Gerber Prodigy Knife Mods

I've made some simple, yet effective, modifications to my Gerber Prodigy sheath and knife. These modifications provide some minimal survival tools to the knife, so I can create fire.

I have had the plain edge prodigy for about 4 years now.
In that time it has stayed on my belt. And not failed me. I made several modifications to the knife and the sheath too.
One mod I'll share is simple- I used a file to round over the pommel. Now I can put my thumb on it in reverse grip without being poked.

Nice job with the mods. I don't like the lime fire starter, though, and a more reddish orange paracord would suit me better. I am going to look up videos on that snake knot! Thanks.

Why keep the striker? And it’s paracord or 550 cord not string.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured the striker doesn’t take up any space and it might come in handy. Definitely could leave it off. I’m still learning this CZcams thing, so my delivery isn’t polished. Thanks for watching!
