For those young bucks out there, Damon Stoudemire was a Point God.
Hight got him under rated fr
Yes Indeed! Im so honored to still have his Blazers jersey from 2000💯
Mighty Mouse
Him and Nicky V
True
Stoudamire, Iverson, Marbury and Francis were like the four horseman of PGs when I was coming up! 🫡
on GoD U ain’t Never Lied on that !!!!!! Str8 facts !!!!!!!!!!! Well said 🫡👏🏾🥶💪🏿💯……..
Man I was just about to say something similar. 👊🏾👊🏾
Baron Davis too
@@chrisisslick facts 🫡☝🏾💯💪🏿🔥
"6" horseman of PGs- stoudamire, AI, Marbury, Franchise, Baron, & Kidd
This is the ONLY sports podcast that allows these guys to speak uninterrupted, THANK YOU Knuckleheads!!
Bro I like all the smoke. Matt Barnes is good at what he does but Loves to interrupt lol
Nah... Q Rich over talks a lot! D Miles does well tho. They have good guests tho
He is speaking facts. I was at the draft in 95..sitting in the newsbleeds booing him. We wanted Ed O'bannon! Man, a few months later Damon was leading the raps to a upset win over the 72-10 Bulls..that look down on ron harper was Coldz ROY. Those might mouse Billboards!!!! Much respect. Life long Raptors fan. Those 1st 4 picks. We hit on them all, we just didn't get to see them all play together. Damon, Camby, Tmac and Vince 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Shout out Ro Russell! Revo. Godfather of AAU in Canada!
Mighty Mouse was tough. Very underrated. Glad Terrell Brandon got mentioned this episode. Hopefully they can land him on the podcast.
Terell Brandon was nice
Speaking on small guards, would love to see Earl Boykins on y'all show fellas
@@knuckleheadspdcastTPT Most definitely would like that my fellow Midwest Brothers. Y'all doing a great job.
even though it didn't end well in toronto.. raptors fans always have love for damon
QRICH needs to stop interrupting Damon - let the man talk!
I met Stoudemire at a exhibition game in St.Louis against the Houston Rockets... He was so down to earth and cool as hell and he gave me his autograph I still have it and this was over 20 yrs ago it was a memory I'll never forget 🏀🏀🏀
@@knuckIeheadspodcastTPT let's discuss 😊
We need a Monta episode
Monta , greg oden & bRoy..
🎯🎯🎯
Stoudemire... So insightful & level-headed. I'm a T.O. native. I was at the draft & first exhibition game against the Nets in the Sky dome. You put us on the map. God bless
Damon Stoudamire aka Mighty Mouse, man if he was 6'3 instead of 5'9 he would've killed the NBA, fast, quick and strong, underappreciated Point Guard!
GP, Baron Davis and now Mighty Mouse gave John Stockton his flowers.
A.I too
Shoutout to Bonzi. Power guard.
Love the platform!
Can we get Arthur Agee and William Gates on the show? I would love to see those cats on the platform. Hoop dreams was one of the most impactful and influential documentaries ever made.
Great idea!!
Hit the nail on the head that was a classic, a moment
Faaaaactz!
Real talk I finally got to meet Arthur Agee last yr in Chicago that meant the world to me that I got to share with him how that movie lit a fire under my soul and how my cousin and I would watch that movie so religiously until the tape popped that would be dope if they would put them on here.. because that movie had a huge impact on the basketball world🏀
People sleep on Mighty Mouse! Dude was COLD AF back in the day. Didn't get all the shine like some other PGs, but everyone that knew basketball and followed the NBA respected his game and knew he was a problem when he played their team!
Knuckleheads are my favorite hoops podcast, by far!
A lot of their peers know how special and dope this podcast is, the fans need to recognize this as well. Great episode g’z 💯🙌🏾
This should be pinned.
Few understand why this is the best basketball podcast. I HATE when they compare all the smoke to this. Not even in the same stratosphere.
@@Beyondthenumbers it shows the difference of people who are in it for the love of basketball and people who love drama and basketball.
You guys said exactly what I was thinking. D & Q are fire and ice. Q brings the heat and D the cool. PERFECT INTERVIEW SKILLS
@@philliphill9100 you can just tell they eat and breathe basketball. They love rhe sport and they love everyone’s journey. And it’s so cool for us fans to get a scoop of what these guys went through from a child to high school to college to the pros. Just awesome. I love these guys
Q rich always ask the same question 20 times before he let the guest answer 😂😂 I love it tho
This dude was cold!! Especial them blazers days mannnn 💪🏽🐁
As a lefty that grew up in the 90’s him Nicky V an Kenny Anderson was my favorite players
Helluva whip
I fell in love with college hoops and the Arizona WildCATS watching Damon Stoudamire, Khalid Reeves, Chris Mills, Reggie Geary, and Lute Olson light up the McKale Center. #BearDown
Didn’t know how great
we had it back then
Mighty Mouse was that guy, one of my favorite PG's since Arizona, SALUTE !!!
