How did you get the esl unit off while in the lock position? You skipped that part

had this e250 lucky it was off when went saves a lot of time no need to strip it all down just get new esl and green key from dealer will need id and reg docments

my dash lights come on but don't crank. starts after 3 or 4 times. would this be the eic issue?
