- Many songs from the Tamil Films have been ignored periodically for reasons best known to no one. Especially, never or rarely attempted in any reality shows, stage shows or competitions.
When the nation is on a Quarantine, Subhasree Thanikachalam launches this new series.
This series will feature a set of rare songs that are rarely heard, rarely performed and she will also try and give some trivia for the songs.
The songs will all be performed by young singers who came out of her shows, which mainly focussed on old songs. The sessions are unplugged and performed with minimum instrumentation. No retakes. One stretch live performance..

Right at the start, TMS was perhaps at the very limit of his range, but Raghav seems to pull it off nicely! Great performance by both!! Not just MLV Amma voice but her effortless singing that makes this tough song look easy is not at all easy to replicate. Pleasantly surprised to see her doing great.

Dharini started நாடெங்கும் followed by ஆடாத மனமும்... Each time she rendered the pallavi, that டா had a magical punch which can make any pair of feet to do a perfect திதிதை in all speeds. Both RK and her what range, what depth and what sangathis, the spirit of the singing legends must have gone into them to give an extra spice to their perfect, honest and most sincere attempt. I have repeatedly watching this song because of the song sung by these two. Normally, when you hear or watch old songs normally the original singers or actors who have moved their lip come to our mind, but nowadays whenever I hear or watch this song only these two come to my mind. I have lot more songs like this sung by different singers in your QFR programme, to name a few, Pon enben, aha inba nilavinile, thanga radham vandhadhu, poovizhi vasalil, parthen sirithen, kalaimagal kai porule, .........

We had to wait for 146 episodes to see the entry of this outstanding voice Dharini !! I thought only Sudha Raghunathan could sing in MLV style by virtue of her association with the legend - but Dharini is mesmerising also - looking forward to hearing from her more often
