    Great video! On my vehicle (2006 325xi with FRM1 aka FRM) the option to keep the windows rolling up is named just TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT (not FH_TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT_3R) , so it looks like the naming was changed slightly between FRM versions.

    Hi Mr Barn, thanks for the video showing options, recently got the software installed and a K+DCAN cable, one thing I found helpful being a newbie was using NCS Dummy to manipulate the trace file as it translates the options into meaningful English, I know you have to select the correct firmware for you module but that’s easy to get.
    One option people might want to turn on if turning on the digital speedo, is either true speed or the corrected speed so it matches the analog dial, you might not of seen this using notepad if your only looking for a specific option. Also not sure if it’s there for everyone as my car is a LCI.
    Thanks again, I’m eager to explore more options and want to add the Professional radio option to my vehicle so hunting for the procedure and codes to add.

    • @OURBENEFACT0RS
      @OURBENEFACT0RS Před rokem

      On my car the speedo correction option was already set to "aktiv" for both the digital and analog gauges, even when the digital gauge was disabled. So, unless this was messed with previously (unlikely!), you shouldn't need to change anything besides the one setting to enable the digital readout.

    • @OURBENEFACT0RS
      @OURBENEFACT0RS Před rokem

      Steps to reset steering warning (this often shows up after disconnecting the battery). 1. Start the car (engine on). 2. Turn the wheel all the way left, then all the way right. 3. Thanks BMW, your steering error is gone. Doing this procedure calibrates something and makes this error go away in most cases. If it doesn't go away after doing this there could be an actual hardware issue.

Thank you,

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  Před 3 lety +4

      That sounds like all the common stuff! There's tons of stuff you could do preventatively, but I'd recommend starting on the stuff that looks oldest/original. Low pressure fuel pump failures are common, oil pan gasket, and engine sensors will fail all the time too! But to save your wallet, try to just address things one at a time lol :)

    • @TheBimmerBarn

      You need to do a short circuit reset on the FRM to make that circuit power on again. Something you can do in ISTA or other dealer tools.
