- Hey folks, today its a review on the Ki-83. This aircraft is incredibly good, but has drawbacks that can sometimes limit it. Does that mean its bad? Hell no! Hope you enjoy!

Amazing design and performance indeed. Even the shaping of exhaust behind the engines was able to create some additional thrust btw :)
Used to play this on my previous account some three years ago.. and I guess there were some BR changes made, because I was sometimes facing jets like F-84 🤔
Anyway I remmember it was climbing like a rocket and it was overheating like hell.. once engines went red, they were impossible to cool down back.

Easily one of the best, if not the best, heavy fighter prop I ve played. Very versatile, specially when spaded...I do like you believe it is a plane that can support the team against more agile single engine fighters. However I do have killed a lot of bombers with it early game due to the massive climbing advantage you have in it, and a nice solid 30mm burst is just devastating (of course I surprise them, i dont stay behind them for them to have shots on me, that would be dumb). Nice video!
Agreed, I find most twin engined to be able to support the team, players like the guy you saw in this match I tend to ignore and find my own use for a vehicle.
I rarely engaged bombers, this thing goes up like a Roman candle the second you give it an evil look!

The Ki-94 is basically a P47D28 with a pair of 30mm slapped on. Its heavy, not great in a climb, and sluggish but decent in a dive.
Figured that. Least i got to prove some A Holes wrong!
I haven’t got it myself but it seems similar to the Ki-87 which is exactly how you described the Ki-94. Atrocious at low altitudes.

At least he wasn’t toxic, but players who just talk and chase/dive on bombers are the bane of Axis players. What a wonderful plane though! I’m almost there, I’ve unlocked it but I have to purchase the Ki-108 and J5N.

I used to love this beast when 5.0-7.0 was just lame spitfires and some Russian super props, now that us super props got lowered in BR and price this just can't do anything but run away, and it's not even faster than the J5N1
I must agree it has lost some of its touch. Which is a shame really. I havent touched the J5N1 since i spaded it. Loved that thing!
i have semi-recently spaded this this and when you get all the performance upgrades it is so fun since you can climb to 6000m in the first miniuts of the match and dive on the bombers where aiming there guns is hardest, shame it has such a repair cost

Since Ki-83 is a Long Range Heavy Fighter, it could be also use as Reconnaissance aircraft, but for good sake, it's stupid and also quiet effective for some reason since the Navigator could be a human shield to protect the Pilot, but if there was no Navigator, the aircraft could be slight lighter.
Nah just ask Shoji to cut down on the sushi rations. That will lighten the load!

Tbh yeah got it today and spaded it on a few matches, ur basically above everything unvariably and if u use MEC u can get the rad situation under control
I figured using MEC would lessen the problem, I don’t trust myself using MEC I’d break something knowing me!

At least make it 8 for armour! Shoji in the back counts as spaced armour!
And that would explain why I don't see more of these in battle, I just looked it up on the wiki and this thing has a jaw dropping 23k repair cost stock and 28k spaded

I don’t think it’s a 2nd cockpit. It’s likely a Radio or a Compass sort of thing
19:02 That's why i only fly the b 29 in simulator battles, it's way to easy to kill in realistic, what was that? a 3 or 4 second burst and it was thanos snaped by you ki 83
It’s the same story in sim tho. Just it’s harder to locate a vehicle. The 30mm cannons will mess anything up and a B-29 is no sweat

While I m no weeb, infact the oposit. I still like Japanese aircraft, there is something to them maybe how wack they are (not the Zero, I hate the Zero) or the photos of them or I dont know, but I like !them
They did have some very interesting aircraft designs. This Ki-83 is one of them. They have their own unique sort of design and appearance which is what i really like about Japanese planes
@@Joseph-2000 Me too, I like watching photos of japanese prototype aircraft, but the Zero and Reppu realy doesn't intrests me....
What I like on lots of their planes is how the charger is on the outside, (too bad only a few of these planes is atually good)

Depends on the BR really. For the most part i havent had too much trouble but its around the 5.0-6.0 range is where it can be a bit tough
I have a screan shot of me playing the F4U-4B and the whole team being at sea level, we lost and I of curse told the team what I think (and to see trash on fire) It was worth laughing at them tbh
