    So i literally have the exact same bike and replaced with exact same carb. The carb fuel intake port was smaller just like one you did. After your idling video could you take bike out and ride it? I changed mine last week and once in gear and giving it throttle it just sputters and much beyond idle has 0 power.

      It’s been a few years since I swapped the carb but I don’t remember it running bad right after installing it. I hardly ever ride that quad anymore. I should go get it out of storage just to run it around.

      OMG I'm having the EXACT same issue. How did you fix it.

      I used this quad a couple years ago to tow a trailer around the yard and it ran fine. The biggest problem is it’s exhaust is rusted out so it’s really loud.

      I had same problem figured out that it was not getting enough air. cut the lip off of the intake tube under the gas tank. left the flat piece where the hoses go through@@MindofXanadoo

    Do you have the link for the carb you bought off eBay?

      I just checked and it’s no longer in my history on eBay. I don’t know who I bought it from?

    How were you able to get the old carb out and the new one in? The gas tank is in the way to disconnect /connect all the stuff on the top of the carb.

      It’s been a while since I put it on and don’t recall having to tank off. I believe the new carb had something weird with the top and I just reused the stock part. The air box boot is off so I believe I R&R’d it to give me room to pull the old carb off and install the new one. The boot could be installed after.

    Can you do a video of your vacuum lines?

      I actually have it sitting in my shop now so I could do that pretty easily. I’ll try for tonight or tomorrow.

    Are the timberwolf carb the same as a tri moto 225dx

      I don’t know off the top of my head? I suspect they would be similar and likely interchangeable. Check out Babbitt’s online parts diagrams and compare part numbers for the carbs on the two different machines.

    What adjustment did you make to get the carb to stop leaking fuel from bottom of carb having same issue

    • @thatalaskaguy
      @thatalaskaguy  Před 3 lety

      I couldn’t get the stock carb to stop leaking so I replaced it with a brand new carb off eBay. I also had to replace my fuel petcock with a new one. My stock carb had too much corrosion to be rebuilt. Now it no longer leaks.

      I got it used quite a few years ago. I think it’s somewhere sound a ‘94-‘96.
