That line "emancipate yourself from mental slavery, no one but ourselves can free our minds" still holds true even now. ❤❤❤❤
when i was a child in a troubled home and first heard it i was like wow, yes, so true
And always will !
Bob Marley became the emblem for freedom all over the world. Both South Africa and Zimbabwe used his music as rallying cries!
Soothe my soul...young guys seeing the meaning of strong character..not being afraid to stand up for what is right, fearing you'll lose friends..#jamaica Bob Marley #FrederickDouglass #suicide #stayalive
#ICOC for those who truly believe and follow Christ, stand up for Him..if you don't, we can see the hypocrisy you think you are hiding..Jeh knows!!
Bob Marley spoke openly about the biblical prophecies concerning the descendants of enslaved Africans. Very relevant to the current time.
THE GOAT!! Nobody has his electricity on stage. Watch more and when he’s not sitting down. He’s not just singing, he’s feeling it and preaching it. The best hands down!
Bob Marley....ambassador of good will...island vibe easy listening...Love the EVERYTHING about him!❤🏝
Another classic of his"Could You Be Loved".
If you want to hear another Marley performance which captures his spirit & mentality I strongly suggest War/No More Trouble live at the rainbow ❤💛💚
Very cool. He's my favorite musician..the real king of England and the World.
Soothe my soul...young guys seeing the meaning of strong character..not being afraid to stand up for what is right, fearing you'll lose friends..#jamaica Bob Marley #FrederickDouglass #suicide #stayalive

Great point, some people shy away from a message based on what people think but If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for any and everything.
Marley had words and so much emotion behind the words. "Could You Be Loved" is definitely another legendary sound.
YES..
My two favorites of his are Natural Mystic and So Much Trouble In The World
He believed LOVE could "cure" racism and hatred. Loved him. Now his family and the Wailers, his former band, continue to spread his music (plus their own) about love.
Here are some other Bob Marley live performances.
"Get Up, Stand Up" (Live at Munich, 1980)
"Trenchtown Rock" (Live at The Rainbow)
"Lively Up Yourself" (Live at The Rainbow)
"No Woman, No Cry" (Live at The Rainbow)
Bob Marley was a visionary. His songs were about empowering yourself. One of my favorites is "Get Up Stand Up".
That's right! Being born in 1969, I never thought we'd still be be fighting for equality and against racism. These topics in 2022 should only spoke of in our children's History classes.
Bob Marley was much more of a revolutionary than his current image and legacy projects. Check out "Concrete Jungle" "Dem Belly Full," "Exodus," "Caution," and he was a very spiritual man. He really had a message beyond "Jammin'" "Could You Be Loved", "Three Little Birds," etc.
Will never get tired of Bob Marley 💕💕💕
Bob Marley has been the true incredible spirit of reggae for so long. He has offered his songs and words for all of us. This was a very intimate version for this one. There is such a large amount of his beautiful work. Thank you for this...
I played this accidentally on a jukebox 30 yrs ago. Have loved it every day since
So happy to hear you and Bob Marley.❤ Too true.
The GOAT of Reggae!
His last live performance was ‘Redemption Song’ in Pittsburgh, my hometown. Please check out‘Burning and Looting’✌🏻
Bob!! There are sooooo many songs you can check out. You can't go wrong.
I know you guys are grown men, but I can't help but say Awww.. you guys are really growing up before our eyes..
Love me some Bob Marley, must play any of his songs.
Saint Bob 🙏💞 truth and love are powerful
OMGosh Tim! SOO sweet having that conversation about subscribers or whatever. I loved the interaction between you, both.
COO-OOL.
Since it's black history month, you should react to Billie Holiday song "Strange Fruit". It's a must!!!!!
Nina Simone’s is my favourite version.
I’m so glad you listened to this one. My favorite Bob Marley song. My favorite version is his acoustic version.
I can appreciate that they Hear not listen to the words of the music they select..
For the fact that they grew up not listening to wordly music they pay attention to the Message in the music..
I love this channel ❤
Bob Marley was one of the greatest to walk the planet. He touched so many and still does. Because he speak the truth
People who listen to Bob listen because the music is great, but just as much because the message gives hope about really hard truths... it's so powerful and beautiful
Such a powerful song!!!! Absolutely LOVE Bob Marley!!!!! I've been a fan since I was 14. Going on 37 years a fan now!!! 😉❤✌ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I had the opportunity to meet and photograph the Wailers in 2000 - I met them, in all places, at a laundromat in a college town in Northern California. We got to talking and I told them I was a photographer and they invited me to hang out with them for the day and come photograph the show later that evening. Wya was on the 2 remaining original members still playing with the band. It was an honor to spend a day with them - plus got some great photos.
Bob Marley never stopped speaking the truth. I was lucky enough to see him play this song in concert, him, his guitar, and a spotlight. I’ll never forget it, it hit me in the gut and heart.
I was just too young to see him but saw the Melody Makers when they were still very young. When Stephen Marley sang redemption song people were crying as his voice resembled Bobs.
@@lolalilolily well you saw the next best thing! I also saw the Wailers and I Threes with a very young Ziggy singing lead after Bob died……. Everyone was in shock ….. but in a good way. Bob’s kids are definitely carrying the torch. Peace to you
Bob Marley had a POWERFUL message. You also need to react to Peter Tosh. They were in a group called " The Wailers". Then, check out " Catch a Fire"
Old school Snoopy T - the throwback Jonny Cash T 💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥
If you visit Jamaica, go see his property. Its a spiritual experience!
Keith loved Bob Marley ♥ He had much respect for him. Thank you Tim and Fred Joan and Keith ✌
I saw this a hoped HARD for **No Woman, No Cry**
YO.
Love this song - and the Man In Black shirt is so appropriate!
3 Bob Marley songs you need to check out are:
Crisis
So much trouble in the world
Burning and looting.
A matter of fact, all his songs are great but these songs literally tells you whats happening now. The man was like a prophet.
I love how open you are to all kinds of music and cultures. I’m such a fan of you!!
This is my favorite Bob Marley song, and it contains my favorite lines from him: "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds."
I worked security at the bob Marley festival in the 90's it was amazing... his son Ziggy Marley was the headline
CURTIS MAYFIELD ✊🏾💯💥!!! A must during Black History Month. "Pusher Man", "Freddy's Dead", ""Superfly". He has a poetically political message like Marvin Gaye. R.I.P. to both 💫.
Absolutely agree. Curtis doesn't get enough recognition in recent times. His music was important. We need to ensure it's not forgotten.
Twins...UR wise beyond your years!
Brings tears
The world should never forget...equality freedom respect for all 😊😊😊🤗💋
BOB MARLEY FEAT LAURYN HILL "Turn your lights down low"
"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery...none but ourselves can free our minds"...This has always been my favourite quote of all time
Bob Marley a true biblical man

