- There is a lot of history & stories to be told about this ol bike that we call Maxwell House Chopper! Ever wondered where the name Maxwell House came from? I'm about to tell you!
rough timeline:
Original build by Ulys "Useless" Youngblood
Traded 2 Glocks to J Mac for the bike
Added a few bits of my grandpa to it
Changed a handful of things here & there
Fabricated the clutch handle from a piece that was gifted to me from K Cole
Rebuilt the evo
Rode the shit out of it

The most important thing about it, is you made it YOURS. Edit to add: one of the things I love about your channel is seeing how you and Steph love each other.
It’s refreshing to see a real biker for a change.
Love that bike and lineage. That’s why I love choppers it’s the story’s of love behind them
You two are FREAKING RAD!!!
Steph is definitely a keeper. Prayers for many more years and miles.
My shovel is so bastardized, it doesn't even resemble an FXS lowrider anymore. Everything's been done to the bike just shy of making it a hardtail. I can always appreciate a bike that's has a bit of history and character of the rider.
That lever might be the coolest chopper part I have ever heard of.
Love the old chop, so much history tied up in one machine! I lost my Dad back in 1979, he always had bikes and was a dispatch rider in WW2. Here I am, almost 67 years old and after 50 years of Japanese, German, Italian and British bikes I finally got a Harley Dyna last year which was an abandoned project that I've rebuilt. I carry my Dad's old motorcycle tool kit in the fork bag, in some small way it makes me feel a part of his spirit rides with me. Crazy hey? Subscribed from the U.K. ....... ride safe.
Hey brother, U do what U want to do with Ur bike!! It's wot makes our bikes individual's!! Stu from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺 Old skool biker
Two pieces of Tupperware for that iron! Great deal!
Maxwellhouse is a story that you can just keep adding chapters too! Love watching this story unfold💙
It has been alot of fun over the last several years for sure!
👽
Way To Go,big .. /Tym is on side,Yes it is...?
It is a little to fancy for me! lol the headlight is off a sportser/super glide,my main ride of 20 yrs + a 1983 flh shovelhead chopper love those tractor motors! two years ago I bought a 1999 evo softail with no miles! 5speed evo what a different bike! just chopped it this month 8inch over 35mm narrow glide with that same eyebrow light tall stacks up over my head 7ft tall sissy bar ! but no gps yet! cool bike!
You & Steph are Cool AF! Maxwell House is Outasight! "All the Best" in 2024...and Always! 👍✌️🇨🇦
Great video. People have made the term chopper generic nowadays and I'm my world your bike is the definition of the word. Been riding 9 months before I was born and choppers to me have to be personal bikes. I mean yeah, the forks longer with some rake is the start but the rest of it just has to be an expression of who you are. Love your bike hands down. Thanks for posting. As always..... keep on keeping on.
Love the story of the bike Motorcycle like that is better than I knew one Any day.
Great story… I’m sure the GPS will come in handy…& you’ll have a speedometer
I love the whole story and that bike of yours is a genuine chopper, more tyan my 96 dyna. Enjoy it and have a great Journey with lots of good memories. But you look so old in this post that makes me sad. You are the young gun, we are the old ones. Cheers my friend.
Very cool story, ride safe, ride forever brother
Finally I found a channel I could Relate to. That is one bad ass motorcycle. I used to live in Arkansas in Winslow to be precise and also Springdale and Fayetteville. I am now back home in Chicago IL... Hopefully I'll get a chance to chat with you guys. I was in a bad motorcycle accident back in June of 2021 broke my pelvis in half. Died once during surgery. I've healed up better than I ever thought I would or the doctors so I went out and bought another Harley. A 2023 road glide 3. Very first person in Illinois to own one
Hi!
I am Your subcriber from Latvia (country in North Europe). Thanks for video! Very cool bike, respect!
Love the story of Maxwell house. It’s truly a tribute to
The story behind anything is what is truly interesting. Your bike is great and the fact that you built so much of it means a lot. God bless you both and be safe.