Wise words- “ we were winning but it didn’t feel right “.
Dame mentioned 'Scarborough'. This man
knows, he's an honorary mandem for that shoutout.
My T.O. ppl know. 🫡
I was in high school in downtown inner city Toronto when he played for the raps. we all idolized this guy. Got to meet him at a game. I remember it was raptors vs Washington bullets. My friends dad was the camera guy so we went on the court after the game and I met him and Oliver Miller. He was the nicest dude. I had his shoes too, they were dope asf.
Gratitude.
I remember Mekhi Phifer wore a Damon Stoudemire Arizona jersey in the Spike Lee movie Clockers.
Peace to Kenny Anderson , Stephon Marbury and Georgia Tech.
I recall Brandon had some stellar seasons with The Cavs.
J Kidd was super stellar.
Clockers is one of the greatest movies ever to me as a project baby. That and Fresh are highly underrated and unappreciated.
@@scrilluchiano4789Talking about underrated. Do you remember " Strapped" with Bokeem Woodbine and Fredro Starr from Onyx? Super underrated joint.
@@missayawk hood classic fs and the one when his chick was fuckn with the tarot cards.
@@scrilluchiano4789 " Caught Up"....that one was good too. Had a little mystery and surprise ending. Good one.
Favorite player growing up I remember watching him when I was ten. Some of my favorite moments as blazer fan were this guy. Nothing but love from Portland for him. Good to see him post NBA just as successful
Him and Khalid Reeves where a crazy backcourt at Arizona
I grew up a sad Warriors fan. So I gravitated to the west coast guys. I loved the Damon when he was with the Blazers
This man dropped so GEMS!!! Thats why hes a COACH!! He's SHARP!!💯
Very
Mighty Mouse, I used to watch a lot of your games on tv when you were playing for Toronto. I even went to Skydome for a Raptors game to see you play. I was a big fan of yours. The original number 20 of the Toronto Raptors. Toronto loves you!
Damon was my guy from the time I was 10 until I graduated. When he came home to PDX that was like Christmas to me. Still have every one of his basketball cards I ever found in a special case.
Edit after listening: how refreshing. Very insightful and intelligent and I am so glad he is doing well and I am rooting for him at Georgia Tech
Mighty Mouse legend
I was at the skydome when mighty mouse was drafted.....skipped school that day
I remember Damon Stoudamire. This brother was real good. He was always in control. Even in the interview he has a certain presence. Great interview by the way.
I was at that draft and my boy and I were one of the few people cheering because we knew. Everyone else wanted Ed O'Bannon. I'm glad we made the right pick.
Dam never knew how cool, smart , and Grounded Damon was, I guess I never really knew much about him and his personality in general ! Greta interview
Stoudamire, Christie, Camby, Macgrady, Carter. That could've been a squad
Don't forget about Chris Bosh
Bosh was in the 2003 draft...the other player mentioned were drafted from 1995 - 1998 and actually played together. Damon was traded just before Vince Carter came to the Raptors. But Bosh did play with Vince and Andre Bargnani from Italy much later.
Great interview. I remember Damon from his Arizona days. Dude was cold 🥶
Love a player who ready to tell stories to make the pod go by so effortlessly.
Mighty Mouse. Man I had the throwback Raptors jersey when I was a kid. An loved his game because he was the first lil' player who I could relate too.
Great interview!! Love Damon.
Thank God I been waiting on this
Incredible Player!
36:46....People can love or hate Isiah Thomas, but him coming to Damon and getting him to sign off on a trade is different. That is something ONLY a player would have empathy for another. Its more than just players for players as business. Its about relationships and friendships. I can't imagine any other GM/ owner doing what Isiah did. Much respect.
One of my all time favorite PG !! SOLID !!
Great interview! He’s a great storyteller!
1:12 November 13, 1995 TO BE EXACT.
Stockton got 29 pts on 11/16 shooting, 12 assists, on 7/9 FTs
Mighty Mouse got 4 pts on 3/11 shooting, 9 assists, 6 turnovers and 4 personal fouls.
