In my humble opinion this is the greatest song of all time
That's a very accurate opinion!
I 100 percent agree, there are great songs and great stories in songs, but maybe this is the most important song ever written . and as of now june 2020 it applies more then ever, the line about sitting around and watching the kill their prophets ......
I agree. Its been my ring tone
July 4th 2020
My dad used to listen to this, he escaped Africa and brought the music. Check out Lucky Dube - Prisoner
People will be talking of bob marley for hundred of more years. true definition of a legend.
Bob Marley actually sang Redemption Songs as the very last song he ever did live. It was the darkest saddest song he has done. It was from his 1981 off of his last album Uprising. He is a legend and someone who did more then just sing check out the book Catchafire.
This man was truly a prophet and a legend.
Bob embodied the true spirit of a rebel. He was truly a man of the people. There will never be another Bob Marley 💔💔❤💛💚
This was sang when he was very sick with cancer. He knew this would be the last song he would ever sing live. It is a song that makes legends.
I never knew that, and that explains the depth of it...
Bob Marley is a whole mood.❤
His music goes right to the soul. It's more than poetry. More than music. It's the universe reaching out to you.
His music is so much more then what is given- Jammin, 3 Little Birds. He had a message that stands true today-
It's never to late to discover and enjoy Bob's music. Historical, it ends tragic. But the music lives on.
This is one of the best songs ever written...emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind...take that in for a minute.
Any song recorded in the 70’s is 100 times better than anything recorded now. Queen 1975 is one of my favorites
I'm stunned to watching a white man who identifies as a metal head
not only listen to, but appreciate our music, form reggae to hip hop, is amazing. By the way this is not the first video I have watch you post. Keep doing your thing.
Marley's "War" live is unbelievable. To appreciate him- you've gotta see him live- so amazing!
Agree. I saw his only concert here in New Zealand. In the late 70s. And havent herd anyone as good as him.
Nah. To say nobody can ever appreciate him unless they have seen him live already, or they happen to have a time machine handy, is an asinine comment.
@@rukus9585 Please be kind. Words like "asinine" are cruel. Of course I know Bob Marley is deceased. I was referring to his "live" videos. There are many on CZcams, and I feel that they capture his passion, genius and indomitable spirit far beyond the studio recordings. We're so blessed in recent decades to have the Internet at our fingertips with the ability to explore art, history, culture and so much more... Please use it with grace and gratitude. Wishing you well...
❤❤❤
The most popular musician in the world.
Bob Marley's music repairs my soul. Three Little Birds is my favorite.
Same about the repair part 👏🏽
That's a beautiful song. Mine is "there she goes"
I'm not necessarily a Reggie guy but Bob Marley is one of those artists that I feel everyone can love and enjoy no matter what your preferred genre, his music was the embodiment of happiness, love, and freedom and you'd have to be a crazy person not to want those things in your life
Well said!
Congratulations sir you are collect. Robert Nesta ‘BOB’ Marley died of cancer in 1981, when I was in High School. Great music, message. ALL his songs have gret and powerful messages. Listen some more would be me suggestion.
Bob marley has so many classics. Check out the Marley documentary. Self titled.
Always brings me to tears 😭
Me too 😭 I can relate to this song
Absolutely one of my all time favorite songs!!!! I'm a huge fan of Bob Marley and his son Ziggy!!! Fantastic!!! 🤘❤️🤘
Was it Ziggy before he started performing, that played college football, and was pretty good. It was either Ziggy, one of his brothers, or maybe Ziggy's son, Bob's grandchild, but it was someone directly related to Mr. Marley himself.
Ziggy wasn't the son who played football. Rohan Marley played for the Miami Hurricanes. I don't think he played in the pros
Hey! Great choice. His song GET UP, STAND UP was censored in South Africa. The song was scratched to impede play, (the other songs were untouched). A testament to the power of music.
Love how his voice purposely breaks at just the right time. So simple yet powerful
great reaction! Please do more Bob Marley; no one else seems to be reacting to him. I recommend Natural Mystic, One Drop, and Stir it up just for starters
yes yes yesssssss
Bob Marley is da bomb.. definitely could dig you doing more.
I think this song showcases his voice the best of all his songs
Absolutely great reaction. Bob is an incredible musician on a lot of his albums he has an incredible rhythm section Carlton "Carley" Barrett and Aston "Family man" Barrett on drums and bass. Reggae has beautiful drums and bass an earth rhythm. Bob has a lot of very wise lyrics. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Bob is eternal. His spirit and soul lives on through his music. You can feel it.
I think this, or " A Change Gonna Come" should be our national anthem
Love how you feel music. Bob was a prophet a messenger, hypnotic and mystical. He was LOVE.🙏❤
Roots rock reggae or war by Bob Marley. I just love Bob’s songs so much!
One Million LIKE/LOVE
Bob Marley is telling the truth no one is paying
This is a masterpiece,my favorite Bob Marley song of all time!👊🎶😎
Such an amazing song
Love Bob! Love reggae!❤💛🖤💚
You can watch him sing this exact recording on video. Check out the guitar he played , Beautiful to 'watch' him sing it.
Love Bob Marley
I love that tune and was one the last songs he wrote. He was one of the most authentic genuine real deal artist of the past century. The beauty of their music has light major key vibe over the top while having a heavy deep mournful undertow. The name of The Wailers was named for the Wailing of those who would cry out mournfully and would be Wailing from hunger pains.
Also what is little known is the Dreadlock style of hair was not meant to be a stylish hairstyle. It represents the whips the slave drivers used on their ancestors. And the purposely grew their hair to give them a dreadful appearance and a reminder to the slave masters ancestors cannot hide from the shame. So they would shake their heads to simulate the whip crack.
Those Peter Tosh was far more militant outwardly Bob was more subtle and more consolatory but still militant. His influence would make him a government target of assassins. He and the other Wailers deemed as dangerous. Leading to Bob being shot and injured in a assassination attempt. Which force him to flee to London in exile. And the murder assassination of Peter Tosh has been revealed to have the governments finger prints all over it. They were definitely soul rebels and tough. Tuff Gong
My favourite Marley. Always brings me to tears. Legend. Nice reaction and analysis of an icon.
React to his Son
Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock
Powerful song... You're 52 ! Wow you're aging gracefully my brother
Bleek Cartier I agree I’ve been waiting forever for someone to
Lucky Dube - Prisoner .
God bless Africa
If you seen any commercials on TV for Caribbean vacations you’ve heard a Bob Marley song
It's never too late to listen to Bob's message
Bob Marley is a/ thee truest revolutionary. He united the people of Jamaica, and was deemed a threat to the u.s. nation. He was thee most influential artist, ever. He survived an attempted assassination, only to perform days later, and inspire. He is the epitome of the rebel spirit.
One of Bob's sons played linebacker at U. of Miami and in the CFL
So my parents are Jamaican.. my dad would say he would know i was home because I played Uncle Bob.. lol.. entertaining
When asked when he wrote it, he replied, all my life....
Bob Marley has one of the most talented families on the planet. He’s my favorite reggae artist. His sons follow right after him and have done him justice. His wife Rita and sons Ziggy, Stephen, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, Ky-Mani, Julian and his daughter in law Ms. Lauryn Hill from The Fugees are all talented musicians.
This is my personal favorite song by the Legend Bob Marley, but pretty much all of his work, with the Wailers and solo career, are timeless classics.
Analog gives it a sound of history, authenticity, of the real life recording. I can’t quite explain it another way. Bit I get what you’re saying about it feeling warm.
This song is sacred
In HS I went through a long Bob phase, guess I never left it tbh. Lots of burn runs in the car with friends with Bob as the soundtrack.
I'm white, Scottish, & 59, yet I can feel his pain!
Closing my eyes walking through Edinburgh & Glasgow...as a Jamaican...I swore the Scottish were speaking patois...humble people with a whimsical way the glide and smile as they strolled
legendary music to free the soul ,
Marley s catalog is massive , start listening to rare songs
Top ranking bob marley🔊🔊
Please react to Bob Marley - "War"
I got to play War for my daughter's 4th grade class and break it down for the kids line by line. It was an honor
YES! And the live version is incredible!
@@navigatingwithnana Yes ... it is! One of the greatest of all time.
Listen to his War album. It would read like something written in early 2020 instead of 1973. You will get chills.
Bob Marley: Burning & looting
Peter Tosh: why must I cry
iron lion zion is such a good underrated song of his
Bob Marley playlist🤔 🤙😀share the earth man🤣

