Strymon Iridium with pedals into power amp into real 1x12 cab!

- The strymon iridium sounds great into PA system with his own cab simulations..but here I’m tryin to get the real amp feel using the iridium as a preamp into a power amp (Mooer baby bomb) into a real cab! Quite happy with the result ! Also..I used a Timmy overdrive and a fender spring reverb pedal

I use the Iridium with a Orange pedalbaby into guitarcabs all the time and it works perfect. You can put a null-IR on one side so the second output still has an IR to go to into a console..
This works for me way better than any FRFR cabinet.
Hey you mean you can set the iridium’s left out with IR (to go direct to mixer) then right out without IR (to go to poweramp then actual cab)??

I run an origin effects 'slide rig' into a Hotrod Compact OD then strymon delay and reverb into my iridium (Cab Sim off) then stereo out into two pedal babies (let and right channels) then orange 1x12s for bigger venues and it works great - tons of power huge stereo tone. Because of the modular nature of the set up I can use a fold-up trolly for both cabs and walk the rest from the car to the stage, easy - not a big 'lug' at all (and I'm 74 years young)! For smaller venues I just use one pedal baby into one 1x12 - no stereo but great all the same - I have used the iridium straight to out the desk for some small venues so I get stereo and this works exceptionally well with all the variations in amp/cab IR. So many options = much fun!!!
Do you like pedalbaby still? Any overheating or similar issues?

Great demo and playing! I’m considering doing something like this to take to gigs where speaker cabs are back lined but I don’t want to bring my tube amp. What are your thoughts about doing this for a live gig?
Thank you! I think you can do this for live gigs and it’ll work, iridium really sounds like a real amp, maybe you can find something better than the Mooer power amp, but it will get the job done

Francesco Gatta : First off,brother, thank you for the reply. I’ll agree since I’ve been servicing and building custom amps for over 20 years. Not amp kits either hand built! A few solid state amps I do actually like and some of these preamps are getting pretty damn good! The only downside is carrying stuff but some guys are such good players that nothing phases them. I’m so picky that I know what I like. Doesn’t have to be boutique or expensive just feel and sound good. Wonderful chords you’re doing,by the way. You look younger and don’t know where you’re located but you would’ve loved to have seen guys like Les Paul when he was around. All those guys Tony Mottola, Bucky Pizzarelli and so on.
