IM BACK TO CONFIRM AFTER FOLLOWING THIS VIDEO - a little brake cleaner in the intake fired right up. Perfect video. Im just tickled pink. Quick story time - I grew up in and emancipated away from at 15, foster care. I dont have a dad. This video was able to teach me. I appreciate you sir. At 39 it meant alot to me to fix this quad of mine so the kids can use it another season. I usually pay people to just fix stuff and since having kids I have really invested in learning things myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Great news. I've used CZcams plenty of times for things similar to this. Hence why I have decided to film these videos. I'll have another one on an old quad coming soon. I appreciate your support.
Excellent video, followed it to replace my one way starter clutch on a YFB250 Yamaha Timberwolf from 1993. However, I believe I am off time. Motor turns over, have spark, Im not sure what to do next - any advice sir?
@@averagejohnhorseman prior to replacing the one way (this is all NEW territory for me, video was excellent haha!) clutch, it didnt have any fuel issues - Ill try some ether later tonight and report back (if you are okay with that!)
@@averagejohnhorseman brake cleaner was in my shed already, and it fired right up! Carb is racing a little higher RPM, now to learn how to adjust the carb haha

Funny you talk about that old machine. It was a birthday gift for you and your brother. It’s close to birthday time again real soon!❤️
I wish I had half of the stuff that old machine had seen on film.

Thanks for watching. If it will fire on some starting fluid. It will be a fuel delivery problem. If not it maybe a timing issue.