Got his ass busted on both ends. It was so bad John Salley can’t even hold Malone and Stockton’s PNR plays 😂😂😂
U took time to Google the stats lol
Great conversation 🔥🔥🔥
Damon was QUICK and SMOOOVE
PORTLAND LEGEND. AND ONE OF THE BEST EVER!
His GT team took some major scalps this year. UNC, Duke, Mississippi St, Clemson, Wake Forest. Keep up the good work! Excited to see GT grow to prominence
When I first started watching Knucleheads it was about 5 episodes before I knew that was Darius Miles. He was a kid the last time I looked at him. He was playing in Cleveland the last time I looked at him.
My intro to basketball was through those early Raptors teams and I learned to play basketball by watching Damon. I had his jersey and I hated when he left but hearing his thoughts now of what could have been warms my heart. I still love him he’s a Raptor 4 life and Kyle wearing his jersey for the parade was so cool.
"Mighty Mouse" in the house! This is lit, thanks, Knucklehead Podcast.
Lot of learning lessons in there for the next generation. He's going to have a ton of success in Atlanta with GT! Nice job on the interview.
bro y’all my favorite to hear interview the legends
Y'all always have some Dope guest and interviews, but would also love to hear from some of the slept on players from the 80's/90's like Spud Webb, Dana Burrows, Kendall Gill, Terry Cummings, Kevin Willis, Derek Harper, Tom Gugliotta. Vinny Johnson etc...
Stockton, BYA. Good call....great vet right here. Another nice call with Macon out there and Damon calling out these players.
When I heard Damon Stoudamire was hired to be head coach at Georgia Tech I was stunned that we got such a respected NBA coach to take over the program. I love listening to this man speak because he is real, he is genuine, he knows basketball, he is a teacher, and he has so much to share with young players. I am no expert but I can see when a team is maturing in front of my eyes and that’s what is happening both in the wins and losses. I’m all in with Coach Damon Stoudamire and I enjoyed this show and will definitely be watching your show moving forward.
I became of a U of A fan bc of this man. Watching him and Khalid Reeves, still one of my favorite backcourts of all time.
Saw D Miles all black ROLLS ROYCE and Range Rover at the Soft Touch on the Eastside Much love to the pod
Dope episode
Mighty Mouse and The Guys, Live On Location!!!
That was awesome
That early 00s Portland was my favorite dark horse in the Western Conference. They could've, should've at least won 1 championship IMHO.
Yeah them and the Kings were scary good back then
Was it rigged for the Lakers?!
@@Lakeshow82 early 00s Western Conference was so stacked back then, literally any of the top 7 teams can win it all LA, Dallas, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Minnesota, and Jazz. Not just because of the star players of the teams but the depth quality of the bench of each of those rosters
@loodakris5928 No they did choke game 7 away though enough with the excuses
@@terencejones4057 the kings vs lakers series was rigged. thats why i asked. and the bucks vs sixers was probably rigged also so the sixers would play the lakers in the finals.
As a Portland native who grew up watching Damon’s Blazers, this was fun to listen too
Wilson HS legend.
big yes!
The Nike Flight Air Turbulence is my ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!
My favorite point dame Stoudamire and on the low Terrell Brandon...and that jetlife shirt 🔥
D Miles and Baron Davis was my favorite. I’m a straight man. But when any type of D Miles story is being told I be grinning like kid lol. Childhood stuff. Portland D Miles was about to take off before the injuries. ✊🏾😤✊🏾
I love him in Portland
Mighty Mouse!
My 1st authentic jersey I ever bought was his #20 pinstriped Raptors Jersey

Oregon loves you too.
Another great interview with Mighty Mouse. Dude was definitely nice
Damn i wanted Dame to stay in Toronto SO BAD its shocking to see how regretful he is about leaving.... I had his Raptors jersey!!!

Made the Raptors relevant during this first few seasons. The lone bright light on a sad squad.
Great commentary and Podcast. D. Miles this is Donnie Cross from St Louis, my brother.
Nice to hear his story. Saw him on the Celts staff. I always liked his game but didnt know he was my height. lol
Confirmed, we grew up on him in Toronto!
This was the era where the point guards got the green light to score
Now they don’t?
Mighty Mouse💪💯
Great episode. Would love to see Elton Brand and Stephon Marbury on here sometime
Q was funny as hell at that end 😂
My GUY Mighty Mouse 🔥🔥🔥
Hear me out. Listen to this with your eyes closed for a lil bit and tell me you don't hear Terrence Howard coming thru 🤣. Great interview once again fellas!
I agree. I hear some T.Howard combined with some T.I too.
It's crazy how many say Stockton!
