That Kobe validation is a badge of honor for these guys
it's crazy how a future hall of famer just relived his fanboi moment like that about another.
That should deadsss be a 2k badge lol
@Randolph_Onu Yeah the Mamba badge
Kids and their lingo… deadass 😂 one day you’ll be like yeah I sounded dumb as shit lol
Every generation goes through it but this deadass and bringing back bet is hilarious to me
Kobe was a superhero growing up. Dude was not human and tough as nails on the court
Noticed Klay dropped a "we" when talking about the Lakers losing in 2004. Once a Lakers fan always a Lakers fan. :')
Prolly Has To Do Wit His Pops Bein A Former Laker Also
His dad was on the team /announcing
The love for the childhood team never goes away

I’m still not over Kobe.
It don’t sit right in my mind what went down and how he left out this world. Mamba legacy is strong
I’m a born and raised Angeleno. I was eleven when Shaq and Kobe won the first of the 3peat. When Kobe died it felt like a piece of my childhood was ripped out of my chest.
you guys really need to let it go
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 your mom needs to let my 🥜 go..😆
@@mauricedavis1740 grow up
I think there are nefarious things behind his transition. The elite were afraid of him for reasons way bigger than basketball.
We all miss Kobe he was my fav nba player
Was?

I love the way Klay talks. You can see hear and feel his passion and love for the game!
Fr bro out here reminiscing while explaining lmao.
Both you niggas gay
to think Kobe would've absolutely been on this podcast, damn man life is so fragile
He only did podcasts when he had something to promote, and even then he only gave them half the time of the normal length of the show.
@@kb5509 my point still stands
@@TheChristian50 if he had something to promote. Probably not, then.
@@kb5509what podcast did he promote stuff I looked at a few he was Average time
@@kb5509up in smoke podcast was good. Yeah i would actually do the same if i was in his position. He gave it his all no regrets once he retired
damn that gym story brought a tear to my eye. miss Kob man
I’m so happy that Kobe will truly be getting his flowers with these past generations getting to do interviews.
He was everyone’s favorite player at one point
Not the chick he raped
Consistently fierce. You always knew what you were getting with Kobe, everything. #mamba4eva
He’s one of the best to ever do it. It’s really nice seeing it like you say because gah damn so many casuals and ppl like Nick Wright just shouldn’t even talk😂
@@EnTiempo824 He's an entertainer, it's not his fault people actually think they think the shit they say.
These Kobe stories are timeless. I can sit and listen to NBA players recite them all day. It just goes to show you the respect, love, and inspiration he had on every young player around the league. I know they all miss his wisdom and knowledge of the game.
His legacy will last forever.
Undeniably
Hell yea. As long as basketball exists. U can’t think of basketballs history and not think of Kobe.
I could listen to kobe stories all day. What a legend.
Kobe values hardwork and winning more than anything else.
Klay really make you feel like you're in the moment with him as he tells stories and he funny
Kobe had 40 , I felt like I held my own 😂
Kobe was an idol and mentor to Everyone he helped so much people improve on there game
Kobe is unappreciated when it comes to changing the game, the way players study each other Kobe was that, everybody yells Kobe when shooting anything, his swag, arrogance the loyalty & his dedication how players talk about the game now is all Kobe!.
Kobe being gone is such a rough subject for me, but hearing these legends of the game spit truth about how amazing it was to be around him. Not on the same team, not playing at all, just *around* him. Makes me tear up dawg.
Same man same
I really like these kobe stories!
It's been a while since I was able to watch video's about Kobe without crying and starting to tear up. I'm getting better with it, but still miss my guy and am still pissed about his senseless death. Getting the seal of approval from Kobe gave so many players the confidence they needed to level-up. RIP Kobe Mamba Mentality forever.
I still can't
@@sethaldrich6902 I feel your pain my friend. It's something we may truly never get over...
I just love that after all the hate that Kobe got that the truth is coming out about how amazing he was as a human being.
I miss Kobe so damn much
Speaking on his name with reverence. Well deserved.
Kobe’s greatness was outside the game and had a special way of reaching into our hearts ❤️ . RIP Kobe 🕊️🕊️
Klay is so smooth while still being giddy as a school kid
Kobe is the goat what he did for this generation coming up is crazy
Every one who played with are against KOBE always has kind words to say about him. How good he was and his worked out in the basketball courts early in the morning while everyone was sleep but KOBE. Who was practicing on the courts. By his self. KOBE wanted to win and he showed it by getting up early going ro the courts working on difference way to make the basket in the hoops. evert time I see these aids of KOBE It bring back memories of KOBE and how hard he worked on the basketball courts. R.I.P. KOBE
Klay underrated all time
How is he?
Nah he don’t do those 4am runs. He’s right where he belongs tho
@@humanuponearthand you know that how?
@@bayscithe just said he won’t do that. 😂
@@bayscit he mentioned it when he was talking about Kobe, and how knowing he had a little bit of Mamba Mentality gave him confidence. Just not the runs lol
Man, Klay is just a cool, positive dude.
If Kobe tells a feel good story about you, you had his respect.
We all can listen to Kobe stories for forever... 🐍♾️
I absolutely love that in the years since Kobe’s passing all these players just keep adding their tales to the legend of the Black Mamba
I love how y’all actually put the clip in there!
It’s dope when you meet your hero & didn’t change your perspective of’em.
Legends. Never. Die. 🙌
Really wish Kobe was here to be on this podcast and many other great podcasts!
4:17 Cool to see Klay still a Laker fan at heart.
Love hearing Klay hesitate to say "we". True Laker fan at heart! 💜💛
To this day I still cry over Kobe whenever he’s mentioned. I idolized that man, I tried to imitate his game from his triple threat stance to his post up moves. I wanted to be like him. 😢
MJ is the Greatest player ever but Kobe’s love is unmatched.
Wish Klay could play for the Lakers one day. Love these Kobe stories. Mamba lives forever.
Nah, he's not as good now
@@1Solace Yea but he can still shoot the 3 plus it would be cool to see him play for his dad’s old team.
These stories are the reason why I don’t listen to the media or fans when it comes to the stupid, perpetual conversation of who’s the GOAT. The players, those who played against these guys, is all we should be listening to.
Kobe was a good man, so is Klay Thompson❤❤❤❤
i remember being so happy that kobe did the podcast with matt barnes and stephen jackson, that was the first podcast i actually sat down and watched the entire 2 hr episode, it was amazing . Great times man .
Respect Klay. He's a good dude and loves Kobe like me. I miss my guy so much 🐍 Favorite player and biggest hero. Mamba Forever
That’s bro off hurricane season. Loved his character. Favorite movie.
Rest In Power Kobe
One thing I loved about Kobe he was always bringing up the young guys and giving tips and motivation for the next generation cause he knew he wouldn’t be in the league forever. You rarely hear stories about shaq bringing up the young guys he’s always hating on them about something
Clay with the Morro Bay shirt❤ my hometown
Love & miss you Kobe, black mamba forever‼️💯
I love Kay . New fan! Personality 💯 talent 💯 humility 💯
The Mamba Mentality is very Militaristic. Klay said 4:30am 4 mile run only brings back memories of running around the Airfield on Friday nights on post while other soldiers were out partying and drinking. Getting my 8-10 with a 7:30 pace meant that runners high was hittin' followed by a nice cool down and ice bath. A good meal and some great sleep. The best part was always since they knew I was that dedicated to physical training I could enjoy extra sleep while everyone else was freezing their balls off early mornings kinda like Klay said.
✊🏽 88... Long live Kobe... ✌🏽

