Hi Phly, not sure whether you will see this post but I´ll try to bring up one topic anyway. I was facing you when you were flying the Ki-83 like at least a week ago in HR battle over New Guinea. The footage is not included in this video by the way. I was one of those guys who you call "Stratosphere climbers" and honestly I don´t really understand why you do that. You are negatively talking about people who are trying to fly the planes the way they should be flown. I was flying the P-47M which has engine that starts to work above 4.000m altitude and it receives "the second breath". I also know that majority of Japanese planes do lose their power above 7.000m altitude. I have started to pick up the "lazy and slow" Japanese planes from 8.000m altitude because of almost all of the enemies (including you) were struggling hard to reach even the 7.000m altitude. This is what I call a strategy. A working strategy based on the knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of your surroundings. Please could you tell me why you seem to be one of the haters who are calling out the people who take the time to climb? Because of I don´t think I´m doing anything wrong by getting altitude advantage over the enemies. Thanks and cheers
If you flying a stucka or smt . with a Bad engine you cant climb that high. And when all enemies are on this high you just cant do anything and that dont make much fun. But your correct everybody can play his tactic.

I consider "hiding in the high altitude" as a standard strategy as well and here is why: A) By flying into high altitude you force the enemy fighters to reach low pressure thin air that makes them much less maneuverable therefore significantly easier for picking by the turret gunners. You gain advantage by lowering the advantage of your opponent. B) By running away you can gain the time that is required by ground forces to capture some zone and win the game. This is a mechanic implemented by game developers based on the requirements by the game designers. If they didn't want this to happen then they would not implemented it this way. If you don't like it then it is perfectly fine, but do not blame the players for following the game mechanics. Just go anywhere on the internet and tell your feedback to the developers.

The Ki 83 had fast IJA cannons. 850 rpm each for the 20mm, 450-600 rpm 30mm. Firing range was 900m for both. I would prefer the more reliable but slower IJN cannons, myself. The Navy shells are much heavier with better M/V too. Agility was exceptional, even fast. High altitude performance is great too, after the fixes. Protection was good. If the wing tanks are vulnerable, don't fill them to intercept B-29s. Perhaps more ammo could be added with the lighter fuel load. My day interceptor version would be lightened even more by leaving out the 2nd man. It's best strength besides speed was sustained climb: 10km in 10 minutes!! That means this plane is a natural interceptor.

Great video as always Phly! As for that F84 that didn't die after you set him on fire, you can put a fire out by killing your engine. It's a bit RNG reliant, but works a good amount of the time. That may be what happened there.
The Big Guns Combo! M4A3 (105mm) with the F6F Hellcat equipped with the 298mm Tiny Tim Missiles! Both of these weapons are absolutely devastating when used right. The 105 absolutely destroys other tanks in its tier. (When it pens.) The Tiny Tims are catastrophic against any vehicle on the ground. (Extra points for Double kills) If you think this is a good combo, like this comment!
I'd like to see the Fw. 189 Uhu if you can, but that isn't in the tech tree. If not, I would like to suggest the KV-1S. Love the videos, keep up the awesome work!
