It's been an emotional sports weekend between the Detroit Red Wings, Grand Rapids Griffins/Flying Toasters, and the Detroit Lions...thankfully, we're a hockey podcast.

That Jersey is sick lol. I do love Toledo Walleye Jerseys as well. A lot of people overlooked Lyon and I couldn’t understand why. Watch a lot of Panthers and he showed me who he was last year. Wings are looking great and I’m excited for the remainder of the season. Those 19/24 points were against mostly good teams as well. I’m glad I didn’t buy into football like most. Haven’t taken the NFL seriously in 9 years now. Sorry to everybody bummed about the Lions.
Fly Toaster Fly! Hockey is so much fun now a days! Ryan, you look great in that jersey! Grand Rapids is the best, if you're ever in that area hit up Grand Haven in August for the Coast Guard Festival, you'll have a blast! Its kinda like Hawaii for 2 months out of the year

I'm more than happy for the entire world to think Seider is average or bad.... at least until he gets signed long-term.
…Mo is playing great the most time, but for sure he have to improve like any other, he‘s learning fast and will be able to be a really big difference maker in the future
I disagree that Lyon is the only reason the Wings have climbed out of the December "Crater". The Copp line is a factor, a healthy line up is a factor, in addition to the team playing with some swagger. The goaltending has been excellent to be certain but the Wings goalie is no longer on an island. Team play has improved.
This is why the NHL NEEDS to have and offisive defenceman award and a defenceman award. 2. The forwards have so many aeards for them its so WRONG that there is only a Norris award the them

Are we sure these tickets are discounted? I think the last time I did the WWP deal I paid like 80 for the lower bowl and now it's 120? Is this the having a good team now tax?
Unfortunately yes. The production price of the hat factors in but mostly just price increases.

To carry on the Seider conversation, i was thinking he should play more minutes and wanted you guys to talk about why he doesn't.
Is it because he already plays such hard minutes??
Seider averages a hair over 22 minutes a night.
The majority of top dmen play 24-25 min a night.
Outliers being the islanders lean on dobson for 26 min a night, while the rangers only use fox 23 minutes a night.
Gotta image a couple more minutes for seider, and by extension walman, over any of the other 5 dmen would be a net positive over the course of a season.