Klay is such an enjoyable interview. Great stories.

From a rookie who was in awe to flashing 4 fingers for 4 rings!! Not a bad career
Klay’s representing Morro Bay🤙
Mamba Fan forever ❤
I was not a Kobe fan at all when he played. I respected him but didn’t like him. When he retired I missed him and when he died I cried. He demanded that type of respect for what he did for the game and I’m happy he was in the NBA, even if I couldn’t stand him. Like that mean big brother 😂
You worded that perfectly. That's how I felt
This man got Kobes respect on accident 😂😂😂😂
Well, he could have just as easily went to the hotel bar & drink or up in his room playing video games or something when he couldn't sleep. Instead he went to the gym to lift. The champions stay working, Kobe & Klay. Its respect.
@@sunnyside9273 not that it wasnt deserved, just like "damn, i was just tired and tryna put myself to sleep with a quick workout and BOOM Kobe walks in." Its funny 😭
4:17 when klay says when we lost ❤😂
Mamba forever
Kobe was litterelty a unicorn to all these nba all stars
“There wasn’t like an “awe” moment?”
“He gave us 40”😂😭
Kay is a funny dude
Yo P can you give some info on whether or not you are going to be restocking your PG 6s ?
“ that’s what we do”
Paul George was not with that comment 😂😂😂😂
Lakers have the largest fan base we are everywhere
There are levels to the levels like feid says
This is why Klay got 4 rings 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Got 8 and 24 tatted on my wrist 🤞🏾 Long Live The Mamba and GiGi 💜💛
He respected that Klay beat him to the gym. Kobe is legendary for being the 1st in last out workaholic. MJ to a certain extent. Who else was known for that drive?
is Esquire on every episode?? dude is wild😂
NBA 2k must input the mamba mentality into the game
Kobe is my 🐐
You can tell by the way Klay talks that he is this generation's Bill Walton 😂
Anyone know what hat Paul got on
2:48 things happen for a reason. If you believe otherwise then give it time
Klay was like nice shot Kobe 😂
Invite Jimmy Butler to the show
Moral of the story is the story finished us…damn💔🐍
Do Jimmy butler next
Jackie: We good when we not good. lol
the raja bells, bruce bowen, dahntay jones, ruben patterson (kobe stopper LMAO), luis scola, and even ron artest. I think kobes biggest rivalry was with lebron for basketball accolade reasons, but for personal hate reasons it had to be between raja bell or dahntay.
Man Kobe was such a humanitarian. In 2003 he raised a foundation helping women in need in colorado. Just look up Kobe Bryant Colorado 2003 🙏
When he said Bowen under cutting him 😂 Bowen was dirty. Trying to go underneath Kobe’s feet when he shot it 🤦🏾
He kicked Wally in the damn face 💀💀💀
Kobe lives on 🤫
can u get rondo to guest?
Damn Klay is kinda cool
Raja bell trying to kill him 😂
I never liked Kobe. Thought he acted like a jerk most of the time and “issues” in Colorado really put a stain on his reputation for me. That said, it’s amazing to watch the respect and admiration other nba players have for Kobe. It puts him in a different light, even to a Kobe-hater like me.
