. Yasir Arafat, the " Father of the Palestinians" is from Egypt!

This is as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. Bottom line is Israel is an Occupier and Palestinians are living under an Open Air Prison. Hamas is the symptom of the occupation. Whenever there is occupation, there is resistance, This is the law of nature.

    • @lennardchurch8483
      @lennardchurch8483 Před 5 měsíci

That's false. Israel was founded in full compliance with all internationally established rules and standards for the creation of a new country. They're not an "occupier" because it's legally and rightfully their land.
There never was a state of "Palestine". That name was slapped on Judea by the Romans in an attempt to erase Israel from history, but neither they nor anyone else ever put a state of "Palestine" there. The vast majority of Arabs who claim to be "Palestinians" are the first and second generation descendants of the genocidal raiders from Egypt and Jordan who tried to eradicate Israel when it was reestablished after WW2.
Hamas is a continuation of the Arab aggression that's existed against Israel ever since it was re-established in the Jews' ancient homeland. The bloodshed between the two sides consistently starts with the Arabs murdering Israeli civilians, and then pretending they didn't start it when Israel responds.
R***ing women to death and dragging their bodies through the streets naked, decapitating babies, butchering Holocaust survivors in their homes, is not "resistance". It's the work of monsters, crimes against humanity, and it's how Hamas operates.
All of the restrictions on Gaza and the West Bank are a consequence of the brutal violence of the Arabs there against the Israeli civilians.

It was never agreed with the people who actually lived in Palestine and it was only an 'agreement' in the sense that it was intended to ease the path for another agreement (from the US and Swiss banks) to approve a massive war loan to the British government while the outcome of WWI was still in the balance. The British banker (Lord Rothschild) was a prominent figure in the Zionist Federation and thought to be influential with his US and Swiss counterparts and the Balfour Declaration was presented to him without any consultation with the inhabitants of Palestine who were still Ottoman subjects. Also; the British had already promised the Arabs an independent Arab nation (to include Palestine) as a reward for mounting a rebellion again the Ottoman Empire which was fighting alongside Germany (look up the McMahon Hussein correspondence if you want to research it). History is important here so don't use misleading and inappropriate terms like 'agreement' when you really mean 'a unilateral imposition'.

Interesting video, but you did ignore few facts.
    1. Mass migration of Jews to Palestine especially after WWII.
    2. Israel attacked Egypt along with Britain and France in 1956
    3. Israel invaded Syria, Jordan and Egypt in 1967.
    4. Syria and Egypt fought back in 1973, only to get half of the Golan Heights and Egypt got back all of Sinai under peace treaty.
    5. Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982.
And of course, since 1967, Israel continued to build more settlements in the west bank, do to the Palestinians what the Nazis did to the Jews.

and arabs also migrated in large numbers to the land with recent develement
      2. true(but it returned all the land gained from that war)
      3. egypt and syria commited 2 acts of war(closing the stairts of tiran and kicking the UN observers from siniai) before 67 war. so basically they declared war on israel , but israel fired the first bullet
      4.ok
      5. again israel was attacked from lebanon with rokets(only then it attacked)
you are the one ignoring the facts, the arabs always attack or declare were first . its not israel fault that it doesnt lose

Israel offered more then 5 times a peaceful SOLUTION to the conflict, Palestine refused all of them! Plus any palestinian civilian deaths were not intended by the IDF and were military accidents BECAUSE "Hamas" (Palestinian terrorists organasation) fires rockets from palestinian residential areas. So exuse me if i support Israel D: AND every palestinan expelled from there homes were either: Ilegel buildings without premissions from the controlling area,Terr0orists,Were in territories won by DEFENSIVE wars which means they are no longer supposed to be there because according to the "United Nations" Every territory gained from a defensive war automatcly belong to the defensive side IF they won, And remember! not only the palestnians are suffering from this conflcit! You left out some really big chunks of important information:
    1) In 1948, Israel was invaded by every country that it shared a boarder with- Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon and also Saudi Arabia, together with troops from Morocco and Algeria. Israel won.
    2) The war is 1967 was also a war for Israel’s survival. The Armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria had mobilised and were assembled in preparation to (again) invade Israel. Rather than wait to be invaded, Israel attacked first and wiped out the Arab airforces on the ground before they could take off.
3)The 2005 removal of Israeli settlers from Gaza was part of a peace deal, which the Arabs reneged on.
This video tells only a small part of what the history is. 8:05
