We made a tiiiiny mistake for Estonia's commentator at 0:32. That should of course be the lovely Marko Reikop.
We double-checked all these names at 2:30am, that's where we went wrong. 🥲
And it is from ETV, not EER. But sometimes mistakes do happen

@@sundeiwastaken And so they have 3 channels: ETV and ETV 2 broadcasting in Estonian; and ETV + broadcasting in Russian.

I’m a huge San Marino fan generally and even I don’t think they deserved to make the final lol
It was so strange to me to see San Marino's reaction (and others as well, to a lesser extent), I thought all commentators react like the Romanian one. Complaining that your country didn't qualify seems like something you'd do in a discussion after the show, not in the moment, but maybe that's just because what I'm used to as a Romanian.
Especially with the song they chose 💀 like, did they REALLY expect to make it?? In what world??

San Marino RTV propably wanted to be like BBC since the contest is in Great Britain 😅
The Slovenian commentator changed the second verse of Carpe Diem from "ljubili se in se igrali" (love each other and play) to "in se potem dobro naspali" (and get a good night's sleep afterwards). 😂

I love how, even though it was VRT who chose the contestant this year for Belgium, RTBF is still showing the contest and are still happy for him
Of course RTBF shows the contest. It's the same country and if the belgian entry is flanders, the walloons support it too and the other way around.
You guys probably think that the Estonian commentator didn't really care about Alika qualifying, but I can guarantee that after the broadcast he downed about 25 bottles of vodka to celebrate!

They have English subtitles. Basically just saying that with the last announcement Denmark will not be in the final this year. The most important bit here was the tone.
It would be nice to also show the reaction of the Australian commentators to the Cyprus qualification because Andrew is from Australia and was in their national selection
I can't exactly remember what they said to cyprus qualifyinh but I do know that joel called him "Australia's back up plan" during the postcard

Can you explain more in detail, what happened with Victor and the Greek supervisor (idk if it's the right word)? Simply, I heard that something bad happened between Victor and people that were supposed to support him.
@@fyrhunter_svkIt's actually ERT's fault, Victors' selection was a bit rigged bc ERT actually chosen him by its own bc he is descendant of one of the most Greek shipowners...Even though ERT's fault actually begins with the final 7 songs in our internal selection who was the most random songs ever, they all were forgettable mid tempo ballads, I mean this year was such a mess for Greece, just a fiasco...

The language of invaders and war criminals. Don't think this should still be featured in Eurovision as long as the war on Ukraine hasn't stopped even if they belong to other countries.

actually at 1:05 van de Veire didn't say 'then I was right all along' but he said: 'his face! So cool' or something, but it was in dialect.
We double-checked it with a Flemish friend of ours and you're absolutely right! We thought we might have heard something like "dan zat ik toch dus goe", but that's not it. We have edited it. :)
@@escdiscord Haha it's fine, it kinda sounded like that so I understand :) it wasn't perfectly dutch, it was more in an Antwerp-dialect so it wasn't easy to understand

@@Alina_1127 No it's because Estonia has a significant russian speaking population, just like Finland does
Estonian national broadcaster ERR has three channels: the main channel ETV in Estonian, then ETV2 for more niche programs and then there's ETV+ which is in Russian so that everything would also be accessible for our Russian speaking population. There they also broadcast Eurovision with Russian commentary.
