I legit drove to 3 different locations (2 targets and a Best Buy) to get one and they were sold out. I was on my lunch break, my car overheated, and I got reprimanded for being away from work for 3.5 hours. It's been a HORRIBLE day.

They will work as long as they support USB-C
but most battery banks charge the switch slower than it uses power, so id wait for an official, supported battery bank.

WinterPR maybe, but sadly the main title right now is zelda and that just isnt enough for me to buy it at launch. I honestly could have bought one but theres not enough games out right now that make it worth the buy and i have heard and read of people already having issues with the systems. I love nintendo but the system right now is a no go for me.
I'm waiting for a bundle at a price drop... for $200, I'd buy one. I've only missed 1 nintendo machine ever, the WiiU... but this machine simply isn't worth $300 + all the other shit you'd have to buy
It is a brand new console, they are always priced around $300, and you do not HAVE to buy any accesories
Same, skipped the Wii U and don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Especially considering the fact that the 3DS is getting some of the same games ported over and the Switch is getting the others.

I have to disagree on the confront controller. I really prefer using the comfort grip opposed to just using the joycons. It's pretty comfortable to hold if you don't want to pay the money to put a pro controller

so for the switch its not okey to have a 720, but the iphone 7 not having 1080 is fine... (not the plus)
Stefan Andreasson ye because this has 6.2 inch screen that looks good from all the reviewers I've heard talking about it, and the iPhone has a 4.7 inch screen that means battery life will not be as tolling especially with not that much processing and GPU being used aswell
Stefan Andreasson Screen resolution is all dependent on screen size. A massive screen at 720p looks like trash but a 4.7" screen(iPhone) it's hard to tell the difference between 1080P and 720P. The only time when a difference is like the galaxy s7 which is 2560P which offers better sharpness and detailing.

mspeed101 - You can. I had a preorder in store at GameStop and went to Walmart at midnight and bought my neon since my GS wasn't doing a midnight launch.
Several stores still had some stock yesterday afternoon.
Rule number one. Avoid Gamestop. Everyone goes there.... because they think, "Oh they'll have 400 consoles because they're an official game store!" No... Everyone goes there, and the employees already buy the first 8 out of 30 of them. Rule number 2. Go to a Meijer or other similar Walmart type store with an electronics section.. Meijer is the best because they don't do pre-orders (my area anyway). And finally, show up at 6pm with a chair, a book, McDonald's, and sit there until 12:01 am. That's what I do! I had my Nintendo Switch at 12:02am. 2nd in line.
I had mine preordered at GS the day it was available. The four Walmarts here were sold out within an hour after launch.
Simply cancelled my GS preorder the next day and made someone very happy to find they now had one available.
Moral of the story is don't wait til the last minute to preorder.

I'll admit that I was sceptical of the switch hardware-wise but I had a short go of one today and it seriously exceeded my expectations. The system and graphics look great in person and it feels really well built. Hopefully the 3rd party games lineup will grow significantly because I'm not all that interested in Mario and co.

The switch battery life goes just because you play on like max brightness I'm used to it being pretty dark and on Zelda I got 4 hours
It’s also goes down faster on more graphically demanding games. So if you’re playing something like Undertale, it’ll go down far slower.

Also I believe mine came in a deluxe gamer's edition for $299.99 so it had a case, a couple games, all the included things you mentioned, a screen protector, grip accessories and the charger. Would recommend because buying them all separate costs like $400 (the ones in my pack at least)

everyone who has a switch or is a console gamer! i have a very weird question but please bear with me. my last console was the psp 2000 back in idk 2009? and have been a pc gamer since. but i regress due to the innovation of the nintendo switch. hence my question ; is this a suitable handheld portable console for a young adult? is it considered a young teen or even a children's console? in truth i pay close attention to my personal image in public and dont really want to look like a young adult (lets say my age ranges between 20-25) trying to look young playing on this console :D any and all replies greatly appreciated! (only towards my question, no 'wow what a shallow person' or whatnot as i already know that myself)

I just bought a switch, i have played my friends switch for the past couple weekends, I actually enjoyed the joycon holder, probably because i use a small controller for my pc to game.

I bought one just over a week ago now and I have to say it's absolutely brilliant well worth it. It's actually the first ever Nintendo system that I have bought out of my own money (I'm 27). I'm normally a ps4 gamer nothing else but my partner and I had a baby 4 months ago and we only have the one tv so I no longer have the time to sit down and enjoy my ps4 for any real time at all. So I done alot of looking into the switch and made the decision to sell on my ps4 and with the money buy a switch. No regrets here at all

4:37 I guess it is ok to say the switch has a higher resolution than the vita, but you have to keep in mind the vita’s screen is 5 inches compared to 6.2 on the switch. That brings the switch to a ppi of 237 while the vita has 220. So really it’s not much of a difference compared to something like the iPhone 7 Plus which has a ppi of 401
