Thanks for this interview 🙏. America children (black) should be looking up to men like Shane.
Smh..1 interview just eliminated all the hate i had for dude..smh..thats like 20+ yrs of good genuine hate..all down the drain😞..i smiled the entire interview 😢
Why the hate? Laker fan? 😅
@@vongSTAA nah..anti Duke fan
Shane Battier is that type of player any winning team need. The quiet, professional type that has zero ego and brings a lot of effort, smarts and intangibles to complete any championship squad. Glad he gets some recognition for a change. Salute to Shane B!
Q-Rich trying to dap Shane up and Shane just holding his hand every time has me weak 😂
I noticed every time and it hurt every time
Shane one of us tho.
That's something you would expect from a man like Shane lol it's all about being professional even when shaking hands 😂
You shouldn't be bothered by that.
@bennybluprint2330 You shouldn't be bothered by that. You're probably one of those, one of the many who see him not being black enough.
Shane Battier has a voice that makes me think he can get me a really good deal on a new car 😂
😂😂😂
On god
Grant Hill, Shane, etc... Much respect to dudes like this. This is who our children should be emulating
Real talk I love Shane's story being from Michigan as well the city he is from is a very middle to upperclass area made up of Black professionals definitely very inspirational
Hell yeah, well said ✌️.
Not your typical drug-smoking, education-hating NBA guys.
I gotta' admit - this is the 1st time I've watched a full episode in its entirety. Shane Battier has always intriguied me and I found myself curious to see what he was like. Very humble guy! And, great job from Q' and Miles on interviewing him!
I get what you're saying. He seems completely different than most players in the league. With his style of playing and the way he carries himself inside and outside the court he always represented the image of a true professional basketball player.
Same here!
Best Hoops podcast and its not even close. For all the basketball junkies out there. No drama no life shit just basketball i love it. And another banger bye the Knuckleheads family 🔥🔥🙏🏾💯
The fact that they leave drama out (even on-court drama that is basketball related) sets them miles apart from any other sports podcast.
and no woke bs like all the smoke
Nope Gill's Arena got that right now
#facts
@@dolotrees9811yup💯😭
Shane is that one lucky player that has nothing to lose on the team yet his role ultimately makes the team 10x bettter
I remember Coach K saying he thought Shane would be President someday after his playing career was over. I’d vote for him! Great episode.
Dude gives me Obama vibes
Id need to hear his thoughts on foreign policy, regulation, etc… Lol. He is a smooth talker though. But I vote based on policy..
YEA that’s krazy cause I was thinking something similar I was saying damn HE Knows the right answer to everything all answers have a positive outcome with learning experiences very very political plus dis Nicah never grew facial hair LOL
Oh 1,000%! K's comment was obviously based not just on his personality but his intelligence, leadership, etc. But also that quote was made when Shane was like 22 years old. Lol. I def need more info now. @@1234VVA
Never thought I would sit through a Shane Battier podcast but I enjoyed every minute. Props to the guys for keeping the interview not like an interview but just a casual chat.
Shane’s a whole nut, SHE’LL be back lmao!!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
One of the best defenders ever. 🔥
He was definitely a best defender
Facts!
Definition of a 3 and d guy. Pause.
Exaggerating like a mf
@@smonster9807it isn't an exaggeration.
Hated him growing up but gotta respect him now ✊🏾
One of the few men I have ever seen in my high school days that could guard Kobe Bryant that was a great interview!
Shane Battier is ridiculously smart, heard he was one of the first guys who started studying analytics. He wasn't a flashy crazy athletic player but his basketball iq helped him star in his role
The NBA needs more Shane Battier. Intelligent, well spoken, humble, clean cut and professional. Class act.
That era is over unfortunately
I love the way Darius Miles asks questions. He looks like he’s hiding a smile, every time 😂
incredible interview start to finish. Battier talking about any subject has been proven gold
I remember that 27 game winning streak.. crazy streak.. they almost caught up to the lakers streak.. and then the Chicago bulls ended that streak that year and that was a good game 🔥🔥
This dude was the ultimate role player. Elite defender and solid shooter. You can always count on him. Every championship team has dudes like this.
Coach K cooking Shane in film session is killing me 😂😂😂
Class act. Just watched his Game 7 in the 2013 NBA Finals: 6-8 from 3pt.
I’m a simple man I see Kobe and I click!
Love this comment! Same!
We need a role player hall of fame 🏆
One of the best 3&D players who played their role to perfection. Night in night out guarded the other teams best no hesi. Gave you a 15 piece wing combo too😂
Shane pops mr Battier gave me my first internship when i was at wayne state university studying civil engineering transportation. A real model of a black man.
My favorite Duke player. He and Trajan Langdon made me love Duke basketball.
Same here .. the Alaskan Assassin 🔥
Shane Battier is a Real One...
This guy doesnt get enough credit. I will admit until he came to Miami i under valued him. Truly a all around guy who embidies professional hardwork and dedication
He’s remembered highly in Houston! Total class act and great defender and shooter ! 🤘🏽 🚀
2013 finals game 7… man Shane was major 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:21:45 - man... this choked me up a little bit. Starting from maybe 5 years old ...seeing you're different and finding your life's purpose..damn
Rockets fan here. Loved Shane in Houston by far our best defender! Definitely a slept on Rockets legend 🤘🏾
Ron Artest enters the chat....
Yes sir, Shane had brought that defense every game.✊️

