    Really appreciate this update and the previous res delete video. This is perfect for me. I'm an occasional sporty driver and when I am I want my Cupra to sound the part as much as it acts the part but when I just want to be a sedate Cruiser I don't want my car sounding like a beast.

    Yay! Glad your happy with it now. Mine sounded like this from when i got it done since it was almost at 5k miles. Iv realised sports is the best mode for pops and bangs and manual shifts will give you pops and bangs

    Mad difference haha I didn't buy my cupra new but less than 500 miles of me owning it has a res delete and induction 😂👍

      I got mine in the summer, sorta broke the bank on it but I just havent stopped spending on upgrades since the moment I got it home. . I've fucked Christmas for the family but I'm a very happy driver.

    Getting this done at progressive parts next week, this video pushed the decision along, it sounds alot better even if its not a huge difference. I'll see how I get along with it, if I want abit more noise I may get a backbox delete aswell

      It’s just enough for me, just a shame the GPF stifles the gearshift sounds. Backbox delete would help that but probably too much drone for me personally to daily. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it either way!

    Thanks for the update! I had the artificial sound turned down to 10% in both sports and Cupra modes. I was originally going to disconnect it but read it is somewhat linked to the pops and bangs 🤷‍♂️. Agree the guys at progressive are absolutely first class.

      Interesting, I do think its a bit loud though in the Cupra mode especially with the artificial audio. Was it a Carista change or VCDS ? I need to do a few videos on stuff like that. Progressive are awesome, they were kind enough to sponsor the cost of the res delete for me last year and I’m looking forward to working with them again when I can.

      Progressive did it for me when they fitted the res delete. You can definitely hear more pops and bangs with it turned down. Sports mode in manual gives the most noise though.

    I've just done this on my 290 after watching this . Seems a bit quiet at the moment , so hope after some miles it gets noiser. But it's a daily so didn't want anything to noisy

    I've got an Cupra St300 (pre-gpf) 67 plate with a res delete. I get quite a lot of noise from just this, but not many farts. I've got a Mk7.5 golf r estate quad exhaust going on soon which I'm told makes the difference as it has less baffles in the boxes. Hopefully this makes it sound as it should, otherwise will go full system :D

    As long as it does not cause any drone inside I think its good value for money. I dont know how it is in the UK but in Germany you have to pay at least 2.000 € for a flap exhaust system, the best ones are around 3.000 € :D

      That one was definitely far more savage, the GPF really takes away from it, but at least it eliminates the drone!

    Good video! Should maybe see about getting a microphone to record the sound better?
    Mine is pre-GPF, but its a Manual so no DSG farts for me :-(
    Still going to get the res-delete anyway. Progressive Parts get thumbs up from me too!

      Was going to record out the back with my lav mic, but it didn’t pick up too well. Its not too lary in the cabin anyway. Will be getting a new gopro soon as the channel picks up steam so hopefully get some better exhaust shots!

    What made you exchange the Cupra 300 for a 290? The 300 had a louder exhaust and a pan roof

      @@lukewilcock4922 They offered me a really good price on the 300 at the end of the lease (around £18k) but I was in the process of switching jobs so ended up buying a cheap daily for a while.

    I have the same with no res delete, only dsg farts really first gear to second and second to third, fully planted on the gas, still a-bit muted i find i hear them more when the engine is in sport and the dif is in cupra i think when in cupra its alot of inside speaker noise

      Yeah Cupra mode pumps in a lot of sound - my friend has an identical one to me with a standard exhaust and you can tell the difference in the overall volume and the frequency of the DSG farts but its definitely not a crazy difference.

      @@ItsDanLatham yeah mines done 23k so sounds abit better on the dsg farts, opf kills it tho compared to the 300 haha, sport mode and cupra diff is the best mode and windows down to hear them dsg farts in the 290 facelift i think haha

      This is fine for MOT as its well within noise levels and does not effect emissions 👍🏻

      Only a few. You have to be careful putting this much strain on the gearbox, and keep your warranty in mind. Not something you should do regularly!
