Love that you share thoughts on Cases you can actually find in stock, I actually had a similar thought with the North and Terra and tweeted it to Fractal a while back "Hey, a North itx version, something to think about huh.." and they responded "We will certainly pass on your suggestion to our design team.", thanks for sharing and keep those build coming!
A North ITX would be godly.
Really nice summary of your ITX builds. I've watched all of them, and the content and production quality in your videos keeps getting better and better. Excellent stuff. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Absolutely LOVE the ITX content! Keep it up!
I've been using the NR200 P Max for about a year and I don't regret my choice. I love itx format but had enough of those cases where you can only fit one little 120mm cpu cooler. The NR200p max comes with an included 280mm AIO watercooling, a sfx psu and a Pcie 4.0 riser. Best value. Great cooling and very low noise level. 👍
Add some thin 120mm fans as bottom mounted exhausts and you’ll enjoy it even more
@@maxwellgriffith A lot of test I saw showed that it had little or no effect on temps, and increased noise. So I didn't try. Works fine as is.
@@TaxiDiver100 I should have specified with the vented side panel. Machines & More tested some configs and arrived at bottom and exhaust and top exhaust (side intake directly at gpu).
@@maxwellgriffithThe case sits on my desk, on my right side.and I found out the glass panel really soften the noise, so I'm using it... Maybe I sacrified some performance in exchange for some more silence, but that's fine for me.
@@maxwellgriffith I had it as intake and the AIO at top as exhaust and that worked really well for temps. Was even better than I thought in terms of impact.
your video is one of the many I watched while I was building my terra build. It was of great help. nice man!
I loved the S300 build you did and ended up building a ITX PC for my mom taking tips from your video. It is a sleek build and the included handle really makes it a portable option.
i did an s400 and love it
Thank you for the rundown. Really enjoying the videos on this channel.
Keep up the mini-itx cases, my favorite content and the reason i subbed
While it may not be as well-built or visually interesting as the cases mentioned here, I think the A4-H2O is also worth considering. It was fairly easy to build in even for a SFF newcomer like myself, and it's very reasonably priced.
How portable is it?
Very portable. I fit it in a 40L backpack with plenty of room to spare (probably like 5-10 liters of extra space).
I would say looks wise it can easily keep up with cases mentioned in the video. And at the same time it's not expensive as some mentioned here.
My favorite case of all time is the Dan Case C4 SFX and it's a terrible shame more people couldn't get their hands on it due to limited production. I got one on Amazon for $270 like two days before it dropped off and never came back. I'll cherish this case for a very long time and i'm very lucky to have gotten it.
I actually have a silver C4. It's a great case and it has no problems housing huge graphics cards. I also love the fact it supports 135mm air coolers. That said, I'm currently looking into downsizing to the Formd T1.
Surprised to not see the Meshroom D on the list. Especially since you got such incredible thermals on it. Awesome video, as always! Thanks for all of your hard work.
He said favorite cases, which means it probably wasn’t his favorite
You gotta do an A4 H2O build! One of the best itx cases
Great video once again dude! My favourite is the current one I have (Xtia Xproto ATX case (the V1 version). It is under 17 litres and it has everything I could ask for and more so won’t upgrade that case any time soon
I think the Lian-Li Dan A4-H2o should be on this list. Is much like the IQUnix, but a bit more compact and more minimalistic in design.
The issue with the NR200 Max is that CM doesn't sell the case by itself. I want the interior redesign for top radiator mounting but I don't need the PSU or the AIO.
The NR200p and NR200p Max are not the same case! The NR200p has no top radiator option (without modifications), which is a real bummer.
That’s because only the p variant supports horizontal gpu orientations, which won’t allow room for top radiators d/t motherboard height
The nr200p max is hands down the easiest case to build in.
@@ItsPhurpl yes, but easy is not necessarily the main objective for everyone.
I want to be able to choose my own PSU and cooler/radiator for example and I don't care if it takes a bit longer to build or if it is more complicated.
True, which is why I’m the nr200p I just used a 280mm be quiet! Rad so it can go on the bottom and not have the potential pump orientation issue.
The NR200P also only supports 2 slot GPUs vertically.
The vid is 5months old now so super excited for an update next month! You should do a top itx cases in the current market. Have some categories like best budget, mid range, high end, portable, vertical, most compatible etc categories.
