His children are talented also. He is a legend 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲!!! R.I.P 🤍🕊💫 His last word as I understand, "Money cannot buy life." So true.
Bob Marley was put on this earth to spread peace, love and Goodwill to all. His children are carrying on his legacy and doing a fine job of it.
If only we could all get together and feel alright!
Indeed
Amen🙏🏼
Thanks Tim and Fred. You can’t go wrong with any songs by Bob Marley! 🔥 Sadly, another artist that died too soon. RIP 💔
My mother always loved Bob Marley's music, from the first time she ever heard it. She was a little old white lady, born in 1917, and would not have been the type of person you'd have thought of to enjoy Jamaican music, but she loved it! When she died, I even included a couple of his in the music that played during her viewing and the luncheon after her funeral. Her favorite was "Buffalo Soldier." All of them make you feel good, warm and happy inside. My favorites of his are this one and "Redemption Song." I don't know that there's ever been a better line written in any song than in that one: "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery; none but ourselves can free our minds."
Your mama had good taste.. Buffalo soldier is my favorite too.
This the God Father of Reggae “ No Woman No Cry”
“Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!”
This is a great song from a legend!
Wish people would listen to his lyrics, the world could be such a happier place ✌🏼🌎☮️
So excited you’re checking out Bob! Love him.

Bob, his children and his grandchildren have wonderful music. I listen to them all the time.
“I Shot the Sheriff” was the first song I heard by him.
It's based on the Jimmy Cliff movie "The Harder They Come". Movie is a bit depressing, but the music is great. Worth watching if you can find it.

“Could you be loved”…….another fab Bob track 👍🏽
Bob is a legend.... Timeless Prophet of our time! Many messages current even for events of today 💖💛💚 Much respect to you TWINS❤️🙏🏼❤️🕊️
Love that you're getting into some Caribbean music! Bob Marley is a music and cultural icon. He was a Rastafarian, and those are the colors of Rastafari symbolism.
The red stands for the blood of black martyrs that were shed around the world during their struggle for liberation, equal rights, and justice.
Yellow represents the wealth of the homeland, Africa, particularly the gold.
…and finally the green represents the beauty and the vegetation of the promise land, Ethiopia.
Keep going into his music! And other reggae and soca music. There is soooo much culture and riches of history to discover!
The whole song is great, but the most poignant line that always stayed with me was: "Is there a place for the hopeless sinners, who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?". Very powerful line.
"Stir It Up' Is also awesome!! 💞💞😬
Yes Tim it's because of him you can wear you dreads. Bob Marley is amazing
highly recommend "Could You Be Loved?" and "Get Up, Stand Up"
When you're ready for more from Bob Marley, check out "Trenchtown Rock" from his 1975 Live! album, aka Live At The Lyceum, London1975. "One good thing about music \ When it hits you (You feel no pain)"...
I like this song, but my favorites are "Redemption Song" and "Is This Love" (my ring tone). ✌
"We'll be together, with a roof right over our heads......."

☘💨 Bob Marley is a legend.
One of his best and biggest hits was Roots, Rock, Reggae.

Bob Marley legend
Amazing man and artist. Was honoured to see him in concert in Toronto , Canada and sang his songs as lullabies to my children.. His message does not get old. More please :)
“Get up Stand Up” is 🔥🔥🔥
Bob created an Empire in my mind
Y’all should look up the historical significance behind this song. During the mid to late 70’s violence was so prevalent in Jamaica that there was needs for political reform. Bob Marley’s legendary “One Love” concert brought the PNP and JLP parties together and through his music, challenged them to find peace and unity to bring Jamaica closer and find a solution.
What’s known as his most “radical” decision he ever made was when he called out the two leaders of each party to come on stage and shake hands and give the people hope that middle ground would be found. One of the most iconic pictures taken is of Bob lifting their handles together above his head in the name of “one love.” The whole world saw it.
Marley was always very vocal about staying out of politics but on this day he was cemented as a political figure forever.
He never stopped his mission for a moment spreading world peace through his music even when unwell and the reason he gave was "because evil doesn't take a day off neither can i" something like that smh may the father keep this mighty prophet of peace and truth safe jah bless 1love ♡
An absolute *Legend!* I would enjoy watching a reaction to any of his songs
(side note: GREATLY appreciate the tips and motivating words you shared with me on Saturday. I'm always taking notes)
Everybody loves Bob's music. Play it for your children and babies. Play it for people to make them relax and feel good.

Buffalo Soldier 🐃 and Get up Stand up! Two songs that are a must have on the playlist n relative to the times.

I wish I had gotten a chance to see him perform . His messages thru his music I do powerful and relevant still today.
big hugs from Canada awesome guys : )
"Three Little Birds" and "Lively Up Yourself" are great ones by Marley . 🎶
Marley has been so commercialized when he was really pretty radical - check out "Them Belly Full," "Concrete Jungle," "Caution," "Exodus," "So Jah Seh," and "Heathen."
Or check out his 60s work for Coxsone (Simmer down) or his Lee Perry period
Best lyric ever: “emancipate yourself from mental slavery / none but ourselves can free our minds.” Redemption Song
One of the GOATS! 🙂
My son used to bring in a tape of Marley to daycare and his teachers played it every morning!
Hoping that good young people like yourselves will keep Bob Marleys message alive in the world today. The world needed this message then and even more so today. May God bless you in your work young ones!
I love this man.
