Great videos! My experience is that I called Aaron on a Friday and the lady told me he was swamped as they were in the middle of an event, so she took my number and said he'd call me the next day. Sure thing , HE DID. That's totally awesome as my experience is most dealers don't do what they say they will. We had a great conversation about bikes, builds, exhaust systems, etc and costs. He confirmed some things I already knew and shared a lot of info that's not on the videos. I don't know if i'll get there so they can do my upgrades but I sure as hell appreciated picking his brain! They are head and shoulders above the rest in my book of shops and dealers!

The components of the M8 motor have to work together to build volumetric efficiency. The camshaft is the "heart of beast". Proper selection is critical. Awesome video. Thanks !

I went with the Screaming Eagle horsepower cam since I'm still under warranty, and running Vance n Hines Powerriding with this cam so much Duals, with Rinehart slip on's, my dyno chart looks identical to yours nice flat torque all accross n the horsepower kicks in then the torque drops off for a min , but Im 117 Torque n 103 horsepower, but that bike is very very loud idling n getting on n off the throttle, it feels like a hotrod engine ! pulls very hard with arms pulling while pushing you back in the seat, roll on passing power whereever you need n want it just twist that throttle n hold on, this is in a new 21 Roadgilde limited, i thought about going with SnS 475 cam after warranty is up but I'm enjoying this cam so much that I may stick with it

Great information in this video. I really value seeing one change at a time. It would have been great if the stock baseline was done with each exhaust and air cleaner as a stage 1. That way when we look at the curves we can truly see what’s happening from the cams only. It would seem like half the gains are probably coming from exhaust but we are not able to tell. Even with that said this is great information that really isn’t available like this elsewhere. You guys rock!

@@ronhernandez9198 I had the same problem, I knew Feuling made awesome Twin Cam and M8 cam kits so I pulled the trigger on the 505/515 and I absolutely love them, I found no loss of power down low, and once the bike hits 3000RPM it really winds up. They are a great set of cams!. I'll make some videos viewable on my CZcams channell so you can hear them and see how the bike works. At the time of the videos the bike had an S&S teardrop intake, Vance and Hines stainless 2-1 upsweep exhaust, Vance and Hines FP3Z tuner and of course the Feuling 505/515. The bike is currently having the S&S 1250 with S&S 10.5:1 forged flat top pistons, Feuling Endurance valve springs, Feuling HP+ lifters, Hammer Performance solid push rods, Buell bronze oil pump gear and a load of other parts, so I will have to add some updated videos soon!

@@ronhernandez9198 Thanks Ron! Since the videos I added I also added 13 inch progressive 490 sport series shocks, Progressive adjustable monotube cartridge fork kit, daytona steering damper, 10 inch mx tbars, saddlemen stepup seat, carbon fiber side panels and fenders, HD customizable tach (600 different colour for the needle, the rpm gauge and the analog speedo gauge so the colour combos are endless) that also shows miles to empty, fuel gauge, miles to empty, gear indicator and so on. I also have a master cylinder fuel gauge which is a replacement master cylinder cap for thr sportster master cylinder that has a small lcd screen on it to show fuel level so I have 2 fuel gauges, a oil temp/level lcd dipstick, Screamin Eagle fat plug wires and Screamin Eagle plugs, TMF chain conversion, mid controls, 1/4 turn throttle, Brembo 11.5 inch floating rotors with black aluminum carriers for the front and rear, rebuffini and speed merchant brackets to fit the larger rear rotor with Brembo radial calipers and the bracket for the Brembo radial caliper up front, Brembo pads, XR1200 master cylinder, braided brake lines, Barnett extra plate clutch pack, Barnett billet pressure plate, Barnett 25% diaphram spring, 1FNGR easy pull levers. I 110% needed them after doing the 25% spring because there was about 75lbs of pull on the clutch lever and those levers made it so easy, I couldn't reccomend them enough. I sadly got rid of the v&h stainless 2-1 after I got tboned by an old lady in November and now have a Bassani road rage 3 stainless 2-1 on it, but the v&h 2-1 was absolutely amazing (as I am sure you can see/hear in the videos I posted). I also put a new industrial gray tank on the bike to match the carbon fiber panels, and I replaced my cam chest with a gloss black HD rail collection chopped cam chest, gloss black HD rail collection primary case, gloss black HD derby cover, gloss black HD rail collection lower rocker boxes, gloss black HD pushrod tubes and gloss black HD tappet covers, flat black HD upper rocker boxes and swapped all the silver hardware on the motor/trans/frame and accessories to a kit that HD makes for grade 8 black replacement hardware. I am swapping a thundermax ecm in to replace the FP3 since the motor is far from stock now, and some other little odds and ends to pick at. I have only had the bike for like 18 months at this point haha
What is the story on your bike? I think I may have a problem, and yes! I am aiming to have the baddest Sporty around. I live on an island in Canada and most the HD's around here are stage 1 or stock for the most part. The bike was getting lots of positive feedback before I did all that work, it should shut up some Sportster haters too hahaha. One thing I will say is a lot of people said my bike sounded like v8 race motor because of how it sounded and revved with the 2-1 and cams, the videos really don't do justive to either!