This was actually a really good video. Informative and not full of fluff. Thank you
Watching your videos makes me want to rebuild my whole setup to some super clean ITX box.
I think the Lian LI Q58 shouldn't be overlooked. Built my first SFF in it and I think that for someone who has many drives, it is one of the best cases to use!
its a nice case to bad nobody has it in stock
Dan case A4 & H2O(the best sub 11L for watercooling and big 4090)
The Velka 7 case us one I really want to try on my next build! Its only a tad bigger than the Velka 5 but supports SFX power supplies!
Devyn i love your taste in design, and when my right arm heals i'm going to build one of my those small PC. Thanks young man, and yes i'm old. 64.
The FormD T1 is my favorite. I ordered a titanium colored one that is arriving tomorrow. I'm still gathering parts, but when I saw the case in stock, I jumped on it.
I thought those have been out of production?
@MarigoldAW For some reason my reply keeps getting deleted. But yeah, they have it in stock. Their old site doesn't update so you need to find their new one. I try to include it in my reply but I think that's what gets it deleted.
@@ghost-type both URLs for T1 are linked in description
I love your work, it would be nice to see your personal setup !
Your velka 3 video is really impressive and make me want me to build one myself. Also, you may want to try lzmod a24-v5 for the 4060 lp.
You deserve more subs for the quality of your content!
Thank you for sharing your input on this ❤
I saw your s300 video. I will be building in it this weekend for my sons first gaming pc. I wanted something small but more budget friendly and i think itll do the trick!
i wonder is it also possible to mount the AIO on the T1 on the top cause having it mounted on the bottom will kill the aio slowly overtime or like swap the bottom plate and top plate around to the aio gets to the top?
I wish I got my hands on a DAN C4-SFX.
The Fractal Terra is kind of bad, since the noiseprofile of the slitted sidepanels is very annoying and you can't fit a 4090 (or most other cards) without downsides to CPU-cooling.
Using a NR200P Sakura Limited Edition atm.
My secondary PC is in a Densium 4+ V1 (5L), very similar to the Velka 3, but it is longer, fitting upto 220mm cards. 1x 4070 fits with a little modding.
Hey, brother. What do you recommend for a workstation for engineering tasks (aersopace) and light gaming but I would also like power efficiency?
hey devyn, you should check out the JIMU D+, it was originally a formd t1 clone but its very much its own case. the formd t1 actually took some features from it. id love to see you do a comparison of the two.
I like the Fractal Ridge quite a bit. It's pretty slick looking.
I just did an SFF mini itx build using a Lian Li A4-H2O case. Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RX6800XT gpu.
What mini ITX case would you recommend for XFX RX 7800xt ( 326mm in length and 58mm thick)?
This is my itx wrapped of the year. I’ll love to see you build in one of the Chinese brand itx cases. Budget friendly but highly exceeded my expectations.. try the shiny snake s300 or s400 I’m seeing no youtubers building with these
Oh man I'm just in the middle of building the s400 with a 7900 xtx!
i think hes built in the s300 before
He has built in the s300. One of the best videos on CZcams for building in that case. I bought one this past blackfriday along with parts for my son's build this weekend.
@ 10:47 you can see either the s300 or s400 I don’t remember which one it is.
He did a S300 build and it made me RUN out to get one. My favorite ITX case, but I've only built in a NR200 and Terra.
Just resenly built nr300p max. Big thanks for recommendation. Спасибо
thanks for these uploads! which build is your favorite and which would you recommend for someone wanting to spend under 1.5k if possible?
The new Fractal ERA 2 looks very interesting and I'd like to see how the integrated dual SSD caddy actually works in a speed test with the new gen 4 SSDs. Hope you get around to building in this soon. Also to use the new Thermal Take SFX PSU. That could be very handy for power connections.
What do you think of the fractal torrent nano? It's an itx case but more of a larger form factor.
Can you fit micro atx case in these ?
I really want to build a fractal terra build but I move a lot due to my parent job and because of that I am afraid that I break something while I am voyaging with them should I still get an itx pc or should I just get a powerful laptop?
