- Just a quick first impressions video on the Gerber Prodigy. I've looked at this knife for a while and finally went ahead and bought one. I'm glad I did! But, if you want one you better get one quick, they're discontinued.
I've had that same Prodigy for years. No complaints. The Strongarm went on sale at Amazon for 47 bucks, got it cause I wanted to see what all the hype was about and it turned out to be a different handle, that's IT! Good knife but not for 90 bucks imo. Picked up the serrated Prodigy at Atlantic Knife for 65 bucks cause sometimes it's good to have a serrated knife. Now I have more knife than I'll ever need lol... I'm happy with that. Great video too!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve never used a strongarm but have looked at several and I agree, only difference I see is the handle and I like the prodigy handle better. Thanks for watching

Been buying these for several years from Walmart , they don't stay long in the be display case . Just bought another one yesterday . Need two more , Walmart only had the one . Don't know if it's a supply problem on the part of Gerber or if it's Walmart being Walmart . 👍
I’ve been eyeballing them for a couple of years, ever since I gave my LMF II to my brother in law. From what I found out doing research for this video Gerber has discontinued them. So when they’re gone that’s it. Supposedly they replaced it with the Strongarm. I bought the last one our Walmart had. Thanks for watching

I believe my brother-in-law got one of these at a Tractor Supply store here in Florida.

I took the coating off my spine it is semi sharpe .i. jad mjne for 4 yrs now iv used it on deer .fish. lots of fires it tough and just about the best design ive handled .only con is the top gaurd gets inthe way now amd then