Wow this is very cool I like it especially the stuff you put on it from your family and friends is really cool
I gotta say man... This is your best video yet. I felt like I got to know you guys a little bit, and that makes people care more about you. Love the bike, love the channel, and I got nothing but love for you guys...
EVO'S FOREVER. No recalls for us. I dig this ride. Glad to see the Keihin still rockin. subscribed
Love the bike. It's an homage to riding, family, fun, friends. Awesome job
Awesome story dude! That chopper is Irreplaceable cause of the sentimental value. Thanks for sharing the story. I just started riding 2 years ago and I have an Indian scout. But I love all bikes it doesn't matter what company or who built the bike they ride on 2 wheels and that's what matters. Be safe out there!
Tj i have to say that ole school chooper is sweet esp love the self made parts . The homemade parts gives it lots of meaningful character ...peace brother!!
TJ and Steph.. that ole chop is cool as fuck, and hell ya that clutch handle is a must, the story behind it is totally worth the price of admission, thanks for taking the time to share the story behind Maxwell House, ride safe and see ya on the next one. Cheers from the Great White North
Greetings fellow Canuck! Ever hear of The Smoke Out? It's an event in North Carolina that used to be associated with the now defunct Horse Backstreet Chopper mag. The event has been resurrected by CycleSource mag and the event is better than any of the big rallies, IMHO. I originally went to it in 2006 and was blown away by all the bikes of the same ilk as Mr. Hornery's. I loved the event so much I went year after year and ended up being involved with it for the last 12 years. I myself am not mechanically adept to put together something like this bike, but love the party. Great people and wild times. We ride down to it every year/ Ride safe-Uncle Ben from Ontario
@@briansauer6695 Greetings as well fellow Canuck.. yes ive heard Of the smoke out. But because I live in Western Canada and I'm still working. I can't get the time off to go plus as you fully well know, there's a chance there's snow on the ground in Western Canada about the same time and smoke out is on.( shit ive seen snow every month of the yr in Alberta...🥺), plus the fact That it's 3800 plus Km one way to the smoke out from where i live... that makes for a long haul in Sept on bikes.. maybe someday, For now, I'll just have to watch It on CZcams.
Thanks for the reachout brother.. And as always Cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦
The more you know💫
Gr8 video Brother
Fantastic bike. Just discovered your channel... love it.. thank you..
Your story made me feel how much you care about your friends
Awesome story and bike 🤘🏻Ride safe brother 😎
Can’t get any cooler than that . Hell of a history. My buddies are always giving me hell for riding my old chopper I bought as a basket case other than riding my Ultra Limited. The old chopper is more me than the cookie cutter black Ultra . . The guy I got it from was trying to build it . But he didn’t have the ability to do it. He actually hired me to build it for him . Then one day he called offering to sale it to me before getting it done. The whole time working on it I was thinking‘I’ve got to build me a bike next “. So when he called me I was like a fat kid on a piece of cake .
Thanks for posting your story
Steph gave me the 2 min tour of your chopper at the Farm. I noticed the horse shoe and asked her if there was a story with it. The idea of your bike if very cool and great story!
I love it!! you made it your own. that IS a custom bike!! got a lot of memories on it. beautiful!!
Awesome story and awesome bike guys. Never get rid of it.
We had a ‘52 Panhead chopper. We’d get pulled over and measured all the time. Anyway in PA we had a blast with Toys for Tots etc. cool story-over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge I lost my foot peg .. I had to keep my leg up for 20 miles. Oh the memories. I miss our biker friends. Anyway my husband died on his bike going to work. A city bus went through a red light. Bike totaled but parts I decided to bury. Ben was the second owner to die on this bike. So promise me people to bless your bikes and do not trust any cars. God bless❤️ OZARK? Springfield Mo here❤️
TJ...I'm almost positive that clutch is from a hip replacement . The "ball" attaches to the hip socket and the rod goes down the femur . Don't ask me why I would know. Your opinion not needed ...Great share , really appreciate the story behind the build .
I love old choppers with family history that actually mean something. I hope you and Steph have a great New Year.
