I know all of you have commented on doing my video in 4-k but for the time being this is not possible as I'm just starting out with my channel and as it grows and I earn more income then I can advance my equipment but until then I am sorry I will not being doing videos in 4-k as the editing of them is to hard on my computer.

I can't believe that 'all of us' have been complaining that you aren't recording in 4K. I believe that 1080p is more than adequate. It's not like we're looking at the internal springs and gears of a Rolex. Your videos are quite nice.

Better than what happened to my grandpa,his cable box in his room died, and now we have X1 hooked up to a 75 inch Sony Bravia 4K smart TV, and a 43 inch LG in the sunroom for my use,also 4K and another Sony TV in his room also 4K

Pro tip: you can watch movies on Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.

cable box when on heats up a lot so closed up like that can cause a fire I have the same box and when u touch the top of box it really gets super hot so I don't know I keep the box well venelated
Never use the cable out to your VCR always use RCA cables or component better quality then using the cable. And never use the ethernet port on the box it is not active and if you plug it into your modem you could knock out your internet
The thing about Ethernet isn’t true. If the X1 network is configured properly and everything is communicating properly, the Ethernet port works on the back of the boxes to extend the wired internet through the home.

Hey there Chris, any chance you remember what model of cable box you had to trade in here? I just had Comcast send me out a box (model pr150bnm) that looks identical to the one you started out with and it refuses to activate. I had a feeling it wasn't right when the remote they sent with it had no voice button. Thanks.
The older Pace HD box was already [dead or not working ] a man from Shaw came on the 22nd of Oct & brought in a Mortola HD box which is working just fine also we bought a DVD Blu-ray player that needed an HDMI Cable to connect to the HDMI 2 port in back of the TV [it works great.]

What is the hdmi in port on the comcast box used for? It's gotta be there for a reason no one much less comcast tech know or explain what it does this shit is crazy.

The cable box is not supposed to turn off, the off button is for your TV

I'm pretty sure my box is DOA, it doesn't light up blue in front but the Ethernet port does light up green. I tried plugging it in to 3 different outlets. Even used the included splitter in hopes it was just the coax cables coming into the apartment. For whatever reason only the black one feeds the internet and the white ones do jack all.
Got on the horn with Comcast and my hunch was correct. They're sending a guy by tomorrow with a new box at no charge and comping me $7 for the inconvenience. Sweet!
Why did you not show the box working after all the setup? Wasn't the main reason to be able to use netflix. You should demonstrate the problem is actually solved.