Only 16K new subscribers needed to get them to 900K subscribers. Come on!!!
I know every single lyric of this song. So powerful. Would love to hear your reaction to "Rainbow Country". It's a gem of a song that not many people know about. "Natural Mystic" is more well known but also a great song.
💜💜💜💜
Good one Twinz! - Here are a couple other suggestions for Black History Month...
Public Enemy - "Fight the Power"
Nina Simone - "I wish I knew How it Would Feel to be Free" (written after Dr. King's assassination)
Patti LaBelle "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - it was originally recorded for the movie The Wizard of Oz by Judy Garland, but she recorded her own rendition and performed it at an MLK Tribute in the 80s, has performed it many times and even performed it for Obama at the White House while he was in office. She's the Godmother of Soul and I promise she's a performance worth seeing!!)
Thanks!

Some other good songs for Black History Month
Bob Marley: Buffalo soldier
The O'Jays: Ship ahoy
Gil Scott Heron: The revolution will not be televised
PLEASE DO PRINCE"S SUPERBOWL PERFORMANCE. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT
Since you two like Phil Collins, I hope you will react to "I can't Dance" when he was with Genesis. You will see Phil play the guitar, smile & throw a kiss. Also since it's Black History Month how about some Isley Bros, Four Tops & the Temptations. Ball of Confusion is still true today. And it was Big Mamma Thornton who recorded "Hound Dog" first. Sister Rosetta Tharp is great too.
Quick suggestion guys. Bill withers! Ain’t no sunshine , of course , but lovely day is another great song.
Dope yall!!! Recommending ya'll react to "ONE MIC" by Nas.🤩 Super enlightening and conscious message through hip hop.
Just found you guys and subscribed to your channel. Can I make a request that you do a reaction video to Leftfield-Chant of a poor man. Thanks for the videos, great job guys!
A guy named Mitchell burnings did a cover of this song on x factor and it was amazing. It be awesome to see you guys thoughts on it.
Hey Dudes! Great man, great vision. I don't think I've heard you play any SUPERTRAMP. crime of the century, or Rudy, or school. From their first album.
Curtis Mayfield's Diamond in the Back. Rolls Royce's song Car Wash. There were many movies cast & directed by Black people in the '70s. Please play one of the songs.
Be Thankful for What You Got - William DeVaugh (I thought it was Curtis too)
For Black History month try Public Enemy, Third World, Fishbone, Bad Brains, Joan Armatrading, Charley Pride, or Janelle Monae.
If you like Jamaican music I suggest the following:
Kingston town - Albarosie
Here comes the hotstepper- Ini Kamoze
React to concrete jungle by bob Marley. The lyrics are real
Burning and loothin is the best ever one
This is truly my favorite of his. I love to say"Right On" to the everyone. There's a better version of this.