Wonderful story and bike. I have always liked choppers but never owned one. Closest I got was when I took the shocks off my old Triumph and installed pieces of pipe to make it a hard tail. That lasted about 5 minutes. I love all your custom features made from historic items. Your bike is a rider not a showpiece trailer queen. I wish you many more years of riding.
Art on wheels my man awesome it's nice to see people that truly cares about there bikes and family keep rolling man
Great history on this bike, thanks for sharing. I'm pretty sure that's a hip replacement joint you have there, I've seen other ones. Never seen one used as a clutch lever before, though!
Your chopper is so unique and true to the rider. That’s what customization is all about. Rad as fuck man. Ride on and ride safe 🙏
Love the bike and all the pieces you've added to it! I can appreciate the work guys put into show bikes with special machined and store bought parts etc, but it's a real work of art when you repurpose objects and make your bike special. I've been involved with The Smoke Out since '06 and the original incarnation with all the fascinating machines that were ridden to the event is what drew me to it. One bike used a double barrel shotgun for the backbone. One last thing. Riding an '02 Superglide over 120,000 miles, and as a short guy, I always liked the mid pegs. Bought an '01 Wideglide and had my buddy make me some mid pegs and brackets for a second foot position the same way you made the horseshoe set. Good idea for putting on those miles! Ride safe!-Uncle Ben from Canada
Really cool history behind this bike, awsome bike man, choppers rule.
A true chopper builder.. Well done...
Maxwell House is a cool old bike. I rode a sucker punch Sally which is a similar designed bike as Maxwell House. Rode it 10 miles that was enough for me. Felt like I was going to blow off the back of it. You guys are tougher than I am.
I have been a subscriber to your channel since before your bike was stolen in Daytona Beach.
Have seen Maxwell House in a lot of videos but have forgotten what each piece meant, thanks for refreshing my memory.
We were both at little Sturgis Kentucky a few years ago but did not bump into you would have been nice to have met you both.
In May of 2000 my youngest son was diagnosed with brain tumors so I've always had a soft spot in my heart for someone who has had brain tumors.
So thankful you are doing well.
Be careful, ride safe.
Great video! It was cool to hear more about Maxwell House.
That clutch lever is awesome 🤘🏻
I don’t follow the channel as much as I wish I could but I really think this is a cool bike and I’m glad to see this in depth video.
This is fantastic. Love the stories!
Dude that is an awesome story and as for the bike, ...one of the most bad ass custom choppers ive ever seen...i really love that thing man. So cool you still have it and always will.
Thumbs up man, 1 million%
Brother I LOVE your bike!!!! You’ve captured the essence of all you love and keep them with you on your journeys. If you ever make it to upstate New York and need a place to stay or wrench or you’re just hungry, you have a place to recharge.
20 Years of patching with a club this is the coolest thing i have ever seen. Every thing on that bike is a Day from a brother family or best friend. Only thing on my bike that was different is i had a small bell on my bottom tree. Thank you for the video Be Free Ride Safe.
Straight awesome bike. True craftsmanship holding memories and continuous conversations.
Love the bike brother, you just gave me inspiration on what to do with the little stuff I have left over from my pops.
I have been waiting for this breakdown of your bike!! Love it. Very impressive that Steph would ride any real distance on the back of a hardtail, w/o a pad or foot pegs. Look forward to seeing you both again in Sturgis. Thanks for sharing!
jason is the only person that works on my bikes no better bike mechanic or friend !
Man it's a straight chop. It's slick an sounds solid ...
I dig the shit out of Maxwellhouse. Cool chopper doing it your way is the chopper/biker way of life isn’t it? 🤙🏼
CANCER SUCKS!
No lie there brother!
That shits (cancer) is taking my wife of 29 years and there ain't a damn thing I can do but watch!
