I have a 2007 cls 55amg with 160000km. Its a amazing car and lot of power . Everything is ok except the 5 speed automatic gear which is little bit annoying sometimes but it’s bulletproof. Great machine and never had any issues just change the oil and fly.
This is my best friend and his car. I've told him for so long that he needs to get one and im so happy he finally got it. Great video man. I subscribed to you.
Aside from a few technical misinfo (there's no magnetic ride control or pushrods), a solid review. I've got one myself. It's a reliable, comfortable, schizophrenic torque monster, with a stunning body. The E/CLS 55 AMG basically a cheap car to maintain, as parts are mainly inexpensive. Just a few caveats: The electro-hydraulic brakes (SBC main cylinder has a certain lifespan) and airmatic bags are the most expensive surprises you might encounter. Also, you may need to replace engine and transmission rubber mounts, and camshaft position sensor may fail. But considering it's a true supercar of its time... dirt cheap stuff.
👍
Dope vid love these cars
My dream car..... great video.
Thanks!
Sick car. I just got 1 same color that I'm going to fixing up.
Nice review bro!! I need to drive my CLS55 more often than. Just waiting till this winter weather is over. And then I'll do my personal review as well. PS: nice gear! Ronin really helped to make those moving shots smooth as hell! I'm shooting on my Samsung smartphone lol! :D
Thanks! The RSC2 is a sweet little gimbal, and I've seen some people get some crazy shots with smartphones. Get after it!
@@throttleresponsemedia3543 Yeah, I agree. DJI makes great products. First I just need to get a new mirrorless camera for videos with 4k@60p. Hopefully I'll get one this year. There will be CP+ show next week.
Great shoot man!!!!!!
Thanks man!
What a car 😮
Does it have the dynamic seats that have the compressor that fills the side bolsters to keep you planted when you start carving canyons
I've Heard it's basically just new body/interior As the E class. Does it handle any better or is all 5he fun based on the M113K loud pedal?
“sounds like a dyson vaccum cleaner to me”🤣🤣
What’s the name of the head unit in it and where can I get one?
SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!
Where'd you get that Head Unit?
I plan on getting the 550 I wish I could get this one though
Lol I love the real high dollar AMG's this CSL55amg had an MSRP of 120,000$ put that in 2022 $'s and it's equivalent would be 275k💪& smile's per mile these are tough to beat
Whats your tire set up ????
Well I never cared much for the cls class this has changed my mind
It's a great car
@@throttleresponsemedia3543 I've definitely found a new way to look at it.
Link for the front grill.
I have the same color cls wish I had his motor tho. I have a moded 550 im installing kleman camshaft soonnim at 460 hp rn
I bet that is fun to drive! I love the 550
Car has airmatic (air springs) not magnetic ride. The engine is SOHC, 3 valves per cylinder, not pushrod.
This dude's mind was blown by the features of a C class. In that time period, the entry level Mercedes, lol
I honestly was surprised at what this car had for the year. Lol I'm not too knowledgeable about Mercedes, I mostly stay in the JDM space. So it was pretty interesting to see a well built C class from 06 with much more to offer than say... an LS 430.
@@throttleresponsemedia3543 It's cool, you're learning. I have lots to learn too. A C class is the small economy Benz, like a 3 series, but usually a little cheaper. Like, about 50% of e90s have leather, where about 90% of c classes of that time have pleather.
A CLS is mid level Benz, literally a prettier E class. The big boys of the period build quality wise were the S class and the CL. With the S class coming in a distant 2nd.
Coolest feature the CL and S class have of that period are power rearview mirrors. They don't have a switch, but have a motor and change position themselves with different memory settings being used.
The coolest feature that CLS55 has are dynamic seats. The seats will inflate or deflate bolsters during cornering for support.
Besides the heated and cooled massaging seats, you could also choose the adaptive cruise control for a CLS, in 2005. Most likely not available for the C-class. :)
The CLS is basically an E-class, with the amount of leather in the interior of an S-Class, and the passenger/cargo capacity of an A-class. ;-)
@@phurniz The trunk space is a moot point others say. A w211 trunk capacity is 15.8 ft.
A c219 trunk capacity is 15.7 ft. A new A class is 8.7 ft.
@@randkamza1206 The trunk space line was kind of a joke, but there's some truth to this: While the trunk is quite spacious and deep, it's pretty darn low. The w219 can only fit one tyre in its trunk. You can't fit two. Not even "narrow" 255mm front tires. :) And the back seats can't really accomodate anyone taller than 6'1".
G55💪
not to be that guy.....but the m113k engine in that cls is not a pushrod engine its a 3valve per cylinder single overhead cam v8
How does it compare to the cls 550
I have never driven the 550. But, the 55 AMG is almost a perfect all around car in terms of a powerful daily driver!
@@throttleresponsemedia3543 THANK U SIR
Not sure of the CLS but the E55 has a zero to 150mph time of like 24sec🤷♂️
The m113k is a SOHC 32V v8. No pushrods
I thought pushrods sounded off sohc since the 90s that's why they don't blow , don't have rods to throw
24 valves, 3 valves per cylinder.
@@BlagoP yes that would be too many lol 😆
Air ride is not difficult or expensive to fix. $350 per air strut. Only one company makes remanufactured air struts or can do a coil over conversion. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE IS CRUCIAL
Not a pushrod engine, SOHC, and factory internals would be closer to 700 hp limit.
Car has airmatic suspension. Magna who ride?
The wheels though...
Is it more reliable than a cls63?
both sucks
@@hamzaa.8082 I'll rephrase: "which one is the least reliable?"
@@-ANDY. the 55 cars are better on paper, for both performance and reliability. Wouldn't really recommend the 63. The 55 engine and drive train are heavily overengineered.
@@ekamvirk7599 thanks!
Too much camera on occupants, too little views of car and its features.
Magnificent car, deserves better exposure.
everything except reliability
The m113k with this 5-speed auto is actually one of, if not the best amg drivetrains. Unreliable compared to what? A Camry? Maybe...