FukTheNewCommentSystem The cams runs out. All of these cams are designed to run with the stock compression ratio to produce a quick torque curve. If a larger cam with more duration is used the bottom will suffer but you’ll gain HP. The best way to achieve both is to match the cam to compression and motor displacement.

The M8 has shown to have minimum runout so far. With that being said every motor varies but you'll most likely spec out for the 465 Gear Drive. Hey Guys - outstanding video; have watched it several times. With it being October 2021 now: pertaining to stock 114's, for bolt-in cams...How's the Wood WM8-22X and WM8-22XE cams compare to the 4 cams in this video from April 2019? And, the Cycylerama CR-480 cam? And the MHP-485? All these Cams are nice, and of course choice of exhaust system, baffles, and Tuning play in here. Thanks!!! Tom M.
I actually choose the S&S 465c Cam (full cam chest kit) for my '21 RGS, RDRS, Stage-2 114 (S&S 2-1 Sidewinder w/catalyst; Fuel Moto/K&N # 3956 ventilator style but wider AC; Dynojet PV3b Tuner w/map from Fuel Moto. Additional: Trask M8 checkvent and HD Fan added to oil cooler). Nice Cam, good lope at idle, and runs excellent ; strong torque 2000-5000 rpm (torque hits early, around 1750-ish rpm), and averages 46.4mpg on the highway at 70-75 mph cruise. Leaning towards the Wood 22XE but curious about the MHP 485 cam. Undecided right now. Also, I have new in the box Carillo 10.75:1 forged pistons (4.125" bore) and a spare 114 Top End (2450 miles); thinking about building a 120 cu.in. (4.125" bore x stock 4.500" stroke) engine and possibly some mild head work.

In the far future I may go 103 or 106 but that's about it not planning on heads or head work unless I get a steal of a deal. Ride solo 90% of the time. I have some videos if you care to go through them. I dont baby the bike whatsoever. A lot of highway runs and the occasional dig.(in Mexico of course.) My reason for asking about the specific cams is because s&s had a dyno sheet comparing the stock 103 cam against the HP and MR I feel as though my bike already puts out more than a stock 103. I'm not expecting to see 100hp/100ftlb out of the 96 but if I can get close to that with the hp103 then I'd be happy. Considering the measly 68hp that the 96 puts out factory. I understand the dyno sheet I see how and where the cams make their power. On top of that, i plan on either regearing the bike 32/70 or 30/70 so low rpm will not be much of an issue. My biggest concern is that of their numbers throughout the graph. As far as inflation of numbers and it doesnt indicate whether the 103 had a stage 1 with the cams or if everything was left factory other than the cams. Which is what makes me a little sceptical.

With you leaving your displacement and heads etc. On a 96" these may be a little much. It will feel lazy until wide open throttle. Sounds like you have a strong runner already so something like a 551 would really put some pep in it without going into the top end.

Jarrod Wilson this sounds odd but the larger motors will usually get equivalent or better mileage at higher speeds. It depends on your tune and the MPH you are running. Either way it’s not a worry for HWY riding...stock M8 or a 128 M8 and you’ll be refueling after 4 hours on the Highway. Every hour cruising 75-90 equals a quarter tank. Try it out.
