I'm like, of all the Monty Python sketches he could have picked first rofl...
yup, right into the deep end^^
i couldn't believe he went for this as his first time lmao
Lol a few people have recommended it đ·
@@AfterWorkReactions ok, well you went in at the deep end lol, try the Spanish Inquisition sketch next, or kick back and belly laugh at the Life of Brian :)
@@AfterWorkReactions Some people have a twisted sense of humour. If you want genuinely funny MP the place to start is the Life of Brian movie, then work through the first 3 TV series and their Holy Grail film. And Now For Something Completely Different, the German episodes and Live At Hollywood Bowl are (mostly) rehashes of sketches done better elsewhere and pretty much for fans only, while their final TV series and Meaning of Life movie are still good but a lot less laugh out loud funny. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole they also made 6 or 7 albums and at least three books all of which contain a mixture of new material and rehashed TV/movie stuff.
This was meant to be the most disgusting scene ever made. From your reaction, it appears to have worked lol
Yes it was pretty gross đ€ą
Yanks are young
Remember , sh*tting out of windows was a thing here in the 1600s .
Terry Jones wrote the sketch with the idea of creating something in âthe worst possible tasteâ. None of the other Pythons liked it. About a month later John Cleese called Terry and told him he thought they should do it after all. He figured John had realized the waiter had all the funny lines and decided he wanted to play him. Cleese also came up with the famous âwafer-thinâ line, making it the only sketch he and Jones ever wrote together. (Graham Chapman and Cleese were usually writing partners).
Even Quentin Taratino was reported to have said he was repulsed by this scene.
@@pjtufty66 at least we didn't just shit in the corner of the room, or in the corridor, like the French did. đ
Iâm so sorry but your reaction was hilarious.
Monty python is definitely not just like that
Monty Python were mocking gluttony and food snobbery in this scene. We can all laugh in disbelief at food served in a bucket until at least we go to KFC.........
Lol very true đ
Itâs come to that in our society, food is served in a bucket a la KFC lol
Watching you trying not to be sick makes this reaction the funniest. đđđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
đ·
this is the kind of reaction Phython was looking for for this type of sketch
I can imagine đ
It makes sense when you know it represents Gluttony in the film The Meaning of Life! Your reaction was priceless!
This seems like a strange place to start đ
All you need to know about Monty Python is that they influenced pretty much every sketch show and every "alternative" comedian in the last 40 years.
This was a request from someone đ· I didn't know it was like this
I can only apologise on their behalf. No, this isn't what Python was all about đ
Meaning of Life was the first thing I watched from them hahhaha
This was made ten times funnier because of Josh nearly puking!
"Gaston! A bucket for monsieur!" :)
I've always found the Mr Creosote scene hysterically funny, but I can fully understand your queasiness.
Your reaction had me in stitches đ
I grew up England watching a lot of Monty Python, but your reaction just had me on the floor in tears of laughter, could not stop!
80 litres of pea &. ham soup were used in that sketch.
đ·đ·
Which turned rancid after being left under the studio lights all day. I donât think there was much need for those extras to act after a while đ€źđ€Łđ€Ł
@@AfterWorkReactions check out fact number 8 to see who else almost chundered watching that scene. www.mentalfloss.com/article/70508/15-fun-facts-about-monty-pythons-meaning-life
The look on your face is priceless , Just a wafer thin mint ,classic line.
Bro... your reaction to this was funnier than the sketch itself... I've literally got a headache now from laughing so much.
CLASSIC !!!!!
The woman is down on the floor cleaning up his mess while he's repeatedly vomiting on her đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Canât believe thatâs where you started!? The holy knight or clips from the holy grail.. They are not all like that lol
I have had this requested to me đ·
I must admit I have never met any British person who doesn't get at the end of the meal, oh go on just one wafer thin mint reference.
wommie Every. Single. Time. Itâs only waf-fer thin đ
It's Waffer thin
A criticism on excess greed
Or the "fuck off I'm full" âșïž
HA! HA! HA! HA! HE! HE! H HE! HO! HO! I'M I'm pissing myself at your reaction bud , priceless đ
That was freaking hysterical. I started laughing before the Monty Python video started when you said the Mr. Creosote sketch was your first introduction into Monty Python. LOL
Most Monty Python is not like this, this is their most disgusting sketch..... Maybe it's tied with the Live Organ Transplant sketch.
You really should have started on some other Monty Python skits or movies. The Life of Brian or something from The Holy Grail. :D
It was a request bud I didn't choose this one đ
@@AfterWorkReactions It may not have been good for you but I think most people loved seeing you react to it. đ
Yes, "Live Organ Transplants" skit is probably the second most awful thng they did next to this one, though the Eric Idle song is just superb.
đđđđđđ I'm dying at your reaction! Please done let that put you off its a British classic and that's not the norm for monty honestly try another clip
I will for sure thanks man.
You might not have found it funny but I found your reaction f***ing hilarious.
Anything Monty Python has ever done is amazing tbh.The Meaning of lifeâ , which is what this sketch is from, has quite a different vibe to their other work, Iâd suggest watching their sketch show âMonty Pythonâs Flying Circusâ as well as âLife Of Brianâ and âThe Holy Grailâ you might enjoy them more.
