    It would be super trick to set it up with a different linkage and run the shifter just like the old tank shift bikes. Less chance of snapping off the shifter shaft if you ever have a accident. I have been modifying bikes for years with that as a primary concern. If I get loaded and wreck, I want the best chance of getting up and riding away after. It's happened a few times and I was lucky I could just wrap the road rash and still get home without a tow truck 👍

      Why not just remove the foot part & leave the shaft joining like the stock?

    I'm going to leave my clutch lever where it is and fab a tank type shift on the right so you come off the throttle to shift like ol indian chiefs

    How long did you have it on three before you had transmission problems ...

    • @durbandungeon
      @durbandungeon  Před 3 lety +2

      Never had any transmission problems at all. In fact it was a pleasure to use.

    At least, make a paralel footclutch or extra handclutch, so you can steer with both hands. Still the most dangerous and useless mod you can do on a bike. All that lever comes directly on the axl and bearing. Imagen what force you put on the shifting system. I guess that this was just one day "fun"?

    • @durbandungeon
      @durbandungeon  Před 4 lety +3

      See the follow up video where I made a foot clutch for exactly the reasons you stated. Two hands are definitely required.

      Durban Dungeon no I mean good work dude,, but go the whole suicide foot clutch as well, but youron to a good idea,, if they could hide the clutch cable, or make internal wiring

    • @durbandungeon
      @durbandungeon  Před 3 lety +1

      @@brunothebold3139 I did end up making a foot operated clutch. It was a much safer option. I think it's on another video in that playlist.
