They did come with a limited slip but only with the ones equipped with the performance package

It boggles my mind why Mercedes do such stupid decisions like not making all the Amg models with LSD.
@@Eidrian111 hi it looks VERY good. many kind of model are. old c and e models not durable maybe only olds. production date matters, and engine size in few countries year tax much cheaper. one russian made many good quality video about his CLS55 AMG and his travels. durable?
This car makes perfect sense compared to an American muscle car only this has modern comforts and technology. Fun factor is the reason behind this madness.

@@FizzyMotors We live in Germany at the moment, which oddly enough you don't see too many older AMGs. This car is really designed for the Autobahn where you can push it to it's top end (if you have the spine for it).
only one year production in 2006 for the usa. I LOVE IT!!!!

@@FizzyMotorsthey were produced only one year between 2005 -06 they are actually pretty rear cars. Torque monsters ,engines are very torque and reliable but that old 5 speed automatic takes it down and hot days kills the supercharger because of heat socking . After 4 year driving still not selling and it’s sitting in garage now for Fridays. I believe price will go up in time.

I know this is a 2yr old video/review an all, but I could not just not give my experience and insight on my All Time Favorite MB sedan sports model, the CLS55 AMG.
I purchased this vehicle once it came out in '06. It's the best engine (M113K) MB ever made/put together to this day. I Loved it then and still love it Now. Wish MB never abandoned the M113K system, but anyway... I just want to say I disagree a bit with your review. First, you should've/need to change the driving mode setting, from Comfort to Sport. It's so much different experience in not only "Preformence," but "Response," e.g. the brakes as you've mentioned.The braking response is much different in Comfort mode than in Sports mode., and they're Brembo system for heaven sake, how can you say the brembo brakes sucks an this vehicle? Name a braking system/brand out there today that not only out preforms, but is known to be a better than the Brembo sysyem? There's a big reason why All the "Supercar Manufacturers" (Mclaren, Ferrari, Pogani, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg, etc.) only stick with the Brembo name/system on ALL their vehicles, and why there's been no one trying nor has successfully Dethrone Brembo in/off this market, to this day. Any way... You have the drive mode in Comfort setting thus why you feel as if you're "stepping on a toad," put the vehicle in Sport mode, Trust me, my friend.., the handling/response/power, etc... your experience will be much different, and maybe your thoughts on the vehicle. The cls55 amg is very... very comparable to the Mclaren 570/600lt/650 when in Sport Mode in my opinion. That's all I wanted to say/point out in your review about the cls55 amg. I didn't take in account that ECU's will very from country to country. So perhaps you experience in this cls 55 is what it is. Anyway, Chog Dee, my friend... drive/stay safe out there 🙏🙏🙏. I know how our motorist are/can be out there in our beautiful country.

He loved it, but just like me, he complained that he wouldn't be able to drive this as a daily in Bangkok crappy roads and traffic.
I also suspect that my EDC dampers are on the way out, so the ride is not as sophisticated as new for sure.

@@ezpz4659 but you still can't turn off the ABS unless it's in Dyno mode, which you don't use on the road.
If you know how to drive you can easily push the car into a corner.

Just admit the power scared the shit out of you so you had no idea how to drive it threw corners and didn’t have the balls to actually test it. Oh and about the brakes. 100kph - 0 in 33m. It will put you through the windscreen with no belt. Tried it myself.
Your video makes absolutely no sense. You can barely hear the exhaust from the inside, the car stops on a dime, its the first 4 door coupe in the world, also, the LSD is available on Performance packages, the 5 speed is there because the 7MG can’t take the torque. Also you can get a quaife LSD for 1000$, not that much if you can afford to own and run and modify a CLS55.
Also the kid in highschool is fat, but the CLS55 looks and feels sporty, sportier than that fat piece of garbage they call the E60 M5 or the E55 that’s now very outdated.

How can the e55 be outdated when the CLS sits on the W211 chassis? And more and more people prefer the E styling? It’s a timeless design 😹
@@xvvs2575 the OP means that the looks are outdated. It’s a timeless design, but definitely would coincide with a grandpa kind of car. CLS55 AMG is the E55’s Grandson, same roots just more caught up with modern times (designs).
U had me until u said E55 is outdated . Disagree by a long shot , its a complete four door car the amg package on the E looks amazing. Even the Cls-base model looks like shit , it looks better of course with the Amg package on it.