I don't think he cared! lol
I will check those out thanks man đ
@@AfterWorkReactions all the Flying Circus videos were removed from CZcams, but every episode is on Netflix. There were 4 series made from 1969 - 1974. I started watching it in 1987 when they repeated them on the BBC. It's one of my favourite shows ever, but it's definitely an acquired taste. Sometimes it's hilarious, other times it's just plain weird!
that's British humour for you!!
Watching Josh nearly puking! was hilarious! That British humour at its best! lol.
Woof, you really did start at the deep end of Monty Python, didn't you? I'm glad you've enjoyed some of their more typical stuff since! Monty Python ranges from biting satire to pure absurdity, most of it excellently done, with more than a few running gags. It's been an absolute joy over the last few days watching you react to various elements of British comedy, a bit like sharing them with a friend, and the fact that you somehow have avoided exposure up til now just makes it that much more special. I look forward to your reactions to full episodes and movies, I'm sure you'll enjoy, well, most of them. Stay safe!
Other Monty Python things to watch: Argument sketch, Dead Parrot sketch, Nudge, Nudge sketch, Travel Office sketch, Cheese Shop sketch. When I think of others, I'll add them on other Monty Python reactions you do. Get to work and enjoy. LMAO
I'll do some more soon bud thanks for the recommendations đ
@@AfterWorkReactions "Four Yorkshiremen" first though per my other comment. You'll laugh your ass off, I swear it. Keep up the good work!
You missed Upper Class Twit Of The Year
"Minister of funny walks" sketch always made me crack up, but the argument sketch is a classic and that's come up in life a few times.
I love the argument sketch đ
Ministry of silly walks is classic đ€Ł
Upper-class twit of the year is also great đ
I don't know what's funnier the sketch or you trying not to throw up đđ lord this reaction almost killed me đđ
Ahh was absolutly creased at this, loved your reaction
P.s it isnt all like that it's very different all around
Thanks bro, I'll be checking more out soon đ
Your reaction to this made it even funnier, I love MP and love this scene
'Just one more little wafer.' All Brits of a certain age know this line. Enjoyed watching you watch this:)
đ đ đ đ đ
Edit: you should definitely react to Fawlty Towers though.
The Germans.
It's on my list man thank you!
@@AfterWorkReactions Any Fawlty Towers is great. Not sure the Germans is the funniest episode (I'd go with The Kipper and the Corpse or Basil the Rat) but it is the most famous for "that" scene, and infamous for another.
I think you'll love faulty towers
I was expecting your reaction xD no they're just weird. This is probably the grossest out of all their stuff. You're safe after this.
Thanks bro đ
Josh my man! You deserve a medal for not throwing up after watching that "blind" not expecting what was going to happen.
Just watched your reaction again, my friend.
My sides and chest are, genuinely, aching from laughing and tears were running down my face.
I have made a diary note to watch your reaction again in another 9 months' time...
Took 11 months but I have returned and I am crying with laughter at your expressions, especially at the end. BRAVO,,,,
I cant believe i missed this reaction dude you were ON FORM in this one đ€Łđ you had me laughing so much đ€Łđđ€Ł "the splattering, this was nasty"
Absolutely hilarious.......bravo Monty Python...
I couldn't breathe watching you react to him throwing up. I haven't seen this sketch in ages but the part where he repeatedly vomits all over the cleaning lady always gets me too
I recommend watching "and now for somthing completely different" its essentially a best of of their sketches
Was almost crying with laughter watching your reaction.
Iâll say this about Monty Python. 50% of their stuff I donât find funny at all, and 50% is literally comedy genius. Donât let this sketch put you off. Try argument clinic or ministry of silly walks đ
Welcome to British humour. You're welcome :0)
I watched this while eating. No problem :)
That was the most extreme edge of Monty Python. Almost everything else is ground-breaking and and comedic genius. Life of Brian, Holy Grail and not to mention all the classic sketches like Dead Parrot ...
Also, as a 56-year-old man, I'm feeling a bit of an existential crisis when I have to try and Explain Monty Python. Where does the time go?
Hilarious. One of the most quoted scenes of all times. âJust a little thin wafferâ, and the Noel Coward impression at the beginning. Priceless.
Then your reaction đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
đđđđđđ
Your reaction made this funnier.
Sorry for delighting in your discomfort.
"Well...thanks for the recommendation and errrrrrr.......we'll be in touch"
Short but sweet. The Fish Slapping Dance. Hilarious!
That's a bold choice, watching Mr Creosote! đ€Ł
It's a parody on 'over-consumption'!
You gone from not knowing about them, to never been able to forget them in two minutes.
Most of Monty Python's work is incredibly funny and Incredibly intelligent humour
This is English humour at it's best long live Monty Python
Oh man you have really brighten my day, your reaction has me in stitches , thankyou
It is usually in the shortlist for funniest comedy scenes ever. Each to their own.
It's funny that you chose this to be your first introduction to Monty Python.
Iâm so glad you uploaded this! Watching you struggle through this clip was FUCKING HILARIOUS!!
