Wow! I am blown away at how easy this is...I have a 2019 4Runner and I've been so sad that I missed the 2020 with CarPlay. I didn't get it in 2020 because I as quoted like $1300 for a basic model, and that didn't even include installation, so I gave up. I recently renewed my interest in getting it and asked around again. Now, I was quoted $1100 and $1200 for a basic low-end model with full installation without tax...That was still expensive, so I decided to check around, and I found your website. I was skeptical about how easy the installation would be, but I watched the full video and I am convinced I can do this now. Will be asking the wife for an early Christmas present for myself and hit up your website. Great video!!!

Just installed one in a 2011 4runner sr5 today. Also intergrated the OEM backup camera from the rear view mirror to project not only on the rear view mirror, but onto the screen as well when put into reverse.
(YELLOW RCA CABLE FROM OLD DVD PLAYER ...REDWHITEYELLOW YOU KNOW? THE MALE END... leave about a foot of wire behind it).... strip back wire sheathing,.... split the bare external wire seperate from the sheethed inner wire of RCA...... Outter wire of RCA>Black wire in rear view mirror plug in the roof console area..... Inner sheethed rca wire>WHITE wire in the plug..... (I used speaker wire to run both at the same time :D). Plugin rca "pigtail" cutoff you just spliced into said speaker wire you ran from the 2 wires in that plug at the rearview mirror, to behind headunit to the camera rca in on headunit...... Then run a seperate single wire down from the red wire in the rear view mirrors plug, to reverse trigger wire off the headunit. All done. Took like 25 minutes!
1 thing I dont like is if someone broke into said vehicle. It would take all of 5 seconds to steal the whole bezel and android unit :/ . Any ideas to secure this better (other than an alarm........)?
Great feedback about your experience with the rear camera! I'd definitely recommend an alarm if yours didn't come with one from the factory!
Amazing video! Any recommendations for something similar to this, but has physical know volume buttons? Instead of the wheel control buttons.

Great question! For your vehicle, your rear camera would remain in your rear view with our bundle.

Yes, you will! You'll have access to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (depending on the type of mobile phone you have) and you'll be able to use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze!
Does the back up camera work? What about the the administration functions from the unit?

Only problem is theres no tuner knobs. I got a unit put into my sequoia and the thing doesnt have knobs so its kind of a pain to turn down the volume
Thanks for your feedback! With our bundles your steering wheel controls are maintained so you can turn down volume that way or the head unit has volume buttons on the lower bezel of the head unit!

question ? for the apple car play which USB need to be used ? or we need to install a new one ?
For 2014+ 4Runners our kits retains your factory USB location under your head unit. For 2010 - 2013 that do not have a front facing USB we provide a kit that allows you to create a front facing USB.
@@TrailGridPro do you have a link to the product where we can install the front facing USB in a 10-13, or is it something provided with the head unit if we select a 10-13 model? I've seen some products that allow you to remove the cigarette lighter and replace it with USBs, but there's no data connectivity.

Not on this one, but our Sony 5600 bundle (also a 7” touchscreen) will be out very soon and you can on that! Is there a place to just buy the pre soldered wire harness for this specific head unit for a 2011 4Runner with the jbl system? I already have the head unit and trim piece. Just don’t know what to look for as far as wiring and don’t feel comfortable soldering wires.
At this time we sell all of our units as bundles. We don't have a la carte options.
