- I have been wanting to get this 1983 Yamaha 225dx going for quite a while now. Finally got the motivation to get it done. Bought a Yamaha Timberwolf to do an engine swap!

So basically the three yamaha ytm Tri-moto’s you got are the same but just some different parts & some have addons to them like on of them is chain- driven couple of them are shaft driven with reverse & one of them have rear suspension
All 3 are similar but the frame is different on the 225dx as that one has rear suspension and the other 2 are hard tails. They all use a similar engine just differently configured.

cheap getto fix put the motor in top dead center pull out the timing chain tensioner weld a small socket on the end... instant timing chain replacment and still work auto

Some people swear by them others hate them. I don’t have a lot of experience with them myself. I’ve only owned this one for a short time, I’m planning to do a test drive video on it at some point this week.
Hey rocky powersports do you know why my 2002 Yamaha wolverine 350 4x4 I cleaned the carburetor and whenever i give it to mucb throttle it bog but the. Sometimes it will rev my spark plug is black i think yhat has something to do with it
Does your 350x have reverse?
No the 350x is a 6 speed manual clutch with no reverse.
So basically all of your three wheelers are automatic except your honda atc 350x is a manual?
The only automatic three wheeler I have is the polaris scrambler 250. The 350x is a standard with a manual clutch. The others are all standard with a automatic clutch, so you still shift them just don’t have to use a clutch.
Right which most of them are called semi-automatic, but what I call it is like a combination of a half automatic half manual since you shift manually & the clutch works automatically without you working it

The Honda atc 350x is a four stroke I know the 350r is a two stroke.
It kinda sounds similar to the Moto 4 200
Same engine pretty much. The moto 4 200 would swap right into these.
Well the shaft driven ones anyways.
I got some newer bikes can am outlander and 700 grizzly and I still rather my 200m trike and any older model atv easy fixing goes a long way these can ams are all plastic..