I'd like to ask, is the NR 200p max offers big improvements over the nzxt h1? I checked them, and the 200p max for me costs 3 times the price of the h1. Is the price increase actually somewhat justified? I only want to build a midrange PC in it, but for futureproofing, i'm ok with the extra cost.
Not exactly a case but i liked the Xtia itx build you did and found the video very useful.
What are the best flat itx or m-ATX cases that can fit full size GPUs (briefcase style) ?
Nothing is beating FormD T1
Mechanically i agree, tough shipping, tax and import in EU is same as case is priced, which steers people off it
Can I use a atx regular power supply?
Been out of the SFF scene for a few years now. This was a nice video to catch back up
Your a beast for itx category ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your S300 build inspired me to go smaller than the Meshilcious and NR200. I love that case and sad to see it was missing on this list.
Hi man, amazing info, thank you! Thinking about mini render station fo 3dsmax + corona render based on amd 7950x and looking for a small case like lian li dan h20, Meshroom S V2 or other similar. I'm not sure it will be cooled enough, cause i need 24/7 rendering at 4.8-5 MHz all cores and max AIO for those cases is 240mm radiator, means 2x120mm fans. How do you think is it possible to make such a tiny render station?
any suggestion for itx case that can fit 330mm gpu?
I need a itx case that takes an off psu and no gpu does one exist outside the inwin one?
not a fan of lian li A4 h2o?
Love the comparison
I think the ridge is a pretty good option for those with limited desk space.
i built a ridge pc, trust me its not worth it, had to limit cpu and still faced lot of heating issues
I built my wifes new ITX Gaming machine in this KXRORS S400 - Mini-ITX PC Gaming Case - It's a great case that you may want to look into. The handle on top makes it a good choice for LAN parties.
Nice!! Love a good handled case!
The Q58 goes hard
great video, thanks!!
when you said you wonder about the terra having a front similar to the north and I immediately thought if the terra was 17mm longer and if the front panel was slotted like the side panels but completely walnut, making room for a 120mm/140mm slim fan.
Which ITX case is most quiet that can fit large fans?
Thanks for review.
Dan A4-H20 is definitely my favourite ITX case so far
Fantastic case at a reasonable price
@@shoobadoo123 definitely. The volume is still very small and looks super clean too imo
How loud are these cases though?
ITX is such a cool form factor
I recently built in a Cyberwood M1 Mini-ITX case and rather like it, but it's probably not worth covering since it doesn't stand out from other sandwich style cases (besides being made out of plywood).
Great video, surprised the Corsair 2000D didn't make it into the list.
Would be cool to see a case manufacturer make something like the velkase but with a slight bulge in the side panel to get us to that 77-ish millimeter height clearance level. That lets us shove something like a 13900K into these builds with adequate cooling.
I hope you could try out more ITX cases from China as there are a ton of options there (metalfish, aklla, jonsbo etc.) I specifically found interest in the Metalfish T40, hoping you could check that one out too 😊 cheers!
The FormD T1 would be PERFECT if it came with a colour-matched side panel!
I wish there was a case similar to the H1 v2 but with a large fan at the top similar to the series x. Mine is loud and runs pretty hot with the lack of airflow.
Probably the one I'm interested is the Ncase m1evo, very few videos I've seen here on CZcams
Great material ! Sff holder.
Nice video, thank you. I'm looking to build my wife a sffpc basically for work (MS office, Internet, nothing gaming) and am looking at a MB (Asus z790) and CPU (14900k) with 64 or 96gb ram and want it to handle 2 4k monitor w/out a GPU. All air-cooled with the Noctua NH-L12S (or larger if able to). Building this all inside the Fractal Design Ridge case. However your video has given me some nicer options as I'd like to display the PC but wife only wants it on the floor. What do you think of this (pro/con) and what case (absolute favorite that she would want to display it), CPU and MB would you recommend? Thank you.
I've been looking into SFF builds lately, but it seems like dust filters are just not a thing on the vast majority of ITX/mATX cases.
As someone who doesnt use headphones and is irritated by fan noise, are these loud or can they be quiet? My current computer is a bit older now and needs replacing, and I'm so irritated by the hissing sound the fans make when I do almost anything..
opinions on Ncase FormD T1 v2.5
is the pump on that aio on the rad
built using the iqnix and that case is something else
I absolutely love the "Shiny Snake" series of portable cases from KXRORS, and I wish it had made it on the list. :)
Would love to see you to try out the new 500W GaN powersupply from HDPlex in the Velka 3!
