Yes! So far, easiest was Paris, followed by Barcelona, Milan and then Frankfurt. Milan and Frankfurt involved a lot of back and forth, and Frankfurt had a separate customs check for items in your checked-in bag and for your hand-carry. Paris was much simpler.😊

Hi, do we need to carry the purchased items in the exact packaging we received from shops? I am planning to buy a luxury handbad from europe. So the product would comes in a big carton box and then a big carry bag of that brand. Do i need to carry or pack in the brand boxes, cartons and carry bags too? In what condition exactly the customs expects to see the purchased products? I know it has to be unused with bills and price tags intact but the outer packaging of the items it that necessary to carry as well? Any leads would be appreciated!!

I bought from a standalone shoe store in Paris, I have a notification on my Global Blue account stating that all my necessary steps are complete yet still no refund after 5 weeks. I am back in the EU now and leaving again on Friday I will quiz them at the airport. @@ERC_Channel

For items in your hand carry, there is a customs office after security. You can have your form stamped there and get refund at kiosks of the refund companies also after security. However, there are also threshold exemptions that’s why most of these goods are not declared and taxed. I suggest you research or ask about Moldovan taxation. It’s okay if you pay in cash. You can receive tax refund in cash as well. Regardless of taxation in Moldova, we suggest you process refund for your purchase upon exiting the EU. Hope this helps!
