Shad Fishing. Here you will find the Shad Rig I use and some Shad Fishing tips as well !Shad are so fun to catch because they fight extremely aggressive for a small fish. This shad rig is mostly used from a boat, but can be modified and drift fished along a bank!

I've never experimented with swimbait, but I'm sure a small swimbait with a tail would work great!
Where in the world are you? I fish in the American and Sacramento rivers for Shad, and even though they run together you need a different presentation for each one. That is a lot of connections and knots to go wrong.

I totally agree with you, there are a lot of connections, but with my experience I haven't had an issues with knots breaking or lines getting tangled. However, I am fishing from a boat, so it's much easier to keep all the lines where they need to be.

Use a sabiki rig
Sabiki has way to many hooks which will make it snag almost instantly.