Thatâs your best reaction Iâve seen so far mate hahahahaha
I love how you went into this having no idea what you were about to see
I saw the title and thought, "Ah, Mr Creosote; this should be fun."
I was not disappointed!
Between the "Just one thin wafer" bit, and Josh's reaction trying not to turn 7 shades of green...
Got my day off to a good start.
Thanks mate.
I know everybody is saying that you should delve into Python to get the full experience and I would like to second, third, fourth that!
Love Python but I've always been adverse to this one props for hanging in there đâïž
'Giving birth' sketch from the same movie is absolutely hilarious and of course the ' live organ transplant' is grossly funny too..
Josh your reaction has just had me falling around laughing. Welcome to British humour....
I love the jaws-esque music, your reaction is hilarious should be viral, but you are a good sport canât believe someone recommended this scene though to get you into monty python
I can't believe you weren't laughing through this, that was one of the funniest sketches Monty Python ever did, genuine gold.
Me and my friends still quote the "wafer thin mint" and "fuck off I'm full" lines to this day and we first saw this over 20 years ago.
Just watching it this time, for probably the 100th time, still had my eyes watering it was so funny.
Ordering all that food and having it all mixed in one bucket... priceless.
I haven't laughed harder in a LONG time than when I just watched you watching this.
I saw this is the theatre when it came out in 1983. The whole audience was on the verge of gagging upon seeing this.
Life of Brian "Biggus Diccus" is the best Monty Python moment
The dead parrot sketch and the worst deadliest joke in the world scetch is brilliant
Even the fish were shitting themselves haha love it!
This is my all time favourite! Awesome work!
Life long fan...Rumor has it...two of the background actors actually blew chunks during the filming. I first watch this when I was 15....damn near lost it myself...
The Ministry of Silly Walks is a great one đ
The "It's only wafer thin..." moment is recreated by hundreds of people the length and breadth of Britain, and beyond, every day, to this very day. Especially when After Eight Mints are being offered.
If one has never referenced this sketch at least once in their life, are they even British? In fact it should be part of the citizenship test.
Youâve jumped right into the deep end here đđđ
I'm glad I got to experience your reaction. Its been a while since I have seen someone experience for the first time. Keep the videos coming.
The reaction was as good as the clip :D Thank you!
I first saw this when I was 11 or 12. Perfect timing for me. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.
The scene after this is one of the best. Where the waiter takes us on a journey.
I laughed at your reaction so much, I subbed! I couldn't wait for the explosion!
ROFLMAO your reaction was priceless, he ate all that stuff and the wafer thin mint took him over the edge and he exploded, soooo funny
For a better understanding of Monty Python, you might want to check out their first film, called And Now For Something Completely Different. It's basically them re-enacting many of their best sketches from their early series. You have such delights as The World's Funniest Joke, The Ministry of Silly Walks, and the legendary Parrot Sketch. Python arrived on British TV in the late 1960s, and as well as just doing surreal and silly sketches, they poked fun at the class system which was still a big thing then.
Monty python is usually surreal comedy, meaning of life is their 4th film (which this is from) and full of sketches based on life, death etc. the holy grail and life of brian are absolutely 1st class films
Life of Brian Biggus Dickus scene is classic, you can see the actors trying not to laugh.
This is the most hilarious Monty Python sketch ever.
For years, after friends and I saw this in college, if we had a really big meal Iâd say âWould yuuu liek a meeent? Itâs wahferr theeen.â
And weâd laugh so hard we could almost puke đ
Your reaction was absolutely hilarious!
They have a HUGE range.
Monte Python are from the future. They knew that people would do reaction videos on youtube and made this skit just for us to recommend to you!
Can't blame you on this one, man! LOL I'm glad you stuck with it.
Josh,
I don't know what was funnier, the video or your reaction. Excellent.
OMG, Iâve been out on the pop today and to come home and find this video....Iâve almost died laughing three times and had to press pause. Absolute gem.
Correction, four times.
The bit with the cleaning lady afterwards is funnier.
Watch monty python the black night scene, youâll find that a lot funnier
I will add that to my list thank you!
@@AfterWorkReactions the french taunting scenes are funny too, also there are funny scenes in life of brian too
That'll be the Black Knight, not black night :))
Hahaha what a place to start your Python journey, absolute gold mate.
Oh Josh, I loved the way you squirmed. That was funnier than what you watched. đ
My parents never saw any Monty Python. I showed them (and the family) this right after Thanksgiving dinner one year. They reacted much as you did. I was persona non gratis for a while.
This is one of my favorite Python bits!!! What really sells it for me, aside from the violent vomiting.... Is Cleeseâs unflinching maitre d đ wiping the menu!
I'm sure that Family Guy has paid homage to this scene, the episode where they take the medicine & see who vomits last wins the cake.
That was absolutely hilarious, best reaction I've ever watched đđđ
Having watched monty python since I was a kid (being English) watching Joshâs reaction to seeing this for the first time has made me laugh so hard itâs brought tears to my eyes đđ keep up the good work Josh đ
Your reaction made this fantastic đ