Batty Batty Batty! Enjoyed him so much in Htown. His battles with kobe were legendary. He deserved that 💍
Battier is the reason I became a Duke fan.

One of my favorite players growing up. Literally always a hand in a face defensive minded player and fun to watch.
He was my favorite player too
Lmaooo shane battier favorite your player???yall definitely didn’t watch basketball
@@Itscashisi hate ppl like you cuz not everybody Favorite player gotta be superstars
I have always liked Shane , and I have always respected him. This interview just Brought me to another level!
Shane could for real start a business teaching these young guys in the league how to conduct themselves. He's a super professional, no ego, does the dirty work and does not complain. Basically the opposite to a lot of current low iq players who value only highlights.
Props for Shane to give Q Rich his flowers. Q Rich had game & swag. #Knuckleheads
Shane has always been first class professional. Just a clinic on how to conduct yourself in public.
Never thought I’d be watching a Shane Battier podcast. Lmao.
Same and the fact it's interesting.
Got to meet Shane battier as a kid at a UMiami basketball camp… such a cool dude
props to Shane. he's a stand up man for real
Shane Battier looks like president, colonel, chemist, teacher, and yo friend. He just got that aura!
Shane was nice in college. He played in a lot of big games made great timely shots. He definitely went hard & this ep is Classic!!!! Salute💯💯💯🏀
I'm a tar heel fan but got mad respect for this dude
We gotta 💯
Only Shane Battier would, in 2023, describe Duke-UNC as the Hatfields and the McCoys :)
3 humble dudes. So likable.
49:25 I like Darius Miles' reaction there. He's no longer talking because he totally understands organically what that's like.
Facts
For a brief moment he was back in that game scenario in his mind and it felt real
This my childhood best interview of the year
right? Shane Battier was an era
God What a story ive gained so much respect and admiration for you shane bro man_ what a champ at life and on the court the nba needs more humble dudes like you man_👏🏾💯🔥🏀

Grant Hill and Shane B. are my Faaaaavorite people in the NBA.
Great interview. Underrated baller fo sho! Just like I thought he'd be.... Just as cool as corny but genuine and a hard worker. Salute
Great interview. Respect Shane.
Knuckleheads podcast is becoming my favorite. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 No BS, just B-ball talk. Love it.
I thought he was gonna be soooo good, especially after his rookie year- Btw, I was a grizzlies fan back then bc of J-Will. Shane was pretty good-

1 of those interviews I never knew I needed!! I remember when Shane came to talk to the hoopers at Wayne Memorial in either 97 or 96 when we were headed to states!! Cool dude!!!
That’s a dope story!

Definition of Heat culture

One of the most underrated Duke players of all time.
Knuckle Heads is the best NBA/basketball podcast PERIOD!!!! Hands down!
Great show

Great interview guys keep up the great work Stl in the house
Excellent job fellas
Shout-out Shane "bang-bang" Battier one of my favorite heat players
Shane one of the real gents of the game
Solid player
I'm definitely a UNC guy; but I've always had a respect for Shane as a player. I always knew he would be a solid pro. 💯
He, Grant Hill, Elton Brand, and Corey Magette are the only cats who made it tough to hate Duke. Coach K was getting some game changing recruits back in the 90's.