My favourite is the KXRORS (known as Shiny Snake in Asia) S300, 400 and 500. Also I believe your channel has never featured the ITX cases from AKKLA or Mechanical Master?
10:54 what case are you holding is both hands here?
Should had included the case from Lunchbox Gaming PC video, so compact and i got a 3080 and a i7 11700 running on it. My favorite case, amazing price and sturdy.
You gotta check out some of Sliger’s cases. I’m currently using a Sliger s620….the Formd T1 is still on my “to buy” list
Any news on the NR200P V2? It was supposed to hit the market in February, but when I directly asked Cooler Master they did not even have the official specs yet. I'd like confirmation that it will actually fit my TUF 7900 XT 🙂 as PCWorld claimed in their CES video. Would be great to see this on this channel.
Hi. I am trying to build my first PC and I happen to have 12900E CPU, 2x16gb DDR5 SODIMM and 1TB NVMe. Do have any recommendations for MB and GPU? I mainly play Ark. Thanks!
Hey guys, I’m actually thinking about doing an ITX build myself (first time ever). I could really use some help on picking the right parts, do you see any problems with the following setup?:
Case: fractal terra (black)
Motherboard: ASRock B650i lightning WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 7800x3D
CPU Cooler: ID-Cooling IS-55
GPU: ASUS ProArt 4080 Super
RAM: 2x16gb DDR5 Vengeance 6000Mhz
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2tb
Power: Corsair SF750
Fan: Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM
Fan grill 120mm
Cables: Corsair premium 600W 12+4 pin
Would be cool to see an Air Cooled mid range build in the Asus Prime AP201. Its such a nice looking case while being fairly affordable and it being M-ATX makes it more cost effective in terms of parts.
But it looks big for a m-Atx case. I would consider one of the more compact SAMA IM01 clones (Itek, Nox, etc). Sized and looks similar to NR200, but with m-Atx support. Although there are no recent YT builds on it for AM5, and from what I have read, some motherboards that have bottom IO are not compatible.
@@dexter_hacks The size of the AP201 is actually not that big of a deal to me , I already have an M-ATX (5700x/RX6600)build in a DLM 21 and I was thinking about changing cases so the AP201 looked appealing. Another reason im looking at the AP201 is because its one of the smallest cases I can find in local stores where I live and ive never bought anything off of places like Aliexpress and im worried if the cases comes damaged or something on how to deal with warranty and stuff , buying computer parts off local stores is a lot easier for me.
Would like too see a mechanic master build c28,c+ . Keep the good work!!
I think it's a shame that there are no more ITX cases in the HTPC style, i.e. form factor like an AV amplifier. What fits into a television board...
I am a fan of the ASUS Prime AP201 Not really a mini ITX case but smaller than a lot of cases that can fit a 360 and 240 rad
I eyed it, but ended up with Jonsbo D30 in the end.
Does a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC fit in an NR200P Max? GPU specs is 340 mm and clearance on the NR is 336mm but has anyone managed to squeeze on in and done so safely?
My biggest gripe with FormD T1 is for the price point they give you zero front IO... Not to mention to even get ONE type C USB you have to buy a separate kit for it at 45 dollars... Meanwhile the Fractal Terra is priced even lower at the same volume and gives you USB 3.2 and Type C.
No lian li a4 h20?
Are there cases that are small like an Itx but support matx
Any thoughts on the NanoQ?
Great great round up maybe check out the Dan A4 - H2O
I'm really struggling to choose between the T1 and the terra. I love how compact and clean the T1 is, but the Terra's walnut piece looks so good, I js don't know how to choose loll
also I've seen a lot a good things about the Dan A4-H2O, so now I really don't know what to choose. Can y'all pls help me decidee 🙏
1 month late I’m sure you already found your answer but I would eliminate fractal from your list, for the size and amount of cooling it provides, not only is it just as big as any other cases, it doesn’t support water cooling like the t1, Dan a4 h20, iqunix. I would recommend the h20 due to how safe the choice is in price/availability, cooling, size, and quality. The only annoying issue I have with h20 is the material lian li uses, just never been a fan of the material they used for their cases.