Natural mystic, no woman no cry, three little birds, so much trouble in the world 🔥🔥 just to name a few
There a lot bands I didn’t listen too or give chance. It’s now like buried treasures and I get full Catalog. Form You especially as you some what stated finding gems in that era of analogue.

Ive always wanted a quote of lyric of his tattooed..
“None but ourselves can free our mind”
This was the last song he preformed before he passed.
Bob was great. Anything from the Exodus album (basically the greatest hits album). Exodus itself is wonderful.
Such a awesome song from the legend that is bob marley
Power. Power to the under dog. Human kind.
You are an amazing soul and audio engineer!
Do crazy baldheads
One of my favorite songs, beautiful. And with a real message few people understand. One way to free our minds is meditating.
The king dont get enough love in reactions. Thank you man. Great vid. More on this artist would be great.
Beautiful
Right on is correct. Marley = legend ❤

Waiting in vain
War
No woman no cry

One Love ❤from Jamaica 🇯🇲.
Bob's the best. None better. I hope you listen to all his music. Listen to his message, it's a teaching.
It's like a dying man's wish and plea to his children to keep his legacy 'the songs of freedom' all he's ever had 'the only inheritance he has for them'
Hey Dirty, love your reactions to all your genres....keep up all the good work that you do (by the way) check out No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley when you get the time
40 years ago he had to die as a young man. Peace, Bob.
Awesome reaction
The man said "Emanicipate yourself from Mental slavery… " .
I mean it's over right there. Baaaaaarrrsss.
I love analog. I have about 3 thousand vinyl. From reggae to jazz to rock
Songs like this always put me in mind of the opening lines of an 80s Springsteen song....
"Well we busted out of class had to get away from those fools
We learned more from a 3 minute record baby than we ever learned in school"
Big up Bob Marley
Coming in From the Cold - great Bob Marley song.
Spot on about analog recording. The digital is all about the effects, auto tune and only the aesthetic. It was either you got it or not and you can feel the soul and heart on the analog one...music and voice.
Good reaction. Yes, you need to play more Bob Marley. Big up your son for loving Bob. " Nuff respek" to you for venturing into something new.
Fun fact. Bob was inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame
Football ⚽️, as we call it, is popular all across the Caribbean. Cricket too.
To your analog comment, as an electronics technician for to many years to count, while music wasn't my specialty, a digital signal is square on the top and bottom while the analog signal has the curved top and bottom of the sine wave, when digitalized the top and bottom of the sine wave is chopped off to square the signal which are then converted to one's and zero's so the analog sound is fuller with all the high trebles and low basses
Listen to the live version he did in Dortmond Germany 1980. Raw genius!
Enjoying your reactions very much. As a guitarist you will definitely appreciate Martin Taylor. I’ve got rhythm, would be a good start. Peace
Joe Strummers version of this song is equally as epic.
It's about time. Thanks for your input. I love your show.
From Bob, there are so many great songs, I recommend Exodus - awesome song, totally joyful