Awesome Bike!
your video randomly showed up in my feed tonite. i LOVE what you did with that bike! to me, that's what it's all about! all that stuff on there that has meaning for you, and that turns the cool factor up to 11. i just started to build mine. a 900 vulcan custom that i put on 18° trees and 12" over forks and taller bars. i have a 12" gumby figure from my son that has been on every bike i ever owned, strapped to the bars. he's been to 12 states plus canada, so far. i am building the sissy bar from welded chain that i will paint flat black. the rest i will do as i go, figuring out what works, kinda like you did. you have a really cool ride, i really dig it.
The bike of memories. It's not a rat bike if you like the bike that is all that matters the hell with what everyone else thinks
Amazing chopper and story. 🤙🏻
Cool man, I like your story and maxwell house is awsome.
My son is 15 and we found a 06 heritage in bad shape and we are restoring it. This means so much to me to do this with him. One day we will have it running and he will be riding next to me.
Saw this video and subscribed. 99 e-glide classic carbureted with Frankenstein rear end. Cancer survivor and diabetic. Maxwell house bike is awesome and the brand I drink...lol
Cool build! The light's low on the frame, turning light's, way cool.
Hi, New Subscriber. I think it’s great having all your Grandfather’s things on the Bike. It’s like he’s Riding with you. Better than a Bell to keep the Road Demons away. This gives me some Ideas for my Bike. Best wishes to you and your Wife. The Sissy Bar She made looks Great.👍👍
Nice bike all the stuff you said about this bike applies to more than a few the real Voodoo is the ones that still that still ride with you on that bike ❤!
Dude I love your chopper build awesome all the parts/people part put together makes it Rock
GOTTa say I had to Subscribe after hearing how u put the chop together and different pieces u made with sentimental value
Showing ❤brother, love Evos, and the story with your bro touches my heart as I'm fighting cancer, lost my scooter, lift, tools in a storage unit due to losing my job when going thru cancer treatment, I lost 75lbs of muscle and fat,now it's in remission, I wasn't supposed to survive, but I did,now I have a torn rotator cuff😢so I don't even know how I'm going to get another one but I have faith and dreams so whatever it is what it is I guess. Anyway just seen a post on Facebook, thought I'd stop by and check out your CZcams. I'm in Port Orange, so hopefully if yall get up to biketoberfest I can meet ya face to face, yall take care, ride safe, keep the rain to your back🤟🤘💯

I just ran across your video of maxwell house and subscribed. I myself have been tooling around on an ol 78 750 Honda chopper and been loven the shit outta it, I'd send a picture but I can't find the damned picture button. The way you and your Missy like putting things together I bet ya'll would love my ol dodge ram, the hood is made outta 3 different hoods, 77 power wagon, 57 Chevy and 53 Hudson Hawk she's a beaut and I'm very proud of the ol girl.
Maxwell House seems to be a cross between "old school" chopper and "rat bike" that is what (to me) makes it so cool !!!
Memories I get! Clutch handle is funny as😂
Found by accident Apple travel maps works really good on Apple Watch didn't have to look down at the screen just look at my wrist and there it was constantly advancing showing me where I was headed came in handy in Lubbock Texas
Yeah Steph wears an apple watch & it syncs to her directions all the time... I just can't wear a watch. Never have
You two have the rare true sprit of the road. Thanks for vid I really enjoyed it.
Jim
I just love the story about this bike.
i would love to have that bike right up my alley 😎👍
Love it the story behind it is awesome. So ride hard and fast and never forget why you started riding FREEDOM of the open road.Senicieral the Wild Child✌
Sweet chopper buddy. Nice story
Dude the first chopper I ever built was a shadow. Everyone thought it was a Harley. Built the hard tail frame. And hide the radiator in the frame. It looked cool sounded cool and road cool. Some people gave me shit. But most people thought it was badass. I’d still have it but a guy wanted it bad and traded me a bone stock sportster with only 4k miles. So I traded and chopped the sportster.
I see the sprocket air bag on top of the headlight to cushion a crash. LOL
Great thinking outside the box on making things fit and work, very unique ❤
Very Cool!! 😮
Absolutely love this bike and story makes so much sense and this is how I want my own build to be, a great story!
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this video.
